Ferondir glanced around, hearing echoing voices that seemingly came from nowhere.
He felt extremely uncomfortable about the house that was so like his own, and yet somehow different.
This, and the fact that he had to get to the fortress in the center sent him hurling as fast as his legs could carry him, across the only bridge available to him. On it, most of the others were congregated. The zora was just saying, "...nothing better too do."
It was a start, at least, to victory against the ghost.
He was a few feet away, and it didn't appear as though they had seen him.
Why was he hesitating? Didn't he trust them?
As he was deliberating, his hook brushed his cloak.
His hook. He remembered, again, the day he had lost his hand. There were people he didn't trust, but none in this... mindscape.
He strode up to them. Someone was missing.
"Where's Jack, and the others?" Young Della must be around here somewhere.
He focussed on the zora. "Wait... who are you?" This didn't quite look like the zora he'd seen before.

The fog started to lift, mostly.
Now, Zeph could see what lies ahead.
A fortress?
Except- that wasn't a fortress.
It was just like the miniature castle they had seen in the center of there islands, except bigger.
It was doing the same thing as the other castle too.
It was... flickering?
Upon further observation- it was a fortress, however, it was shifting states.
One second it was a fortress- the next it was a deep foggy forest- the next it was a mansion.
Wait.
A Mansion!
Zeph ran up as close as he could to the shifting building at the end of the bridge.
Guys! Over here! He shouted, turning to face his friends. He could see nothing but silhouettes.
It appears the fog has returned.
He turned to face the mansion, swinging the door open and hopping in without a second thought.
The fog surged swiftly, encasing him.
...
guys. over here. Said a bored, dull, voice.
What! No! Not you!
...
what. no. not you. Mocked the bored voice.
This was not what Zeph expected see.
He turned all the way around- examining the very weird room he was currently in.
It was a...a... Room of mirrors?
It was like one you'd see in a carnival funhouse.
There were blindingly bright rainbow colored lights, and the walls where all made of mirrors- all laid out in an elaborate maze.
Hehe! Zeph heard behind him- he spun around to where it came from.
He could see a reflection of something dash quickly down a mirrored corridor- out of sight.
He followed down the corridor, only bashing into a few glass walls.
...
He found himself in a geometrically perfectly circular glass room.
He looked around- there were 7 of his reflections.
He looked at his own reflection.
Wow- being in my own mind really did a toll on my look.
His cloak appeared to be darkened with ash, and strands of string were snapped and hanging limply.
His hair was damp, and dirty.
His boots were caked with mud.
He looked up to his face.
Ugh.
He had scratches all over his face.
His eyes looked manic, and crazed. But also sleep deprived.
It felt like its been so long since they got off of the wretched ship.
How could Zeph let this happen?
What even was the point of fighting this ghost?!
Honestly Zeph just wanted to be home- sitting by his favorite lake, perched in or against a tree- reading one of his spell tomes as the twilight sun cast a gloom across his entire village.
He felt safe there- secure.
Nothing like he did on this adventure.
Yeah, it was exciting- but Zeph wasnt sure he was just ready for this? It was all just so... hectic.
Zeph shook his head and blinked a few times.
He looked down to pat the dirt off of his shirt.
Wait- what...?
Zeph said audibly.
He looked back up at his reflection- then back down.
T-Thats not right?!
His reflections shirt was red- his was blue.
wait what. thats not right. His reflection said.
His shadow.
He looked down quickly, his shadow was gone.
Almost immediately, all 8 reflections began vibrating and shimmering.
They changed.
Zeph now spun around- looking at all the mirrors.
They were no longer his reflections.
Inside each mirror was his friends reflections

Ferondir
Guzore
Della
sapphire
amethyst
Drimaethor
and Jack

W-what?!
W-what. repeated the bored voice.

Zeph heard a loud cracking noise.
CRACK!!!!
A small fracture formed at the very center of each mirror- right over his friends hearts.
With a very loud cracking noise, the lights in the mirror room began to flicker- and each crack began to expand, slithering along the same path of the mirror, webbing out and expanding, until the cracks reached the edge of each mirror.
He saw the image of his friends ripple and change into the shadow
CRACK!!!!
The glass bursted outwards, making glass shrapnel fly across the rooms in all directions, accompanied by the loud screeching of glass impacts.
AAAGH!aaagh
The glass was flying all around the room, and Zeph could see nothing but his own reflection inside broken fragments that were piercing his skin, forcing blood to splatter across the room.
It hurt so badly, Zeph would of curled into a ball on the ground if he could of, but the force of the glass was seizing him up, as it sliced his skin.
He opened his mouth to breath.
He felt himself inhale shards of glass- that were now ripping apart his throat.
STOP!!!!
Zeph yelled as loud as he could bare.
...
Immediately the noise stopped, and zeph felt the glass around him vanish.
He fell to the ground, on his knees.
He didn't want to open his eyes... He didn't want to see the pool of blood that would be left over.
He opened them anyways.
W-What? He questioned.
There was no blood.
He examined his hands- and under his sleeves.
There were no cuts or scars or anythings.
B-but... It felt s-so real... He murmured.
He stood up and looked around.
He was somewhere very dark.
...
HAHA! WELCOME! Said the loud grumbling voice of Gregal.
...
Immediately torches caught fire, and the lights turned on.
Hey! Zeph could see his friends! Everyone was here! Except... he couldn't seem to spot Della...
Err. Hey, guys? Zeph said- still unsure if they were real.
But it seemed everyone was here, from where ever they were.

Zeph looked around to see where the group was.
This was weird.
They were back in Gregals mansion- But it wasn't gregals mansion.
Everything was new... and shiny.
It's so very regal... Zeph thought to himself.
This must of been how it used to be. Or atleast- how Gregal remembered it.
He looked up, and saw a beam of night time light streaming in from a mosaic looking window.
The one in the real mansion was shattered.

Guzore observed the stained glass window above Gregal. Where there once was a fracture, a second triangle remained. It looked vaguely familiar.
Aha! I know where I've seen this before! Back when I was 10 I had the 120 AS edition of the Hyrule History book! It had a bright green cover with a silver embroidery...
As Guzore began describing the book he had once owned and remembered it, it started to materialize in front of him with each detail he described being added onto it. Guzore grabbed the book out of thin air without paying much heed to the fact that it appeared out of nowhere and began flipping pages.
Let's see... second Bordix invasion... the imprisoning war... Aha! The 10th Royal Emblem. The second triangle below the royal bloodline emblem must represent Gregal's dead brother, Gordon! I had always wondered why the book had two of them before now, and in the end I assumed it was just to maintain symmetry. After all...
As Guzore continued to ramble on in his nerdy analysis of the Royal Family, Gregal turned to Zephyrus.
Well, well, well, Zephyrus... It appears you've managed to cram all of our souls into your puny little mind, haven't you? I must say, I'm impressed. I wouldn't have expected a mere commoner like you to be able to pull such an advanced spell off. Having 7 other souls in your mind can't be easy though... It must be driving you mad... having all this energy... all these souls using your mind as a bridge.
...Oh, but after Valgar was killed in 100 AS, the Bordix Kingdom withdrew their troops beyond the Lanayaru desert to avoid...
I know you feel it too, Zeph... Admit it, you can't stand to wander around in your own mind any longer, because nothing terrifies you more than yourself. And your friends are here too... enduring the pain that you were carrying. Isn't it awful to see them suffering like this?
...And THEN Leah II was named after one of the three children of the first king because she died in the month before her birth, but the original Leah was the only child of the three who didn't have any kids...
Give it up Zeph... You don't want to deal with this anymore... We've both had rough pasts, but if you let me take the wheel here, I can help you...
OH! The Daros Village we know now was actually rebuilt from the destroyed Daros Village that was founded in 66 AS, but the rebuilt one, it was built in 84 AS, which was 4 years after...
Uh-I can... I can help you become...
...King John, being the last blonde King of Hyrule, had one castle tower painted golden in honor of his natural hair color that he inherited from...
IN THE NAME OF DIN, WILL YOU SHUT UP!?
Gregal held a ball of fire in one hand, ready to throw it at Guzore. Guzore stopped in his tracks and closed the book.
I... you... YOU will be the one that I kill first!!
Gregal fired his fireball at Guzore at lightning speed, but Guzore had only a book to protect himself with. "Why couldn't it be a shield?" he thought. He crouched down and flinched, awaiting the impact, and heard the flame hit.

He felt nothing though. He opened his eyes, and to his bewilderment, a shield had appeared on his arm. This must be because he was in Zephyrus' mind! But why would he be able to create a shield by thinking about it? Maybe his thoughts were connected to Zeph's somehow?
Guzore looked around at everyone else. Zeph looked very disturbed, and the rest looked equally disturbed. It was like they were all connected... he could feel it too, now that he wasn't obsessing over his book. They were all one in Zephyrus' mind. As soon as Guzore had realized it, he could feel that the other must too.
A shield? You think that will save you from ME!? That was only a warning shot.. I'll... I'll DESTROY you!!
Guzore stood up and tried to focus. He put all of his willpower into imagining Gregal being defeated. A yellow energy began radiating around him, and soon around everyone else too. The mansion began rumbling, and parts of it began to vaporize away.
What? What's hAppenIIING here!?
The mansion was being torn apart now, and everyone could feel Gregal's presence becoming weaker by the second.
No! This can't be how I die! Why can't I control his mind anymore!?
Everybody's bodies faded as the yellow energy that was their souls left the mental reconstruction of their bodies and rose into the sky. Gregal saw his body being swallowed up by a purple vortex below him. All of the others had left and their presence was nowhere to be felt. Wait... Gregal could feel one last soul nearby... It wasn't one he felt a minute ago though, but it felt vaguely familiar. The vortex consumed him and he knew that his existence in between life and death was no more. He saw his own black sun ahead of him, and felt the other soul closer to him than ever before. He knew what it was now.

Gordon...

Zephyrus' body began to vibrate, until 8 yellow orbs of energy violently shot out of his chest. The souls bounced around the foyer of the mansion, trying to find their bodies. One by one, each yellow orb of energy shot into a body and found a host. Everybody in the room began to slowly wake up. After an experience like that, it would be strange to adjust to inhabiting a physical body again. What made it more strange, however, was that the souls were not in the right bodies...

(Don't worry, this will be temporary. It's just a little fun to spice things up in the RPG! For simplicity, I switched the bodies of everyone rather than completely mixing them up. Below is a list of who was switched with who:)

Guzore <---> Jack
Zephyrus <---> Ferondir
Sapphire <---> Della
Amethyst <---> Drimaethor (I recently realized it's spelled with an r now.)

Sapphire felt... weird. She felt floppy, sticky and way too warm, and she had something covering her legs, chest and feet. Also, her neck tickled. She felt for what was tickling her, and realized that it was hair. Immediately after, she realized that the necklace that her mother gave her was missing. Her eyes flew open, but something wasn't right. Everything was gray. She looked down at herself and realized that she was a human, that she was Della. Sapphire screamed, and looked around. She saw everyone waking up, and saw herself. "My necklace!" She exclaimed loudly, and ran over to her body. She grabbed the necklace, and slipped over her body's head (With difficulty) and put it on herself. She held onto her necklace, feeling more secure with it with her.

Ferondir gasped.
He was back, the cold stone beneath him was not an invention of someone's mind, it was real blessed stone.
He sat up and rubbed his face with his hands.
Wait.
Hands...
Two of them.
"What?!?"
He looked at them in astonishment. Had the defeat of Gregal somehow healed his arm?
He looked around and saw Jack, Della, Guzore, Ferondir, Sapphire, and... wait.
FERONDIR?!?!
"What is going on?"
He glanced at his clothing. He must be inside Zephyrus's body.
He stood shakily. He wasn't used to this body, everything was the wrong shape. The legs were too short, the arms too long.
He suddenly felt a deep throbbing pain in his arm, and pulled down his... Zephyrus's sleeve. A burn wound. Fresh too.
"Ow."
He looked around, if he was in Zeph's body... where was Zeph?
"Zephyrus!"
He stumbled and fell. His brain was hurting, and the pain was growing steadily more intense. It spread to the tips of his fingers, and to his toes.
It was unbearable.
He knew what it was though.
Every body, was a vehicle tuned to a specific soul. He wouldn't be able to stay inside Zeph's for long, especially after Zeph had channeled so much magic. He had to get out, before he burned up the body. Zeph was going to need this body after all.
Hopeing he was choosing the right body, he pointed his hand at "Ferondir."
"Mutatio Cathedras!" he shouted.
He felt his mind go blank, as his soul and whoever inhabited his own body switched places.

Drimaethor's head was spinning. As he was stumbling around he placed his head on his head and noticed that his hand was different. In fact it looked just like a zora's. He looked down and after a second he realized he had switched bodies with Amethyst.
"First going back to the village I was born in and now I'm in the body of a zora" He said still trying to gain his balance.
Drimaethor looked around and noticed that everyone else was acting strange tol.
"um guys....Who is who right now?"

Ferondir's soul traveled towards Zephyrus' body, but bounced back before resting completely inside it. There was probably another spell that would have to switch everyone at once.
Guzore opened his eyes. Something was in the way of one of them. He put his hand on his face to move it, but his arm felt really weird, and there was something covering it.
Oh, brother... what happened?
Upon hearing that his voice was not his, he gasped in surprise.
Whoa... wha.. what's going on? Why do I feel so small and weak?
He realized that hair was covering one of his eyes upon feeling it with his hand, and his mouth was covered with a bandana. Was he... Jack?
Guzack attempted to stand up. It felt so weird having such long and skinny meat legs as opposed to his short and muscular rock legs before. His back felt really bare too without all of the rocks on it. And these clothes... How did humans walk around in all these uncomfortable rags all day? They were so itchy and hot.
Um, guys... Who is who right now? Drimaethor asked.
I think I'm Jack. I never knew humans were so... small. And all this skin feels really weird.

"well I'm amethyst clearly, who is Drimaethor er um me?" Drimaethor asked.
Looking at the zora arms he now had , Drimaethor felt odd. Which was odd considering he was raised by zoras.

Jack was so hard right now. He didn't remember having these rock-hard muscles before but he could get used to this. Jack stood up and then fell forward, accidentally rolling into the wall. Ow! That... didn't hurt.
"Heheheh, aw yeah." Jack rolled into another wall, causing a puff of dust to rise into the air. "Guys, what just happened and why am I suddenly so awesome? WOOOOH!" Jack rolled over to someone who looked REALLY familiar and picked him up. "Who are you and why are you me? Heeheeheehee... Phew, this body is awesome."
