"I was wondering if I could borrow your phone, my dad's got this thing he's going to and I was supposed to meet him there, but I'm already late..."

I got bored, so I started to move the swing from side to side and chanted a song that one of my brothers had written for me when I was little:
"Lexi, she's the besssst! My sister needs resssst! Cuz she's being a butt."

It still made me laugh. What a sight I probably was; a teenage girl, sitting alone in a park, singing a song that made no sense to anyone else. I hoped Alex wouldn't see this.

Alex came from behind, but when he heard her sing, he smirked to himself, and stood still, keeping as quiet as possible so he could hear her song further,"Keep going.." he said outloud when she stopped, laughing,"You were good.." he walked to her front to face her with a smile.

Nicholas fumbled his pocket for his phone, then stopped, trying to be reasonable for a moment, he didnt even know her, so he did the right thing,"What your name?" he mumbled with his head down, still a bit tired, he had to atleast know what her name was to give her his phone.Atleast then he'd get some rest.

:Lexi:

I jumped a little when I heard his voice, but then I realized it was Alex and smiled. "Oh hey!" Then I laughed. "Thanks. My brother wrote it for me when I was being a butt due to lack of rest." I laughed again.

"So anyway... You came!" I said happily. I hopped up off of the swing.

I smiled, then looked around.

"And i...brought chinese food!" Alex finished and laughed,"Hope you like chow mein.." he took the bag from behind his back and hugged her, even though this was only their second acquaintance, he really wanted to get to know her.

:Lexi:

I hugged him back, thinking it was really sweet of him. "Oh, sure, chow mein's good," I replied, smiling. "Shall we?"

"Fortun cookie?" Alex held one out to her after they had finished the delicious greasy chinese food, he though chinese fortunes lucky, and always opened one after a meal.

I nodded, smiling, and took one. I cracked open the cookie, popping it into my mouth. Then I glanced at my fortune and smiled again, turning the paper towards Alex. "Check it out. It says: 'You will soon learn what love is'."
