Katie reached the edge of the water and looked down. She loved the water, but she never did really swim in the ocean. Raising her sunglasses and setting the on the top of her head, she walked in slowly, laughing slightly at how the moving sand tickled her feet. She kept going until it was up to her knees and looked around for something of interest. She saw some small schools of even smaller fish swimming about, but nothing eye popping, frowning she brushed her hair out of her face and kept searching, unaware that some guy noticed her.

Jake swam, humming some random country song. He swam out far, then lay on his back, the salty water keeping him afloat. A huge wave came, but Jake had positioned himself so the wave took him all the way to shore. He always did that, ever since he was a kid. It was relaxing, yet fun at the same time. He just lay on the shore, sunglasses on, his Ipod speakers still playing music from his deckchair.


Harry finished the assignment he was typing up for honours English. It was hard, but he wanted to do well. He decided to get in some hours of forums and games on his laptop. He opened up minecraft, and started playing on his favourite world. ...5 minutes in he got killed by a creeper. Oh well. He started playing again. Just as he was going good, his Labrador Max barked, wanting to go for a walk. Harry loved his dog, he had got it 7 years ago when he was just 10. He went through some tough stuff then, such as bullies, but the little Labrador puppy helped him through it. At times, Max was his only friend. "You wanna go walkies Max!" He said in a silly voice, making his dog jump up and down, barking like mad. He put the leash on the bounding pile of gold fur and went out the door, letting Max lead. They started heading for the beach.

Katie got a bit braver and went up to her waist in the water. But now she was a bit nervous and back out, going back up to ankle deep inside and sat down in the water, watching the waves roll in towards her. Then she began to draw hearts in the sand and watched the wash away, glancing back to make sure her notebook was safe every now and then.

Jake peeked from under his sunglasses at Katie. She's definitely a middle-classer. He thought. But dayum, she's kinda hot. Meh, we'll see. He tried to make it as little obvious as possible. Getting bored, he ran back into the water and dived, unintentionally and accidentally splashing her as he swam out to the far hilly rocks in the distance.

Katie jumped slightly when she was splashed. "He-!" she started, but her voiced quickly died and she blushed slightly. It wasn't worth the trouble. SHe'd probably embarass herself any ways. And besides, it was only water. Then she noticed it was the boy she'd seen before and realized who he was. Oh.. That boy, she thought to herself and rolled her eyes, bringing her sunglass down to cover her eyes as she watched him swim off.

Swimming out to the rocks in the distance,

Jake climbed the rocks. It took a long time, but the view was amazing. He could see almost the entire city from up here. He stood up, dived off the rock and swam back to the shore. He turned to Katie. "Sorry about that splash" He said. "You're a middle-classer, right?" Hopefully this girl wouldn't go all silent and crazy like the other middle-classer girls did. Just cause he was the captain of the football team, didn't mean they had to freak out and go all mushy... But it was kind of why he was one of the most popular boys.

Katie was shy, but mainly towards opening up and being the one to first go up to a cute guy and all that stuff you know. She looked up at him as he approached and took off her sunglasses to look at him directly, her eyes on his. "If I must be defined in a 'class', I suppose I am," she answered in a quiet sweet voice.

Jake sat down and looked at the sea for a few moments. "If I didn't know already I would have thought you would be one of the popular girls. But then again, most of them are a bunch of female dogs. But not all of them." He told her. He took his sunglasses off, as not to be rude.

Katie smiled slightly and a light blush formed on her face. He? The football captain thinking that she could be a popular? Ridculous, she thought to herself and laughed at his comment on the popular girls. "Yea.. But no, I'm not one. Don't want to be either," she told him and looked away, off towards the other end of the beach.
