I'm confused

I thought I could show off my lovely wolf/dog collection in the collection forum but the topic got locked for trade advertising. I wasn't even trying to trade advertise, I only wanted to show off my collection. If the collections forum isn't the place to do that, then what forum is?

And there's another topic in the collections forum about someone's fennec fox collection that blantantly mentions trading and it's not locked. I'm really confused. All I said was my collection is ever-growing and additions are always appreciated. I didn't ask for trades and my topic gets locked, meanwhile this other topic blatantly says trades are welcome and stays open?!

your thread was most likely locked because of this line. and if there's another topic that mentions trading that the mods haven't already locked, then they probably just haven't gotten around to it yet.

You don't actually show off your collection anywhere. No links or images to pets that are your favorites for example.
The only content to this post is considered begging for pets, so that's probably why it was locked.

Oh, I didn't realize I actually had to link to them. I thought people could find my pets on their own. Am I not allowed to make a new topic fixing the problem? Ok, I'll make a new topic later. I think part of the reason I never put links/images in that post is I'm on my phone and it's really hard to copy and paste on a phone for me. I'll have to switch to my much slower laptop just to do that.

The problem is that without images, the topic only consists of two sentences, one of which is encouraging trades, so the images of the pets are necessary to give the topic a reason for being. (:
