Dogs and cats

So I can adopt up to forty dogs an go full crazy but only five cats? Why did I get so many dogs? I wanted forty cats instead?? Help??

Each litter has its own adoption limit, usually around 5 to 8 or so depending on how many outcomes that litter has. The dogs this month are unusual in that they're the annual staff litter, where each staff member can make a pup for the litter, resulting in 27 possible outcomes for the dog litter this month, but next month the dogs will probably be back down to the usual litter size. Earlier this year we had a general helper litter of cats though, and that had a larger adoption limit than normal the same way this month's dog litter does. :3

Oh thank you, I just thought this website didn't like cats all that much because it is my first month here and it happened to be a staff litter, thanks for helping me understand!
