Ophelia (Lia, Ophi) is a daughter of Demeter, and
she has average-length, beautiful golden-brown hair
and blue-green eyes. She has a knack for gardening,
but strangely does not obsess over cereal as her si-
blings do. She likes to read about flowers and their
meaning, and recently started at Camp Half-Blood.
Her abilities are (she doesn't know she has them)
Geokinesis - the ability to control the earth, but si-
nce her mother is not Gaia, that ability is limited.
Next is Phytokinesis - the ability to create, control,
manipulate or animate plant life. She has very lim-
ited Atmokinesis as well, the ability to control the
weather (but in small amounts of time). She's tryi-
ng to get plant-teleportation powers, but that's ju-
st not happening right now. She'll keep on trying,
though! Ophelia likes making friends, but it's kind
of hard to, since she has a lot of shyness in her.
These aren't exactly powers, but she knows what
every edible/drinkable/consumable thing has insid-
e, and has no allergies whatsoever. She likes to spe-
nd time with satyrs and nymphs when she's not doi-
ng anything else, and they appreciate it a lot. It's
fun to learn about others, even if they aren't demi-
gods or mortals - a very, very cool thing to say 😎

At her old school she went to when she was 12, she
was teased for having crushes who didn't like her b-
ack, which she didn't really care about because she
knew that she'd be going off to another school next
year. She typically sticks to having 2-3 close friends,
since she does not want to be popular. She was goo-
d friends with Rachel, the Oracle, but not really clo-
se. She was devastated when she heard she was mis-
sing, though, the reason for quest-volunteering. <3

Athanasios (Thanos, Bear) is a pretty chill
guy. About the nickname "Bear" - his last na-
me, Arkadios, means bear. Thanos has curly
blonde hair and chocolate brown eyes, and
even though he tries not to be, he can be an-
noyingly flirtatious. He likes to wear gray
clothes with bright colours on them, especia-
lly bright yellow - his father is the sun god.

Thanos tends to hang out with those not in
his cabin, as he gets bullied a few times a
day because he isn't the best at healing. He
tried a lot of times, but it's not his best tale-
nt. He only does it correctly if it's a life-or-d
eath situation, for some reason. Thanos loves
to sing, and he's exceptional at playing the ly-
re. He can sometimes put people to sleep.

Noah doesn't have any nicknames, unless you count "Lover Boy" one.
He has a beautiful afro, gleaming dark brown eyes, and a pretty smile.
His abilities so far are Amokinesis (controlling other's feelings of love),
Charmspeak (influencing others with his voice), and only just a little bit
of the skill Shapeshifting (changing his appearance). He's still not sure
what other Aphrodite themed abilities he may have or is able to learn.
He tends to flirt with anyone around, but lately he's had his sights set
on one specific girl... which is the reason why he embarked on this ad-
venture in the first place. As soon as Ophelia stepped foot onto Camp
Halfblood, he knew he was in love. And that's really saying something.
Other than that, he has lots of friends and is good at making more. He
tends to see himself as very loveable and will charm anyone if able to.
He's allergic to bees and will swell up badly if he's stung. Luckily, he do-
esn't experience anaphylaxis after an aphid encounter. Some of his fav-
orite hobbies include poetry writing (and slam poetry nights), playing
the violin, speaking French, and occasionally baking French pastries.

Amalthea Calimeris is a young Greek girl born to a mortal
woman and the god Poseidon. Her first name means
"tender goddess", and her surname means "good morning".
Most people call her Thea, but her bullies tend to call
her Calamari -- a squid delicacy similar to her surname.
She really hates this nickname, and the bullies. Thea
has chest-length, dark brown hair and bright blue eyes
commonly seen in children of Poseidon. So far, the powers
that she's developed have been Hydrokinesis (control of
water), a little bit of Atmokinesis (control of weather,
mostly rain), breathing underwater, heat immunity,
nautical navigation skills, communication with marine
life, and a little healing. She especially loves horses and
feels a deep sense of kinship with them. Her hobbies
include drawing, swimming, singing (very badly in her
opinion), and caring for the horses and/or Pegasi in camp.
Thea tends to wear darker clothing. She feels as if she
doesn't fit in, even in Camp Halfblood. She doesn't really
have any friends, and she's closed off from everyone.
Although she's compassionate, Thea doesn't let just
anyone get close to her and to her big heart. She doesn't
want to get hurt... again. Let's just say that she doesn't
have the greatest relationship with her mother, and she
was raised by an equally distant aunt. Although Camp
Halfblood is a new big change, she's very pessimistic.
In fact, she's not even sure why she was asked to go on
this mission... especially with Thanos. He's so annoying.

what could be more boring than eating without any conversation?" she asked Thanos, who sat at her table. The other Demeter kids has already finished their food and were on the way to the campfire. "Lia, stop that. I think it's dead now. Thanos pointed to the pizza. "Also, it would be better if you made more friends. You can't only have me forever." Ophelia sighed again, and nearly blushed. She had a small crush on Thanos, but she didn't really pay attention to it. She noticed Noah Tate looking over from the Aphrodite Table, and she waved. Thanos was right - she had to make some new friends. "Sorry," Ophelia smiled sheepishly at Thanos. "I guess you're right. Hey, what are you looking at? she waved her hand in front of Thanos face.

Thanos ignored the hand in front of his face. He was too busy checking out the other tables. He spotted the Apollo Table, pointing at him. He almost cried. Ever since he'd failed to fix his half-sister's turtle's sprained leg, he'd been the joke of his cabin. He quickly shifted his eyes from them to the Poseidon Table. He payed close attention to the new kid, Amalthea, when Ophelia hit his hand gently. "Sorry, what did you say?" Thanos asked, giving his attention away to Ophelia. "I didn't hear you.." Ophelia laughed. "I told you you were right." she smiled. "About new friends. Maybe if we get to go on a quest I'll find some." Thanos nodded. "Yeah." he mumbled. "I definitely need new friends as well.

At the dining hall, he wasted his time staring at a particularly beautiful girl. Ophelia Greene, a daughter of Demeter, was speaking with a boy from the Apollo Cabin. Noah wasn't sure what their relationship was or why they spoke to each other. In fact, he had nothing against Thanos -- he was neither friends nor enemies with the boy, simply odd acquaintances on occasion. And yet he felt an extreme jealousy when the other boy spoke to Ophelia, who probably had no idea that Noah existed. But her blue-green eyes met his gaze, and he swore that his heart stopped. She waved to him, and he simply blinked in astonishment. He didn't have any time to react before she looked away and continued her conversation with Thanos.
If only that was Noah...

"C'mon, Lover Boy! Time for the campfire," one of his cabinmates announced and slapped him on the back, snapping him to attention. Noah sheepishly ripped his gaze from Ophelia and rolled his eyes. "Okay, okay, I'm coming!" he begrudgingly agreed and followed the Aphrodite Cabin.

The campfire was relatively normal and a little boring. That is, until Apollo showed up...

Her eyes wandered from table to table, listlessly picking at her food with a fork. She hadn't met many of the kids yet, but she knew them by name at least. Some of them glanced at her, then turning to their friends to whisper and point at her. Thea glowered at them and at anyone else who looked.
That included Thanos, the son of Apollo.

The campfire was the same. Amalthea sat alone, her arms crossed over her black long-sleeved turtleneck sweater and her black Converse scuffing the ground. "I wish I could leave," she murmured to herself, wishing she could return to the Poseidon Cabin to open up her sketchbook to draw.

However, she looked up in shock and confusion at the sight of Apollo's appearance...

ᴀᴘᴏʟʟᴏ
He appeared before the children of the gods -- the demigods. The god of the sun stood tall and proud before them. The fire burned brightly behind him, casting shadows across his muscular body, which added an iridescent appearance to his bronzed skin. His eyes were golden, despite usually being blue, and his irises seemed to peer at each one of the kids individually. He raised his hands into the air, his hands conjuring a light between his palms, and he brought it down to his chest. His face was illuminated, his wavy blonde hair glowing like sunlight itself.

When he opened his mouth, his voice boomed across the clearing, yet his tone was melodic and regal.

❝ Beauty, ocean, nature and I
Will travel to the Oracle's prison
To free her from the spider's cry

But be warned, young demigods
This quest must be complete
By sundown in one week
Or the dark's havoc will wreak ❞

On the last verse, he extinguished the light between his palms. His face was cast in shadows, and his expression was almost menacing with the amount of intimidation in his gaze. He swept his golden gaze over the children again, until they met the boy that he had been searching for the entire time.

"Thanos, my son. You will go on this quest -- along with the child of beauty, the child of the ocean, and the newest child of nature."

He gazed at the other children as he named them in respective order. Noah, the child of beauty. Amalthea, the child of the ocean. And Ophelia, the newest child of nature. Only he and the gods knew what fate had in store for them. But it was up to them to retrieve the Oracle from her doom.

As suddenly as he had appeared, he disappeared with a flourish of bright light.

”What, me..?” Ophelias face lit up, but she looked confused. Apollo disappeared, quick as a flash, and Ophelia had no words left in her mouth. ”Uh.. Thanos, maybe we should go speak to the people on the quest?” Her friend nodded, and they walked over to where Amalthea and Noah were sitting. Thank gods they weren’t extremely far away from eachother. ”Hi,” Ophelia waved at the two. ”Uh, I guess we’re going on a quest together...”

Ophelia wasn’t sure if her fellow campmates would laugh at her sarcastically or something different.
She remembered the way Amalthea had glowered at Thanos, which made her feel overprotective for her friend, but she had to make some new friends, so she just smiled at the girl, as well as Noah.

He also secretly liked Amalthea, which he hadn’t even told Ophelia, and.. she hated him. Good going, Thanos, he thought. ”What? Oh, yeah. Yay, fun.” he said sarcastically, then changed his tone. ”Sorry, I was just thinking of how big of a loser I am.”

He mostly just said that so Amalthea would agree, but he also believed it. He didn’t deserve to go on the quest. He tried making conversation with Noah. ”Hey, how are you? You’re from the Aphrodite Cabin, right?”

Oh, wow. That was a question with an obvious answer!
He really was a loser. But he was determined to prove himself as a better person.
Maybe even Amalthea would like him for that. Probably not. But a guy can dream.

He was still in a state of shock at Apollo's words, and he glanced around at the other kids that the god mentioned. The closest one was the ocean girl, with dark brown hair and even darker clothing. Wow, fashion crisis, Noah thought to himself and tried not to cringe. Instead, he forced a smile onto his face (which wasn't that hard) and stood to greet the other two that were approaching. Which was... oh my gods, it was Ophelia. Standing in front of him. Talking to him. Smiling at him!! Noah swore his heart was swelling up three times as big inside his chest. "Oh, hi! This sure is exciting, isn't it? Won't it be great to bond together and save the day? Such a wonderful experience," he rambled enthusiastically.

Noah barely registered that the other boy was speaking to him. "Yeah, of course! I'm so sorry, that was really rude of me. I'm Noah Tate, from the Aphrodite Cabin. And you must be... Thanos, right?" he asked, pretending as if he didn't already know. As if his cabin wasn't a regular gossip mill. As if he didn't know already everything about Ophelia (not really, although he liked to think so).

She watched in dazed confusion as Apollo disappeared, then the other kids swarmed around her. Immediately, she was uncomfortable and claustrophobic. Not to mention that Thanos was being a complete idiot. Thea scoffed at his words. Him? A loser? He has everything in the world! He has friends. He has talents. He got chosen by his father for this quest, for gods' sake, she thought bitterly and continued to glower at him.

Luckily, Thanos turned to talk to the other boy, Noah. She didn't want to stick around for light conversation with Ophelia, so she turned on her heel and left. Soon enough, she came to the beach and crouched. Closing her eyes, Thea sighed softly and whispered to the water. "If anyone is out there... I need your help." She waited a few moments. The waves parted, and two creatures approached in the shallows. She gasped in amazement at the sight before her -- two beautiful and colorful hippocampi with iridescent whorls of the rainbow on their scales, gleaming under the moonlight.

Thea turned to face the group, then frowned. How was she going to get along with the others on this quest? She decided to start simple, with her own peace treaty. "Hey, so... um, I think I found a way for us to get to Greece," she said awkwardly and simply, offering no further explanation.
