It took me a moment, but I was able to find the original journal that I got all of the questions from! You can see it HERE.

There's a lot of wonderful questions. I've used it to help me come up with ideas for species in the past.

The additional info you've added is neat! I can see you're starting to flesh out your ideas. I have a couple more questions that came to mind while I was reading the new info that might help.

What color(s) can the souls inside the lanterns be? Does the color of the soul give any indication to what type the Nekovie is (like whether it is Risen/Fallen/a subspecies/etc)?

What does it mean when a Nekovie born from a lost child's soul loses all memory of their humanity? What do you define as humanity in the first place?

When a Fallen Nekovie becomes a Nightmare and loses their mask, does the mask just fall off and become lost forever? What sort of significance is there in having a mask, and is it seen as a bad thing to lose one's mask?

Today may be the day I get some more sketch designs done or permanent sketches for the other subspecies and work on a basic layout to get a shop started for now, while the more permanent look is worked on in the mean time.
