"Probably the couch..." said Mary quietly, "I don't think I can walk upstairs." She sat on the second step as she felt a little tired. "My room is the first on the right." she said quietly, "I've got three cribs in there. I don't mind if you stay in there, I just thought you'd like your own space."

He watched her while frowning a little
"I can.. carry you up to your room.." he suggested
"I vont let you be uncomfortable.. please."
He let a small smile pass while raising an eyebrow

"Only if you promise not to hurt yourself." said Mary, poking his nose. She would rather crawl up the stairs if it meant Kristian wouldn't strain himself. Alessa wandered out of her room and entered the kitchen. She checked every cabinet to make sure there was food there.

He gave a chuckle and looked down while smiling
"I vont hurt myself.." he said gently and nodded
"I promise.."
And watched Alessa before moving back a little
"Just let me know ven you vant to go up. I'll take you up."
And sleep on the couch
Thinking of places to try and find pillows and blankets for himself

"Now would be nice, if you don't mind?" asked Mary, "I'm afraid I'm bushed from today..." Mary just wanted to curl up in her cozy bed and sleep. Alessa looked over to Kristian and Mary. She'd offer to help, but she couldn't lift anything that weighed more than her current weight; she was very underweight, as she was only about 35 pounds.

He nodded and moved to sweep her up and bridal style carry her gently to her room
"I vill be in top shape after zis vorkout!" He chuckled while making his way up the stairs with her
"Haha! I vill be strong enough to carry you visout fault!"
He chuckled and glanced to her with a smile before biting his lip to keep himself from coughing anymore
"First on ze right.." he grumbled while getting there

Mary felt content as he carried her upstairs. She rested her head on his chest; she was also listening to his heart and lungs. She frowned some as he tried not to cough. "I can make it from here." she insisted, "I'm serious, I don't want you to overdo it. It's no good having the both of us hurt and unable to care for Alessa." Mary always tried to ignore her own bad feelings and pain in order to care for others; she had been like that even as a young girl.

He was silent while biting his lip
"You'll be fine.. I promise.. I'll be fine as vell."
And sighed while moving to her door, and shifted to open it before coming to her bed and laying her gently down
Now because of the cancer his life would be much different
"Zere you are my lady.." he sighed and took a moment
"Iz zere anyzing else you need?"
And tilted his head while watching her

Mary looked to Kristian, her eyes full of worry. Her defensive wall was starting to come down. "I want you to tell me the truth." she said quietly, trying not to tear up, "Will this illness kill you? I'm frightened that you'll just... pass away without warning." Mary reached for his paw and held it.

He watched her before frowning and moving to sit next to her, holding her paw close
"I dont know yet.. its slightly too early to tell.. but I zink its late stage two.."
He shrugged and looked down a little
"Ze man whom I had healed vas very sick.. I'm surprised I am not as bad."
He sighed and bit his lip
The thought of 'death' never really came to his mind and he shrugged
"I could alvays go into surgery.. I promise.. I vill not leave you.."
And watched her with kind, true eyes before offering a smile
