I finally had the presence of mind to search “lunar new year in different countries” and apparently not every country that celebrates LNY has LNY even falling on the same day. All of our LNY celebrations on CS started on the day that the Chinese (and others, like the Vietnamese) use. Probably nothing that can be done about that though
So maybe this suggestion is also an opportunity for future artists to expand their pets and items to include some stuff from other countries that celebrate LNY :D (the most obvious example: fooooood) Especially since we are nearing the end of our first full cycle! We started in 2011 so what better way to cycle back than to expand in 2023? (But hopefully we won’t have to wait that long lol)
