peter approached the counter with a smile, glancing around and taking in his surroundings.
"this place is so nice." he commented, though it was mostly more of a mumble to himself w
ith no intentions of anyone else hearing it.

nicola handed peter a plate. "eat up." she stated simply before passing out plates for everyone. hawkeye called from the seating area, "i call making dessert!" tony laughed, "too late. nics claimed it as vision started dinner." nicola puffed her chest out proudly. tony turned to peter. "you'll learn to love the food, nicola is a beast at desserts."

peter took the plate with a little smile and a quiet "thank you." he looked at tony when
he spoke to him and laughed a little, looking down at his plate's contents. "i don't doubt
she is. but is vision a beast at dinner?" he queried, mostly to himself and grabbed a fork
so he could dig in and answer the question for himself.

nicola smiled as she dug unashamed, humming happily.

it was actually really good. peter was pleasantly surprised. he heard someone say something
about how vision had improved and nodded in agreement. he wasn't sure what he was eating,
must have been something foreign, but it was good.

after everyone had eaten dinner, nicola shooed vision out of her way before getting ingredients for her famous brownie cookies, or brookies. She started right away, humming right along with her cooking.

peter stood behind the counter and observed nicola, propping his chin on his hand. "what're
you making?" he queried, arching an eyebrow.

"they're called brookies. Brownie cookie. Household staple, really. There's not a night where someone doesn't ask for them." Nicola laughed a bit as she poured the batter into a pan, clicking on the oven.

"brookies? that's catchy." peter laughed a little, leaning forward with attentive eyes and
glancing to the side when steve rogers walked in to wash off his plate. "nic's brookies ar
e better than clint's desserts."

"thanks steve." nicola laughed as she kissed steve's cheek. clint complained from the living room. "hey my churros aren't that bad!" "code word; not that bad." nicola laughed and nudged peter, much more carefree than she was earlier.
