nicola gently hugged Peter, mumbling a thanks. She teased as Steve picked the notebook. "Awe come on. Didn't take you for a sap, Rogers."

"the notebook?" wanda wrinkled her nose. "okay, we're never letting steve pick again." everyone
laughed a little, including peter. "i mean.. i've never seen it before." he gave a little shrug.

"wanda, we said that last time," nicola laughed before steve defended himself. "its a good movie, ok??"

"i mean, i get it: ryan gosling is fine, but.." natasha furrowed her brow slightly. tony
butted in to defend steve. "you couldn't possibly understand the genius of this movie."
peter laughed a little. so iron man and captain america agreed on one thing: good r
omance movies.

nicola teased, "always knew you and steve were actually in a relationship, dad." the others laughed, causing tony to flush. "nic, if you don't wanna be grounded i swear -" nicola only laughed harder. "do what? take away my keys?" she wiggled her eyebrows, "always knew the fight between you and cap was a love dispute. woulda paid to see that."

peter laughed but then quickly shut up with an innocent expression. he would've joined in
on the teasing but tony was his mentor and could take away his spiderman suit at any tim
e if he wanted to, so he cleared his throat and pretended to be deaf for a moment.

"screw this crap," nicola said with a laugh as she got up, ejected the notebook and replaced it with the wolf of Wall Street. "There, much better," Clint and Natasha commented at the same time.

"wolf of wall street! i love this movie." peter grinned and leaned forward on the sofa. the first
time he'd watched it, he'd been fifteen. it was at a friend's house. he had to watch it there an
d then keep it a secret from aunt may, who would have freaked out if she knew. but she found
out eventually. the two could laugh about it now, though.
