Can you search up pets people own?

Title is as reads, i'm really new to CS and a lot of people have traded me for pets I got from events without me posting anything on the forums or stuff. I lost a omgsr pickle before I knew about rarities :sob: But I was just wondering if people can find you via pets you obtain, as i'm not sure how they would have found the pets they wanted without me posting anything! (I've posted a good amount since then, obvs!)

You can't "search" for pets necessarily, but I'm guessing they either looked at the "who is online" list at the bottom of the forums page on the desktop version of the site or they just changed the ID number in the URL when looking at a pet (example: chickensmoothie.com/viewpet.php?id=1 ) to find users with valuable pets in unlocked groups.
