The Wolf Arc

"I am glad..." Zane murmured as he slowly fell asleep snuggled close in Ash's arms, even if this was a terrible idea.

Ash held him close to him, falling asleep.

Kodi opened their door sometime later. He released a small gasp at the sight but closed the door behind him quickly, locking it. "Zane!" He spoke gently.

Zane woke with a start, he blinked, disoriented, but then he saw Kodi and he hurriedly got up, "Alpha!" he said, startled.

Kodi crossed his arms and looked at him. "Zane, what are you doing?" He asked him, gentle now. Ash continued to snooze softly.

Zane was surprised Ash was still asleep, he looked at Kodi, "I don't know, my heart cares for him." he said softly.

Kodi gave a small smile and a chuckle. "But he is a vampire. He has caused our packs so much pain..." He commented, walking over to the bed and looking at the sleeping vampire. "He looks less evil when he is asleep..." He commented.

"I know... but I told you, my heart is foolish and I still love him, and he hasn't hurt anyone lately, and he brought all that medicine." he said as he looked at Ash as he slept as well, "I don't think he's evil exactly..."

[cswolf.]

"He brought the medicine?" Kodi asked him. "If he is not evil, then what is he?" He asked Zane. "But I can understand a foolish heart. After Garrow had killed many of my pack mates when he took over my pack, my parents told me I was foolish and had a foolish heart when I fell in love with him and became his alpha female..." Kodi explained to him with a smile. "But I still love him." He giggled.

'Yes, he did." he said, "And I don't know, misguided." he said as he watched the other wolf, "And female?" he asked as he looked over at Kodi curiously.

"Yes, female." Kodi spoke. "My pack still sees it as traditional wolf culture. One alpha male and one alpha female. In the case of two males, the smaller more submissive wolf becomes the alpha female and takes on her duties." Kodi explained to him as he sat beside Zane. Ash awoke and looked at them both with fright, Kodi was sitting close to his exit.
