Lightning grew up on one of the famous racing farms in the world, his bloodline where the best known but then on his 2 year old season he hurt his leg bad so they where gonna put him down but Sandy seeing the poor animal could not help but try to save it so she said she would take him and the owners gave him to her. Lightning had a long recovery but he came through. Sandy decided to use him for stud so Sandy bred him to Diamond, but then one day Lightning saw someone racing on one of the practice tracks and he broke out of his stall and ran to the track jumping the fence and started racing next to the other horse he was ahead by lengths. By now Sandy was at the rail of the track in surprise she stopped watching as with every stride Lightning got faster. After that day Sandy decided to get him back into racing.

Personality: i will post when I have more time, but for now, quiet, understanding, and a total horse know it all!
Background: he was raised on a farm, training the horses, he had his own colt to train when he was 9 but the colt got a disease and it got so bad that Soran had to shoot him, to stop the suffering. As a 16 year old at the time, he never really got over it. He tries not to look back, but doesn't seem to love anything else as much as he loved that colt. The reason why, Soran is crippled. He got a disease as a little boy, and his left leg was never the same, it's just a little bit different, but makes a world of difference, so he walks with crutches. But he doesn't need a special saddle or anything to ride, so you will almost never see him walking when he has the chance to be riding. The little colt that Soran raised for 7 years also was crippled. The colts left leg was twisted, the colt couldn't run, and soran's dad just wanted to shoot him, but soran wouldn't let him. He said that he would take in the colt, and he did, and the colt followed him everywhere, he eventually grew up into a big, beautiful horse. And his name soran won't tell. Soran would spend his time talking to him, and since the day that soran had to shoot him, he has never been the same.
