maggie has come to mrs. carrington from oregon. she's twelve
and the whole idea of a witch school seems intimidating, but
she's excited anyway. she learned she was a witch when she
was given a broom at eight years old, but just like most kids in
the school she doesn't know any magic besides basic broom
controls (v. easy. like driving a car at legoland.) she always has
lavender color hair and nails and has a sweet spot for good
smelling spells. don't offer her one 'cause she'll probably end
up drinking it
loves shopping when the school goes on a field trip to the
market, loves water spells and water dragons and swimming.

iris is the type of witch to take a secret
to her grave. she keeps a few things hidden
herself,but is notoriously known for being
mysterious.

she pulled herself up onto her broomstick, as it hovered by the ground, it almost seemed to have a mind of it's own as it gathered itself, it's tuft swaying lightly in the wind. today was the day she would be getting a familiar, not to mention, sorted into a dorm where she'd be staying, for what, a year? it all seemed crazy. she pulled a small satchel of brambletuffs from her pocket and popped one into her mouth. the dry herbs went like lumps down her throat, but surely was a good relief for the anxiousness built up from the stress of being sorted into a dorm, adjusted her necklace (a pentacle of silver, on a leather rope) and tapped the broomstick,
sending it flying. at about fifty feet, she could see the castle, and other apprentices flying, and the fear dissipated, and replaced with excitement.

evaline stared below at her own personal birds-eye view of the world below. her broomstick, made of ash wood waved around in the air as the witch eyed the other attendants of the school. many had very nice broomsticks and accessories- mental note- get an upgrade on this thing. evaline thought. as she approached the gray castle, a thick fog filled the air, leaving it hard to spot anything but the large place she would be staying. a horrifying thought had filled her mind- there were two witches filling a dorm room, weren't there? that meant she would be sharing her room with another person. evaline wasn't the greatest with people- it wasn't that she didn't like to socialize, she actually loved to, it's one of her favorite things to do- but the thought of a person that could possibly so rude to her and she couldn't change a thing. there was a 50/50 chance about getting a good dorm-mate and in that moment, it transitioned to a 80/50. she was almost sure she would get a bad witch to live with. she gripped on the broom, signaling it to slow down as she reached the ground.

she dropped herself to the ground, sniffing the crisp air of celebration. she sat down next to the rows of girls her age that sat on the stone bleachers, then put her broom next to her side. "brooms on the ground, please!!" a woman croaked. she seemed, practically older than time, it was alarming. maggie proceeded to drop her broom to the ground. to the right of her, she was at the end of the row, where one would begin and end. on the left, soon-to-be witches came for the empty spots on their sticks. a deafening sound of a trumpet, amplified using a spell, sung a salute, and a witch in a traditional black satin robewear with purple cuffs and a pentacle on her hat, then on her chest an emblem of the school. her hat was pulled over her head so her eyes,
just enough so you are unable to see her. "Ahem," she cleared her throat, also amplified using a spell. maybe i'll learn that spell sometime, maggie thought to herself, with a smile plastered on her face subconsciously. "My name, is Mrs. Carrington, and i'd like to welcome you to my school." she began to speech, some apprentices late and scurrying to their seats.
