Colin wanted her so badly. He wanted things to be okay but he was a monster. Her reaction to what he did was all he needed. "It is not fair but I have to protect you and Isabella and I can't think of a better way to do that." He said still not letting her close. He did not want to hurt her. He was terrified and he did not like any of this.

She finally stood still and looked at him. Her hands fumbled with each other out of a nervous habit and she Tu led hair behind her ear. "Colin... You can't protect us this way. What am I to do? I can't... Colin I can't do this alone. You are my husband... My lover and my king. You can't just leave because of something silly..." she said and her heart broke a little.

Colin looked at her. "I don't want to hurt you. I love you so much, I could not live with myself if I hurt you." He said to her and sat down and put his head on his knees. He was so hurt by everything that had happened. Luke had got exactly what he had always wanted. To break him.
