As darkness engulfs the lake and streams, there will be four that must search for the fading moon

A mysterious illness is taking over LakeClan and StreamClan. Cats are dropping like flies, trapped in a state of eternal sleep. No herbs can help them, though the medicine cats have been working tirelessly to try.
Just when all hope seems lost, the leaders, Turtlestar of LakeClan and Cloverstar of StreamClan, recieved strange dreams from the stars. The words echoed in their heads. There will be four that must search for the fading moon.

Strange omens, too, have the medicine cats been receiving. Ivy vines and dead swifts, pointing towards the land beyond the borders. Cherry herrings wash up on the lake, flipping to point in the same direction with their last, dying gasps...

What can this mean? Who are the cats that will journey for this mysterious fading moon? Will they make it in time to save their homes...?

And another strange omen may spell drama for the clans...A cherry herring, with its heart cut out...

He'd asked the other medicine cat, Snowfoot, to meet him here. Near yet another cherry herring that can washed itself up on the shore, pointing in that same direction...
It was an omen, surely, but for what? What could this mean...?

Aspenheart turned, tilting his head in the direction of the herring. "Another one." He mewed. "That's the sixth one this moon...I know it means something, but..."
One ear flicked back. "My mentor was taken by the sickness. I can't figure it out.."

Snowfoot headed over slowly"My apprentice was taken this morning."she mewed softly.
