The obsidian coated she-wolf raced through the meadows, her tongue lolling out of her mouth as sun shined down on her. It was a very hot today for some reason, she disliked it. Ryan much preferred the colder weather as it was soothing and she could stay in her den to rest, but her den had been stolen by another lone wolf and she scowled every time at the memory. That male just rushing up to her, causing her to run off into the darkness of the night. They didn't even chase after her, they just let her go and took her home away. She had to be more careful, she couldn't let that happen again. Ryan came to a halt as she took a glimpse at her surroundings, she appeared to be in a field and the faint scent of deer lingered around her nostrils. Pressing her nose against the ground, she could tell that there was a deer herd here, they had moved earlier in the morning. It didn't seem like they were far and so she decided to search for them, she was famine and hadn't eaten the past week. After a brief silence, she headed into the correct direction, she was fresh on the trail. It had been nearly an hour since she trekked after the herd. Ryan was almost regretting following and the scent was getting even more faint. The she-wolf stopped and panted heavily. Nothing, nothing was here at all. Sighing, she trotted over to a tree, deciding to relax in the shade rather than to search more in the heat.
