Moonsong watched as a memory of a smaller her came flooding back. Crying over what she had allowed her mind to do. She shook her head trying to clear the memory, but it wouldn't shift. She finally just gave in and let her own hot tears fall. "You can tell me anything. It's hard to believe, but you can trust me."

"really?" Moonpaw asked slowly, trying not to let the tears affect her voice. "Even with something crazy?"

Moonsong nodded, "No matter how crazy. I almost always have the answer." she shifted uncomfortably, "I've been told I'm very smart... I suppose it's true." she watched Moonpaw, trying to not see herself in the small she-cat.

Moonpaw sighed, shaking slowly as she blinked away the last of her tears. It took her a few moments before she looked up, and faced Moonsong. "I... I can kinda see the past. It's just like... A brief image. That's why I was up here. I wanted to see what it was like to become leader, of a Clan." She started shaking uncontrollably. "But... Sometimes, the memory can be painful. Like one time, I was at the edge of the gorge near our territory, and I saw a cat dangling. There was no one around before they fell to their doom."

Moonsong nodded slowly, "Then what did you feel up here? Being in my place I mean. The memory wasn't that great I assume. You picked the wrong High-Rock for a leader." she whispered, closing her eyes as she tried to relax, "So you can see the past? I've never met a cat who could do that."

Moonpaw shrugged. "I felt... Normal. Like I was destined to be a leader. But I know it's impossible... Not for someone like me." She sighed "But I don't think I chose the right place. I mean... For some reason..." Her gaze shifted to Moonsong's. "I feel like I was meant to meet you. But I think it was an accident for us to actually... Talk and be friends."

Moonsong nodded, "You never know. Being a leader is a thing that can happen to any cat. Me, as a young cat, never dreamed I'd be a leader. But look at me now. I'm not exactly a leader of a Clan I want, but I have power." she paused, thinking for a moment, "Same. I felt we did have a connection. You look just like me... but I never imagined us... friends."

Moonpaw nodded slowly. "Yeah... If Flashstar finds out about this..." Her eyes blazed. "You know, I don't care if Flashstar finds out. I don't care if ANYONE finds out. Moonsong... Your like a second mother. I trust you." She sighed, looking around

Moonsong smiled, licking Moonpaw's ear, "I trust you to. Now... you should be getting back to your camp. The sun is rising." she turned her gaze to the bright sun as it rose above the ground, shining brightly, making Moonsong's lavender eyes turned a mystic blue.

Solarpaw stretched, opening his eyes. He shook his head, trying to clear it. For some reason he couldn't see anything.

Moonpaw sighed, looking around the camp. "Can I stay here for a day? I'm sure no one'll notice I'm gone."

Starpaw stretched, looking out of the den, and then looked next to her. "Where's Moonpaw?" she asked aloud to no one. "Well... Maybe she'll show up today."

Galaxypaw grumbled. "Could you please shut up?" he snapped.
