xxxxxthe tom stared around the den, hearing the medicine cat utter that the two queens were dead, his apprentice following suit in a panic. he froze, turning to his sister as she roused and padded over. "i-icekit, i-i-" he breathed, barely comprehending the entire situation until tornadostorm raced off towards another den, who's it was, he wasn't sure, but by the rate she ran off and the fact that jaybird was already in here, it must've been someone else equally as important, he concluded. he turned to stare at featherpaw, whiskers twitching at the raw emotion in her eyes, falling to his haunches in defeat.

xxxxx"mama and d-day-d-daycloud... they're not... i-i- w-we w-w-w-wont-" the ginger tom's lower lip trembled, his whole body following suit as his stammer grew more and more prominent, the thick fur around his neck beginning to frizz up. he barely noted the few other cats that trailed into and out of the den in shock, his ears pinning to the side of his head as he stared, wide-eyed at the bodies of the two queens.
