As the sun sets on the distant caves of the sun-drown place, the vile stench of blood fills the air. Two cats, a young apprentice and a small, blind kit flee. Shortly afterwards comes everyone else, darting from their homes in an attempt to get away from the attacks.
"SandStar!" the female holding the young kit calls. The large, pale golden tom and the apprentice both turn. SandStar says, in his deep voice, "nightlight, take the two far away. Me and the Warriors will deal with this." he pushes the apprentice towards his mate. "bloodWolf, take good care of Blindkit for me."

A large golden cat wakes up, standing on a rock in the clearing. "CliffClan. " he calls. "may all cats strong enough to climb the clifftop gather by the sandrock." he said. "i have decided to send the silver kit away, as she is the daughter of a medicine cat. " the medicine cat, in the crowd, looked ashamed, shuffling backwards. "but, on a happier note, they are with my two kin, bloodWolf and Goldenpaw. I hope the silver kit understands our actions. " he sighed. "we also mark the arrival of a new clan member. Step forward. " he beckons you.

sandStar looked around camp. he had no deputy - his cloest ally and mate, nightlight had dissapeared. he was hopeful of her return, like FireStar and GreyStripe. he told himself. That kits tale had a happy ending. the grey warrior returned. he was welcomed. he had always missed nightlight and his two sons.
goldenpool looked around for cinnamonpaw - her appentice.

The white shecat pushed out her paws, stretching in her nest. Her tail swept the sand behind her as her claws poked out from her toes. Giving a small mew of pleasure, the warrior rights herself, blinking her blue eyes open and glancing around the den. Brother's awake, as usual. Silkfang thought to herself, lifting a hind paw to scratch at her left ear. There was a small red welt under it, most likely from a tick or flea bite. She would have to ask Goldenpool or Cinnamonpaw to check it later.

The sleek warrior trotted into the camp entrance, a small waterbird clamped between his jaws. He notices his leader sitting with a thoughtful expression on his face. Spikeleap felt a small pang of sympathy for his leader. He had never taken a mate, but he knew how hard it was to loose a family member. His younger sister, Fallenleaf, had been killed in the attacks at the old camp. Shaking the thoughts away, the tom trots to Sandstar, dropping the waterbird at his leader's paws. "Good morning, Sandstar. The hunting is quite fine today, would you like to go on a patrol with me?" Spikeleap blinked as he spoke, not missing a beat. His voice started out with a cheery note, but once he got to the question part it fell monotone. That was normal; Spikeleap had trouble making his voice not flat and boring.

Lilacpaw rolled out of the apprentice den, his tail bushed as he fought off a dream. "Ya! I win!" he yowled, opening his eyes, then realizing where he was. "Oh, uh. Oops?" The tom chuckled, hoping no one had saw his display. Getting up, he shook the sand out of his pelt and began to work on attempting to piece his nest back together.

"yes, some more food could help the clan through leaf -fall and leaf-bare." SandStar said, his thoughts about nightlight suddenly cut off. "if you bring your sister and her apprentice, it may also give them a little practice. " he said.

Shaking his pelt and pluffes his tail, as he walked to the two toms like he was king of the whole world "Good Morning Spikeleap, Sandstar" he meowed loudly and walked next to the sand colored leader. He get so close at him, that their pelts was touching each other. This could made some cats to feel little awkward, but he didn't care. At last he was the one to looking at.

Luckily the fresh kill pile was half full of prey, when she waked up. She rolled her eyes, when her Brother went to the leader and Spikeleap as always using his charm 'do he never learn?' she sighed to herself. Pawing the pile she choised a small soft mice and taked it to the nursery "Circuskit, are you wake yet?" she meowed looking inside the dark den "Are you hungry? I bringed you a mice" she said.

She was sitting next to the apprenices den entrance, seeing as the Lilacpaw padded out of it. She really wasen't mood of talking, what happened to Blindpaw and his family haunded her mind. She really wanted to know what they did wrong to get exiled, of course she could hate Sandstar, but she cannot do so. As a clan leader he have his reasons and the Cliffclan is experienced a lot bad thinks resendly.
