Years of the earth being depleted of it's resources and being destroyed completely ruined every
piece of land. In the year 2513, the ocean levels rose, the world got hot in the places it was cold
and it got cold where it was hot. Homes, cities, monuments, and every man made thing was
covered up. Realizing the crisis the world was in, nations came together to form a union called the
Pinlex. They gathered people from every where they could and placed a station in Canada that
was prepared for this type of situation. Many citizens were left behind, while the others were taken
and thrived. Some of the population still survived out in the world, and it was unknown to the
Pinlex. Years went by and the leaders began to wonder if it was possible to leave their station
and explore earth. That's when they started the trials. Once teens reached the age 18, they would
be put against each other in multiple tests. These trials could be testing their mental or physical
abilities. At the end of it all, the best of the best will be sent out and they would leave the
Safe Haven to find new habitable land and how earth has changed. The other teens then
would be put into jobs that matched what trials they excelled in. It is considered an honor to
leave and explore, but rumors of a rebellion are being spread and rumors of outsiders. People
are upset about their children being sacrificed since most groups sent out do not return.
