Sure, night is fine with me. I kinda want to start a recovery arc for Don, so maybe something could attack them, or maybe a bird of prey could try to attack Copernicus?

Yeah, that's work! And Don would stop them, but just put it all off as he didn't want to get lost. Shall we start then?

Katelyn looked up to the darkening sky. It was probably best that they stop to get some rest now, "Connor," she sounded, "We should stop now."

Connor turned his head as he heard Katelyn's voice. He had been trying to keep an eye on Copernicus for so long that it actually felt somewhat strange to look in a different direction. He nodded, saying, "Alright." before turning back to the pigeon, "Alright, Copernicus! It's time for a break!" he shouted to it.

Copernicus recognized the sentence and turned around, flying back towards Connor. He was beating his wings harder now, tired by a days flight.

Lena set her bag down tiredly. She sighed and looked at Copernicus fly back, then sighed and closed her eyes. She was exhausted.

Connor watched as Copernicus flew back, glad that he had brought the small perch he and Lena had made for him. He didn't want to have him try sleeping on his head while he tried sleeping. A small smile came to his face, however that smile was gone as soon as he heard a screech. A large hawk swooped towards Copernicus, it's talons ready to grasp the tired bird. "Watch out!" Connor shouted, running closer to them. But they were too high for him to reach.

Katelyn had begun unpacking her things for the night when she heard a commotion. She looked over to see the pigeon being chased by a hawk. Her eyes grew wide in fear, both for the sake of the mission, and the life of the bird.

Don leaned up against a tree, glad they were finally taking a break. He was not used to walking this far, especially not while carrying supplies. He looked into the sky as Connor's pigeon flew back, but reflex pushed him forward as the figure of a hawk appeared close to it.

Lena opened her eyes at Connors shout, and they widened in surprise, and fear. What could they do? She looked around fearfully. If Copernicus died...

Benjamins fists tightened when the hawk arrived and started chasing the pigeon. He couldn't do anything, and was angry with himself. They needed the little bird!

(who should ask Don to hide Copernicus and make another bird appear?)
