Brendan smiled softly, nuzzling her in return to show his affection. "No need to thank me." He whispered, running his tongue over her muzzle. "Well, if you'll excuse us. Thank you ma'am." He turned to look at Ferra, nodding politely before turning and exiting the den.


Ferra nodded with a smile. "No problem. I know Chell will be the best jackal for the job."

Brendan sat down a little ways outside the den, smiling broadly at Chell. "That went great!" He said enthusiastically, leaning over to lick her cheek in affection. "I'm glad you joined." He murmured, brushing against her.

Brendan nodded in agreement, a wide grin still possessing his expression. "Me too." He murmured, licking her cheek. "Hey, I'm thirsty. Want to accompany me as I head to the oasis?"

Brendan's eyes widened in excitement. "You're on!" He crouched down, ready to sprint off and head towards the oasis. "You wanna do the countdown?" He asked, glancing over at the fae with an excited smile.

Brendan's eyes widened, and he chuckled. "Hey, you were supposed to 'count' down!" He protested with a laugh, taking off after her. The male attempted to catch up, his tail wagging fast as his paws pounded across the dusty earth.
