Suggestion: Hide the Pound's 'Adoptions' Group?

It was recently asked why the Pound's 'Pets without a group.' was hidden and the staff answered with something along the lines of "too many people were messaging the staff asking why...
..there were so many pets"
..why weren't more being given out"
..if they could trade/have the rarest pets" and so on.

So it got me thinking, why don't we hide the Adoptions group too? A lot of players go and check the pound group before the pound even opens and not only does that ruin the surprise but it upsets players who don't get the really rare pets they see. As shown in the 199K Pound Event. It may also lead to spam trades because some people bookmark the rarest pets there and send trades to people who get the pets; I asked someone who got a joker form the pound and they said they were sent loads trades within minutes.

Proposal; hide the Pound's 'Adoptions' group

Pros:
- stops spam trades.
- saves players from getting upset.
- prevents pound pet tracking.
- allows players who find valuable pets to show them only if they want to.
- what appears in the pound will be a surprise.

Cons:
- ... are there any cons?

Eh, I like being able to see the adoptions group. To me, knowing what's there is better than it being a surprise, and it's nice to know whether or not there's actually anything I want in there.

Another pro is that it helps newbies not be ninja traded if they get a valuable pet from the pound. It's vary easy to stalk the older rare pets in the pound, and if a newbie picks them up, send them a totally unfair trade and hope the accept it, which newbies being newbies, often will. Yeah, this can happen other ways, but for ninja traders this is the best way.

It kinda defeats the original purpose of the pound though. You're meant to adopt pets you like the look of or are on your wishlist, not to add bulk to your 'rare' folders or another state to ego. :c

That is a very good point.. back when I started my friend got a raven in the pound, we both knew it was rare of course, but not how rare. I can't recall, but the chances of us being ninja'd back then were ridiculous. If I recall correctly, I was ninja'd of the 2011 green Tess dragon seconds after I got it. I was a dumb noob. -_-

Mm, this is an alright idea, but I like looking at the pets. It prepares me for what might appear, and I dislike the thought that I will click on a wishlist common and not a wishlist rare which are on the same page.

I also prefer it the way it is, and I imagine if it were going to be changed that it probably would have when the other group got hidden.
That being said I can definitely see the benefits, and "I prefer it how it is" is my only reasoning haha

Yeah, I think when the other group got hidden it sparked criticism so I think one folder is enough and won't cause much harm.

I support this suggestion! Probably because I'm a cranky veteran who wants to preserve the spirit of the Pound as much as realistically and reasonably possible lol and I think this is a realistic and reasonable suggestion for doing that

Although I myself am guilty of checking before the Pound opens sometimes, I support this suggestion as well, for the same reason that nickjr stated
