❀ What is a Manu Lele? They may look like everyday birds, but they are ❀
❀ far from that. The Manu Lele (Mah-noo Ley-ley) is a species of exotic, but small ❀
❀ birds. The Manu Lele are very social creatures, and each one of them has a unique ❀
❀ personality and cry. A Manu Lele will grow up in its flock for it's whole life, only ❀
❀ leaving to visit other various flocks scattered around the island which it can call ❀
❀ it's home. Researchers are unable to tell how many Manu Lele really exist due to ❀
❀ the sheer quantities of birds living on the island. Islands are being discovered ❀
❀ that house new subspecies of Manu Lele every few months. We hope to one day ❀
❀ discover all species of Manu Lele. ❀

A larger Manu Lele hops onto a branch next to you, welcoming you to the island!
It pulls a scroll from under it's wing and hands it to you before flying off. You
unravel the scroll to see a messy list of rules, you guess that one of them tried to
write it for you. How sweet!

2. DO NOT STEAL THIS LINE ART. This is my personal creation, and If I discover that someone has taken it, they will be banned from all things relating to this adopt as well as be reported.
3. Always link back to this thread if you post your Lele somewhere.
4. All discussion not involving events/taming/eggs should not be posted on this thread. There will be another thread for these topics.
5. Do not mini-mod! I cannot stress this more. If you mini-mod I will give you a warning, but after that you will receive 2 strikes instead of one. If you accidentally mini-mod and realize it after you post, edit your post and remove the part that isn't allowed. You will not receive a warning/strike if you fix it. Mini-modding includes telling other players if one of the adopts is already taken.
6. Respect everyone on this thread! This includes the birds, with no negative comments about the designs of another persons bird. Do not complain about the way things are ran in this thread either. It is formatted to make it easier for me and for you.
7. Do not edit your birds appearance in any way. If you get a item that allows edits to be made, I or another artist will do it for you.
8. If any of these rules are broken, you will receive a strike or even a ban in severe cases. You will lose all rights to own your Manu Lele's, and they will be put back up for adoption.

Artists will be able to create Manu Lele and have access to all line art as well as get the first look at new line art. They will be able to create 2 customs for themselves with approval from me before posting them anywhere. Artists will be required to make at least 3 batches of either eggs or adults every month. If you do not follow this, you will lose your artist status. If you are unable to make litters for a short amount of time, PM me and I will understand. Artists will be notified second (behind the mods) about upcoming events so they can provide additional input as well as begin to make new adopts. Note that artists are NOT mods, and will not be allowed to mini-mod under any circumstances. Artists will however be allowed to tell a player if an adopt is already taken.

Mods will be able to run a lot of the events with me and the artists as well as watch over all threads relating to the adopts. Mods will not have access to any line art, but will get the second look (behind the artists) at any new line art. Mods will, however, be the first to be notified about any upcoming events so they can provide any input or ideas for it. I will listen to mods before artists, as mods and I will know the most about what is going on currently. Mods will be required to notify me if someone is breaking the rules, even if an artist or staff member is doing this. Mods will receive 2 customs for themselves, created by me or an artist of their choice. The artist that creates this will PM me and you with the adopt for approval. PM me to redeem these customs.

Players can be mods as well as artists if they have a lot of experience in both places, and will be known as admins instead. I will not have a lot of people with this job. Note that customs do not stack up from both artist and mod (you will only receive 3 customs regardless of your position.)

Standard Egg
Tucked away in the trees, you catch a glimpse of a
few nests. There are a few eggs inside each one and most
look like these eggs. They must be common!



Standard Adult
You look around and notice that most of the Manu
Lele look similar to this type. They must be common!



Giant Adult
Woah! You almost run directly into one of the Manu
Lele. It's almost as tall as you are and is giving you a blank
stare for waking it up. You notice a few other Manu Lele of
this size hanging around the edges of the clearing. They must
be uncommon!

Our researchers are getting ready to go on another trip to the
islands to discover more subspecies. Come back at 50 adopts
posted!

You are walking around deep into the forest, where you
don't expect to see many Manu Lele. Out of the corner of your eye you
spot a flock heading towards you at max speed! You figure that they
must be attacking you, so you throw your arms up to protect yourself.
There is no attack, to your surprise, and instead they land around you
in what seems to be curiosity. Maybe you can convince one to come
with you...

The way that taming will work is that you will find one of two flock types.
One will be easy to convince, in which it will be FCFS to tame them. The
other will be a little tougher to convince, and will want their pick of
adopters to choose from. This flock type will be a raffle in which the winner
will be drawn with a random number generator. These raffle flocks will
have rarer edits than FCFS adopts.

You are sitting down, relaxing on the island when
you spot a shiny egg sitting in a nest above you! The egg looks
neglected, with small scratches on it. Maybe you could give it a
home it deserves.

All the eggs found here will be revealed once they are adopted! There
will be a code drop once all eggs are claimed that reveals the Lele inside!
All eggs will hatch as adults, but there is a rare chance, determined by
a number generator, that it will come out as a Pygmy Manu. If any users
are banned, their Manu's will be remade into eggs and readopted back into
the community for others to enjoy.

You notice that quite a few Manu's are gathered around
a bright patch of light in the middle of the island. You step forward and
realize that there are nests everywhere! Almost all the nests are full of
eggs, except for one or two. Maybe your Manu would want it...

How breeding works is that you will need two Manu's, one male and one female, and a breeding item. This item can be obtained either through the store or through events. If you do not have a breeding item that guarantees a certain amount of eggs, it will be generated with a random number generator. The egg(s) will have the traits of both the mother and father as well as a mix of their color palettes. Note that if there are no available nests, you will have to wait to breed your Manu's. If you want to breed one of your Manu's with another users Manu's, you are able to with an image of that user giving you permission. Just post a picture of it when you post your form. Only one user should post the form so it is more organized.

you step into a clearing with a red carpet laid out on the grass.
Taking a closer look you can spot a large array of items and
beads laid out to display the items. Maybe one of your Manu's
would want one...

A pair of snazzy shades. You aren't sure what purpose they would
serve to your Manu, but they sure do look cool. Comes in any color.

An elegant halo. Your Manu looks nice without the halo, but with it
they look angelic. Comes in any color.

Flower Crown
A cute flower crown. Your Manu went out and gathered the flowers
on its own from around the island. It looks so proud of itself! Comes
in any 3 colors.

Breeding Items


Plain Feather
It's too plain for your tastes, but
your Manu's seem to like it. Allows two Manu's
to breed with a random number (1-4) of eggs.
Cost: 10 beads


Glittery Feather
This feather is liked by both you
and your Manu's, but something still feels
off about it. Allows two Manu's to breed
with a guaranteed 3 eggs.
Cost: 15 beads


Rainbow Feather
The feather seems to glow with
all the colors of the rainbow. You wish you
were around to see what the Manu looked
like who lost it! Allows two Manu's to breed
with a guaranteed 4 eggs.

Suspicious Glowing Feather
I don't think feathers are supposed
to glow like that. Do you really want to give
that to one of your Manu's? Allows two Manu's
to breed with a random number (1 to 3) of
eggs. The eggs that hatch will have a greater
chance to be mutated.
