Caitlin smiled, her face slightly red seeing him blushing,"I like it!"Caitlin smiled and got out of the chair, and walked towards him. She knelt by the bed, she looked at the puppy then at him. She smiled and put her one of her hands in the pocket of her sweatshirt.

Jordan watched as Kate bounced off the bed into Caitlin's lap. Jordan knelt beside her and, without noticing, took her free hand and held it in his.

Caitlin froze momentarily before she turned to face him. Her face was red. She dint know what to do, or what would happen next. She knelt there holding his hand.

JORDAN

Jordan went bright red, noticing what he had done. "I... uh.." he murmured, dumbfounded.

Caitlin looked at him then at their hands. She was still holding his hand ans wasn't sure if he had let go. Her face turned a brighter red. She wanted to say something but she couldn't. She wanted to do something but she was frozen. She now knew for a fact she liked him there was no doubt in her mind. She stayed there not knowing what to do. She tried to speak but couldn't. Her mouth opened but nothing came out. She didn't know if she should or even could tell him.

Jordan had no idea what to do. Then, he heard a voice coming from downstairs. "Anyone want lunch?" Jordan's dad called.

Caitlin blinked for the first time in what seemed forever. She looked away from their hands to the half open door."Uh," is all she could manage to say. She loosened her grip on his hand but not by much, she glanced back at him then the door.
"I, uh....Lunch.."Caitlin studdered. She remembered the Kate was on her lap and look down at her.

Jordan stood up and walked downstairs, stunned. He hoped his face wasn't red. He spotted his dad at the base of the stairs, where he had called them from. "Hey, dad." Jordan said, hoping his voice wasn't squeaky. "What's for lunch?" He walked down the stairs and saw that there was a large bowl of salad in the middle of the table. A plate was set out at each seat, along with a glass of water. There was bread, ham, cheese, peanut butter and jelly to make sandwiches. Jordan made himself a ham and cheese sandwich and sat down across from June, who was eating a PB&J.

CAiltin watched as Jordan walked out the room, by then the red had almost completely dissapered. She picked up Kate walked down stairs a minute after Jordan. She walked over to the table and saw a large salad bowl along with ingedients to make a pbj. She sat across from June, and set the puppy on the ground next to her who crawled under her seat. Caitlin thanked Jordan's dad for the lunch and put salad on her plate, along with a pbj.

JORDAN

Jordan ate slowly, thinking about what had happened in his room. He had grabbed her hand! What had he done? She would hate him now! He didn't have a chance! He took a large sip of water and a bite of his sandwich, hoping that all would be okay between them.

JUNE

June ate her sandwich quickly, and finished her water. After putting her dishes away, she picked up the puppy, who she had found out was named Kate, and began to play with her. June held out the rope and swished it away right before Kate snatched it in her teeth.
