!!NEED HELP PLEASE HELP!!

GUYS! I NEED HELP!! BADLY!!
so, whenever I try to put a background on my pet when im dressing it up, it always covors the pet and i cant see the pet! How do i make it not cover the pet, but go behind it? PLEASE HELLPPPPPP!!! I MIGHT GIFT SOME HELPERS

In the bottom right corner of the screen, under the item lists, is a check mark. When you click it, you can toggle where all your items are placed. Below or above the pet/other items. :3

Right, you need to select "Rearrange mode" in the bottom right
Then you need to select the background
Then press the little green arrow that appears it the bottom of the item
Then take it out of rearrange mode
