I've noticed that if you players have a group for September pets and they're usually higher Rarities what exactly are September pets.

I know what December 18th is but I just noticed these other groups with some older members

Those groups are probability referring to September List pets from the Rares List. They are part of the list of pets that are the highest value pets on CS. September List is in the middle, so they aren't worth as much as Main List pets, but are worth more than Advent List pets, and any regular pets not on the list.
