High Stride Stables -- Open and accepting

Thea ached to ride. She decided to ride bareback, only getting her bitless bridle from her giant “tack chest”. She didn't believe in bits. She thought that they looked ugly, especially when beng used to ride (OoC: not my opinion lol).
She was able to mount the tall, lean Marwari without having to use a stool or anything. The peace she experienced when even just on a horse took over.
“Ready to ride, boy?”
She rode in the paddock.

Davina looked at the girl with her dark brown eyes. "If you need anything else, I'm usually around," she spoke soft and slow for some odd reason. It may be because she felt off today, maybe cause she was the youngest girl at the barn. She gave her a faint smile with dead eyes and huffed. "I've got work to do and horses to ride..." she trailed off and began walking away slowly as the girl got tacked, Davina definitely made a better friend than enemy, and she had plenty of both. She watched her ride in the paddock and could tell she had some confidence and not a lot of fear.

“Sure,” Thea called from her private paddock.
Thea switched Buck from a walk to a trot, trot to lope and finally lope to gallop.
She couldn't wait to groom Buckwheat, but first he needed his exercise!

Davina watched the girl with her head tilted. She wasn’t sure if the girl competed or not but the younger divisions around were pretty easy and would be a good way to start. If she jumped Davina could definitely help her with that, and she was slightly good at teaching if the girl needed help.

Thea dismounted Buckwheat. She headed toward Davina and asked, “Do you compete?”

Davina raised an eyebrow as she asked the question. “Yea. Dressage mostly but I do some three day eventing and I enjoy jumping for fun and hunters.” She talked with a smile on her face as she loved riding. “How about you?” She asked, thinking back to her beautiful gelding.

“Not anymore,” Thea said, leaning against the stable wall and crossing her arms. “My brother had allowed me to use his old nag-of-a-mare to show, but then she got arthritis and put her down. Ugly thing, anyway. Barely won a cent showing.”
She looked over to her horse. “But Buckwheat and I, we still play polo from time to time.”
Thea smiled, but then stopped. Every time I smile, somebody thinks it’s sarcastic. If I have a chance of making friends, I Better not smile. Thea knew it was silly, but that’s the way she felt.

Davina held back her emotion at the girls words, she certainly didn't love all horses but she never talked about them like that, she kept a blank face. "I see, what did you compete in?" she asked, leaning against the fence, her arms crossed across her chest and one eyebrow raised slightly.
