TuftedFur retreated into the bushes, humbled and embarrassed. “Is the coast clear?” Snowdrop asked as she peeked from the cave.

Twistedroot struggled to look. "I think so." The tom replied hesitantly.

Snowdrop limped towards the entrance of the cave, her paw was obviously uncomfortable, but there wasn’t much she could do about it. “I think we’re good to come out. They’ve stopped fighting.”

Twistedroot nodded to aknowledge her, and limped painfully next to her.

“You hungry? I think the others have finally finished eating, you should have eaten something. Go pick something out of the prey pile, and I’ll get what you don’t have... you’re ranked higher then I am.” Snowdrop gestured with one paw to the pile of prey, which sat in a pile in the middle of camp.

"Uh, NO. I'll get two squirrels and give you one." He purred.

Snowdrop hesitated. “A-Are, you sure? I’m not supposed to eat till the other cats of higher ranks are finished...”

"Yes, I am." He grabbed a squirrel and gave her one. "Now let's eat I'm starving!"

"Uh, okay.." Snowdrop gingerly grabbed the squrriel, trying to ignore the prickly looks a few of the others had given her. "A-Are you sure that you feel alright? Because you look a little pained..."
