Ashly snapped out of it when he asked a question. "Yep I did. Sorry I was just trying to picture the shed here and well I can." she replied, looking over at him.

"Alright. I'll pull the wagon over." I said, holding my power drill.
I didn't want to take too long on the shed, although Ashly was in no
rush to get back home. Hearing a buzz in my pocket,
I pick it up to see my grandmother calling. "Hello?" I spoke, while hammering down
some planks.
"Jamie, do you know where you put my snowman wrapping paper?" The other line spoke
sweetly. I had just remembered that it was the Happy December. No wonder so many grocery deals.
"Left corner of garage, ama." I spoke, looking for a missing nail frantically.
"Alright, thank you Jamie." She bid a good bye and ended the call.
"Ashly!" I called, realizing the roof would collapse without the nail.

The young woman turned around in time to move. She glanced at James before moving over to help build it. The last thing she needed was to get hurt while away from home. Thankfully she had a tank top underneath her semi nice shirt, so she pulled it over her head and tossed it aside. The cool breeze felt good on her skin as she began to hammer away at some nails. As she was getting to work, her phone decided to ring.

Grunting slightly, she pulled it out from her pocket and saw that it was her brother. Sighing softly, she hit ignore and pushed her phone back in her pocket. Ashly hasn't really spoken to her brother since the other day, since she was still upset with him.

I give her a quiet 'thank you' before going back to work.
I wasn't sure if this was how I wanted to spend the jolly
December, but if accomplishing something my dad dreamed of-
I will gladly do it. Even if its a tiny fishing shed.

Ashly continued to help out. At least it was better than sitting at home filling out more paper work and it sure was taking her mind off the funeral arrangements that needed to be taken care of. She was going to leave that all to her brother in the mean time since she knew he could figure out what would be best. A soft sigh escaped from her lips at just the thought that this would be the first Christmas without her grandmother.

"Yes, yes do that. That would be great" He clasped his hands together after the hand shake and lingered for only a moment more. He wasn't acting very professional. In fact he was acting rather childishly. "Umm.. ya.. well, see ya around." He turned on his heels and offered a short wave as he took his leave. Tugging at his scarf again he silently thought of what his plans were for the rest of the day. nothing, absolutely nothing. Maybe he could go to the park and draw some more. Wait.. it was cold.. What about that tiny diner that just opened?

She nodded her head and went on her way to head home. Heather figured it would be nice to be home and be able to relax. Heather walked out to her car and began the drive home. She wondered what she was going to do on her day off. There were so many things to do but she just want sure what to do.

Looking at the shed, done and coated with fresh paint I beam a smile.
"Hey, I am gonna go take a break. Care to join?" I said, looking out at
the sun shining through my aviators.

Ashly glanced at the shed and smiled softly at it. She heard his comment and gave a nod. "Sure, I would like to." she said, the smile on her face grew slightly.

Pouring myself a glass of cold brew, I sit down on the chairs on the lakehouse
porch. Work was starting up next week, I had known how crowded it gets at the
auto shop. Looking out into the distance, I watched the kayaks filled with kids
as they paddle their way to the other side of the shore.
