Why are the January 2009 Second Gen Gray Dogs So Common?

Okay weird thing to bring up, but I've noticed it for a while and it's always bugged me. Is it just me or are the second gen dog litter from January 2009 extra common? I mean one of the outcomes is even Very Common, which is the only pet close to that old to have that rarity marker (at least to my knowledge). Why is this?

If I remember correctly, that litter was available for a year. I remember them being in the adopt page when I joined in Dec 09.

They were available for a loonggggg time. from the start of CS until april 2010, so nearly 2 years. plus, adoption limits weren't a thing back in 08/early 09. you could literally adopt 1000's if you wanted too, which many many people did xD
