you’re a cowboy in the age where what you know and the ways you
were taught are vanishing and becoming old. you’re far away from
your family and friends; everything you once knew is almost
forgotten. you’ve been through all kinds of weather and terrain for
months but you can’t stop now..

bailey anderson is the leader of this band of six cowboys. you don't go out to
seek trouble but it always tends to find you more often than you like. one
day, bailey rallies up the gang and proposes a journey east. you think he's
crazy, nothing could be there. bailey convinces you anyhow, saying there
was opportunity-- new civilization and farm land. throughout your
journey you'll experience all kinds of weather and terrian. only the tough
will survive.

the setting is a week before your departure. the band resigns in montana;
you're planning to travel to north carolina. you'll travel through many states
and see new ways of life and people, finding yourself in all different kinds
of situations. maybe even taking up new hobbies; bank robbery, becoming
an outlaw or interest in being a lawman of the west. it'll be a journey of
self-discovery and test how well you and the gang actually get along.

RULES

• there’s only six cowboys. yes, they can be girls too.
  in consideration, we’ll have six other characters back at
  their home in montana. preferably their love interest
  to make things interesting and have romance. also,
  people like farm hands etc are allowed. just the cowboys
  and their love interests are limited.
  
  • you can start out with a spouse/significant other first,
    just PM/speak to the other roleplayer beforehand.
    
  • love interests start out as cowboys/misc characters.
    
  • if a cowboy is in a relationship with another
    cowboy, then one of them will become a homesteader/misc
    character. just to give other people an opprotunity to
    join the gang and keep faces/interactions fresh.
    
    • cowboys can choose to leave the group at their
      own will and choosing. can decide to rejoin but
      acceptance is slim unless the reason was valid and
      they are trustworthy enough to rely on.
  • only one cowboy per person. roleplay starts
    whether we have all six or not.
• drama is encouraged. let the cowboys be cowboys.
  characters can get injured and possibly die. don’t kill
  each other’s character unless it’s been okay-ed
  between the two of you.
• use (), [], and {} if you wish to speak ooc
  [ out of character ].
• all of tess’ rules apply
• minor cursing is allowed
• three characters per person. animals are included
  but won’t be an option to roleplay — sorry, they’re just
  minor characters.
• all genders and sexualities are welcomed and accepted.
  but please keep in mind, the people of this time and age
  can and may act in confusion and need explaining. nothing
  will automatically be known.
• post ALL forms and means of communication
  on the discussion thread!
• this isn't an advanced roleplay, but please have neat posts
  and write 5 sentences or more

  housekeeping, animal husbandry, and will at least know how to load

May-Belle sat in the school house teaching the children the beginnings of Psalms. They repeated after her and she smiled as they finshed and she smiled, “That’s all for today kids!” She rang the bell and the kids ran out with a few shouts and cheers as she waved from the school door and looked outside in the early afternoon. She walked outside holding up her skirt as she waved goodbye to the kids and stretched before turning to go back inside to clean up. She picked up the easels and tucked them in each child’s desk before sitting down and opening the book she had been reading for the past couple days before her adult literature class arrived. She looked out the window at the sun and the children either playing or running down the path, she sighed and smiled, one day she wanted a family of her own.
(If you would like to join the literature class, it’s basically going through books and pulling out the main points, like an English class)

The sun brightly lite the sky as Jordan tacked up Dominick for his ride into town. The horse seemed to be enjoying the sun and heat. He needed to a few things here and there. Grunting he tightened up the cinch one last time. Dominick let out a little sigh of his own as Jordan did this. Putting his foot in the stirrup he swung his leg over and hopped on. "Let's go get 'em" he said before giving his horse a liget click. Dominick picked up his head and started to trot towards town. Along the way Dominick stopped and decided to walk for a little while. Jordan got after him, soon Dominick decided it would be fun to buck. Jordan quickly released his reino every so lightly and started to turn the misbehaving horse in and tight circle. Dominick got the idea and grunted before continuing onwards at a walk

Kate had found a little down on her map and she looked over a hill, she had lied low long enough, she needed supplies before she took off again, she nudged her horse down and rode into town tying him up and walking down the street her hat pulled low over her eyes. She scanned the people and finally found the general store picking up some basical foods and matierals. She put them on the counter and paid glad she hadn’t been recognized, this made leaving even easier, she walked out to untie her horse and sighed, it was a quaint town she would give it that. She petted her horse her eyes drifting around

Maybelle looked out her window to see a man riding in and she stepped outside to watch, newcomers always caught her attention, she leaned on the school house watching him and his horse. She looked st her watch and realized she was late to get to the saloon, she shut and locked the schoolhouse and started to run avoiding the horses in her path as she shouted, “Sorry excuse me!” She ran to the upstairs changing into her dark red dress and sighed fixing her hair, her other jobs the bar singer

The sound of birds echoed through the trees scattered along the property of Bailey Anderson. The cowboy was snoozing away with his hat pulled low over his eyes, laying comfortably underneath one of those trees. It wasn’t until his dog Banjo let a sharp bark, stirring him from his slumber. Slowly raising and propping him back on his elbows, he looked sleepily around from underneath the brim of his tan hat. “What is it boy?” He mumbled, scanning the horizon and drawing his eyes back to his home in the distance. He’d been out here since the break of dawn, rounding up cattle for their annual checkups. His lunch break had turned into a nap but at least he got his work done beforehand or his dad would be rolling in his grave, coming to kill him with his bare dead hands himself.

Getting groggily to his feet, his spur chains ringed with every movement. Yawning, Bailey stretched his arms high above his head then let him fall limp to his sides. “Let’s go, Banjo.” He clicked his tongue as he mounted his steed with ease, gathering the reigns. Bailey kicked the horse into a trot and he headed toward home; there, he’d turn right and go down the long dirt pathway that met the main dirt road which headed into town if you knew where you were going. Bailey lived way out away from the bustle of town; ‘out in the boonies’ the locals would joke.

Finally arriving into town he looked at the slowly but busy town. He hated it. Thee was far to many people and they usually got under foot. He continued to trot along before a woman came rushing out of no where. He quicklyrics stopped his horse and shook his head. The woman seemed to be in a rush though so he didn't say anything. Fixing his hat he sat back up in his saddle and waked to the genral store. Hitching his horse up he dismounted with a smoothness only an experienced rider could have.
