1x1 problem??

I was thinking of doing a 1x1 thread for me and my friend, but we just roleplay very short and lazy roleplays there
(like at one time we roleplay as a detective then it ends then after that we roleplay as news breaking people, etc..)
Is that allowed?

Actually I think as long as it doesn't contain words or contents that aren't appropriate for young children it's fine

As long as all content of the RP is within the site rules, it's perfectly fine to RP whatever storyline you want. It's you and your friend's roleplay, so if you want to switch between plots and settings or write only short posts, that's completely up to you.
Most rp boards except the two "Advanced" sections are open to roleplays of all literacy levels, so by all means, if you prefer it this way, go for it.
All the rules you need to be aware of are stickied to the top of the board index as always, so if you're worried you're missing something, give those a read.
Other than that, the Rule Index is also a neat resource for when you're trying to find out if there's a rule against something specific.
