so dimitri did get her name right. good on him. he found himself having to look down
at her, she was so tiny. memories of her coming to see paris were coming back to him,
slowly but surely. it was becoming clearer why she looked familiar. he hadn't rememb
ered her being so petite and.. cute, though. "yeah, a lot of people didn't expect me to
come here. i'm here to improve my writing." he glanced off to the side momentarily,
listening to alex. he rolled his eyes. "that'd be annoying, if nothing else. he wouldn't,
though. he wants to study up on forensic science."
paris coming up in conversation must have reminded marquesa of her friend, seeing as
she asked about dimitri's twin immediately after. he opened his mouth to respond when
his phone buzzed in his pocket. he furrowed his brow slightly, fishing it out and having
to narrow his eyes to be able to read who was calling. paris. "speak of the devil," he mu
mbled. "you may get to ask him yourself." he stated, then answered. "what?"
"walk outside."
".. why?"
"just do it!"
dimitri arched an eyebrow, glancing at marquesa for a moment then stepping towards
the doors that led to the exit. "okay.." he muttered, stepping outside. his eyes immedi
ately landed on a park bench.
".. you've got to be kidding me."

paris wasn't sure he'd ever get used to flying. the moment he stepped out of the plane
and landed in new york, he was dazed. he was more of a driving guy, but whatever, ri
ght? he was there, in new york, headed to the university at that very moment. dimitri
was probably going to try to kill him, but paris didn't care that much. he was ecstatic
to get started. new york was beautiful, and big, and full of opportunity! with luck, he
could go pretty far.. and dimitri had told him that the university was a great place, so
he had high hopes. if he recalled correctly, marquesa was also here, and so were venus
and alex and lola and jayce and probably a bunch of other people he'd known during hi
gh schoo. it was a great opportunity to both decide what he wanted his future to look
like and to reconnect with a lot of people he missed.
he carefully shouldered his bag that carried his snare drum, tugging on the sleeve of hi
s faux fur jacket before he started walking. the university was huge -- just the entranc
e was extravagant. they must have made big money there, which meant it had to be re
ally good, right? supposedly, it was. he'd be finding out in his first year there. he found
a bench just outside the main building and pulled out his phone, calling dimitri with a
soft smirk on his face. he was about to get the surprise of a lifetime. he told him to co
me outside then repocketed his phone, waiting patiently.

Seven's education wasn't much more than his American friend teaching him how to read and write English and what they would teach you in a town schoolhouse in Russia. In other words, while his English was above average, the complicated math equations he had been warned about were not one thing he was excited for. Even so, instead of reading up on math, Seven was immersed into the time-honoured novel "To Kill a Mockingbird". That is, until some other student with no regard for personal space decided to talk to him. Snapped out of his fantasy world, Seven looked up at his intruder. He may have seen this guy around, but as far as they were concerned, they were complete strangers. Maybe this was an American thing? In Russia you usually introduced yourself first, but Seven wouldn't question this country's socialisation. He was too new here to go around rejecting friends. "Uhh,
hi?" he muttered, closing the book to take a good look at the man. When he finally came back to reality and processed his question, Seven answered "Oh, it's To Kill a Mockingbird. You may have heard of it," of course he had. To the best of his knowledge, most kids read it in High School. On his own behalf, Seven offered a similar question. "What are you listening to? You seem to be enjoying it."

"Well you still dance to it now," Salem pointed out. At the male's statement, however, he was genuinely confused. Seven was new on campus, so it wasn't a surprise to him that he had no idea who this guy was. "Really? Who?" The boy cocked his head with curiosity, but also with confusion. He hadn't seen anybody who looked like him his whole life. Maybe this guy had just seen the same student twice? "You sure it wasn't just me?" Seven put his book down, using his schedule and dorm number as a bookmark, and turned his full attention to the stranger, then hopping off of the picnic table he was sitting on to offer him a handshake. "Seven. Pleasure to meet you."

Seven flashed a smile, "Yeah, one could see your dancing from New Jersey," he commented, then pondering on his comment, "You're not bad, though."

"Yeah? Alex, you say?" He should probably find this guy after they finished talking. If they looked as alike as Thomas swore they did, he'd probably hear a lot about it. "I don't know him... if you know where he is, maybe I'll recognise him, I don't know," the brunette hummed, taking his hand back after Thomas shook it. The name 'Alex' didn't ring any bells at all. Maybe they were just lookalikes? Maybe this guy had double vision. Who knows. Point in case, he wanted to see the resemblance himself. As far as Seven was aware, he didn't have any twins.
