peter chuckled, looking at nicola as she nudged him. she was letting herself loose a little
bit. he liked the more carefree her. "i like churros," he commented. "i have yet to try bro
okies, though."

"you'll say goodbye to churros after you have these." nicola grinned, handing him one after taking them out of the pan. "they're pretty amazing with milk too."

peter took one, examining it then popping it in his mouth for a taste. for a moment, there was
no reaction, like he was a broken machine taking a moment to process. then it him him and hi
s eyes brightened. he looked at nicola, nodding, only speaking when he'd swallowed. "better th

nicola grinned and shouted to the living room. "See Clint?? My desserts are better than yours!" After letting them cool off, she called out, "Desserts ready!"

peter blinked a few times and moved out of the way as everyone flooded into the
kitchen to get brookies. they must have been a favorite. peter managed to snatch
a couple more and make off with them into the lounge room.

nicola didn't get any, a common thing. She walked into the lounge after everyone else empty handed as she placed herself on the couch. "Who's turn is it to pick a movie?"

peter had two left when nicola came in, empty-handed. he frowned and made his way over
to her, looking at her with bright eyes. "i've got two," he offered, though he wasn't taking n
o for an answer. she was going to get at least one of them, if not both.

nicola smiled and took one, smiling shyly at his generosity. "It's normal for this to happen, me not getting any."
