Poetry & songs for my dragons on DC

Postby Vazchu » Sun Oct 29, 2023 3:35 am

I enjoy writing in various different ways. Thus I tend to do it every once in a while, either unseen for only myself to read and at times I feel like sharing what I've created. Mostly I write for my characters and my stories that I cherish.

Once upon a time, way back in 2009 ... I started writing descriptions for my dragons on dragon cave in order to teach myself English (I had a really hard time in school to grasp more than how to introduce myself, colours and how to count. Thus I was awful for my age and was very depressed about it). I barely knew how to make myself understood back then and some lovely people in the DC community helped me while knowing how bad my English was. They were willing to proofread my descriptions, gave me feedback on how to improve and find the correct words. With that helping me increase my confidence in being able to understand what school was unable to teach me while at the same time I got the chance to improve my writing. I'm still learning and though I understand English fluently nowadays when I hear and read it; I still don't deem myself as fluent when it comes to writing it. Even though I can manage well enough and write without having to use translators to look up every other word as I go.

I had as a goal for myself back in 2009 to write a description for all of my dragons that I owned; since they kind of became their own person in my mind as I named them and wrote diary entries for some of them ... Currently I have more than 2000 dragons and I don't see the possibility of me ever writing that many descriptions as the numbers are still increasing (though not as rapidly as they did way back when). And I have been thinking for a while that I've wanted to post what I write for them somewhere. Since I'm unsure if its okay to do that on DC's forums due to that many of them are not approved yet; I decided to share the newer ones that I write here. Let's just say that I don't really write them the way I started doing it back in 2009. I decided to have some fun in order to keep myself inspired and "keep the flow".

Feel free to comment and/or give feedback if you'd like. (:

Within the darkness two pearls shines bright,
glittering and shimmering in their bluest pride.
Somewhere in the depths there is a silent sound,
a silent song which caused the heart to pound.
It whispers, it tells stories of old, tales of eternity ride,
forgotten within this endless song.

[ Song ] ~ Oh dear, what now!

Postby Vazchu » Sun Oct 29, 2023 3:44 am

A song for my chicken Czidis based on the melody of "What's this" from "The nightmare before Christmas"

Czidis wrote:
Image

Oh dear, what now! The tiniest egg they've ever seen,
how queer, how odd, wonder what's inside!
Let them care, alas beware, they might step on it by mistake.
Oh dear, what now! How weird, feathers are covering its head.
How it peeps, it chirps, such a mystery they found!
This yellow, fluffy little poofy being, wonder what it is!
Oh dear, what now! It grew, still the tiniest of all.
How white, how peculiar, they wonder what it wants!
It's wandering about, doesn't quite know where to go.
Oh dear! Perhaps it doesn't think it's here!
Little poof, wake up! Can't it see it's the only one of its kind ...
The tiny poof, chirps and peeps, seems to fetch them grass
and plays with their young, oh dear what's going on!
Oh see, it's found its place and helps with caring for the young
and plays with them as if it doesn't know that it's such an odd little being and not like them.
Oh such a precious little creature they have found, so dear!

[ Poem ] ~ A poisonous bite

Postby Vazchu » Sun Oct 29, 2023 3:52 am

Belberith Drakhaoul wrote:
Image

A late winter night, the terror ran free
and the coldness came adrift. A vampire was turned
and the clan rejoiced, for it was such a wonderful sight to be seen.
Alas, the joy wouldn't last, they all could tell that the little lad had been lost.
Not a "lost" that could be seen, but within himself
- in the claws of the poisonous demon which floated unseen.
"Thee ought not to be a part of this clan; a leader thou shall be," he could hear a voice
that none of them could. "The darkest darkness is coming for thee."
The lad Belberith was trapped, in poison, in pain - and tried to break through all in vain.
They could only watch as the evil within took over what little he had a chance to once be.
He would not obey, he would always betray and kept being led astray.
Alas, the poison would not stop there, it kept pouring through his fangs;
down, down, down it ran.
The voice had been right that one time, for the demon within kept him as a king,
as the poisonous bite made the Drakhaoul's clan real.

[ Poem ] ~ Foolish delight

Postby Vazchu » Sun Oct 29, 2023 5:14 am

Rewca is one of my mints for 1st April, and she is the reason I even started writing poetry for my dragons since she inspired me to do it with her silliness and I felt brave enough to go along.

Foolish Rewca wrote:
Image

Upside down, topside up, right side wrong ...
Oh dear, it seems like everything the lass has just might be slightly, awfully, weird.
She fumbles, stumbles and tumbles.
Lass, lass, almost made out of glass.
Oh dear, what goes on here! We wonder ... Foolish little Rewca they call her;
pretending to be a Vampire, how marvelous!

Upside down, topside up, right side wrong ...
Oh dear, she's fallen once more! Or did she ... Is she purposely doing it, perhaps.
Lying on her back, never thinking something she lack;
wishing she'd be - something we have never seen.
Oh dear, amongst the Zombies she has fallen! How delighted they will be ...

[ Poem ] ~ Snowfright

Postby Vazchu » Sun Oct 29, 2023 5:21 am

Song of a SnowGhost I used to be wrote:
Image

A song causing the stars to shiver, a song in the mist always lingers. Somewhere, somehow ...
Unpleasant feelings creep closer. Making thee feel joy, making thee feel scared. Oh no, SnowGhost is near!
As the shadow-dance begins anew; run, run or else thou shall be forever lost!
Through glistening snow, distant words thou will hear; enchanting words which shall lead thee astray.
Oh no, run, run, whenever SnowGhost is near!

[ Poem / Song ] ~ Fluffy poof

Postby Vazchu » Sun Oct 29, 2023 5:32 am

This is somewhat of a splice between a poem and a continuation of Czidis' description and was supposed to go with the same melody of "What's this" from "The nightmare before Christmas". It isn't perfect in terms of the melody, thus I deem it somewhere inbetween.

Lunote wrote:
Image

Once upon a time, there was an egg,
another one, a tiny one, how weird,
they wonder where they all come from!
It hatched! Another tiny fluffy feather-covered tiny creature,
"Who in the world are you?" they asked with no reply.
It chirps, it peeps, following the other fluffy little feather-covered being.
This one, on the other hand, chose not to grow.
They let it stay young - forevermore,
and it kept playing with the youngsters -
even though they try to eat it.
Little poof beware!
"Oh yes beware, our tiny dear poof,
else you end up as our children's next supper ..."

[ Poem ] ~ Running through the waves

Postby Vazchu » Sun Oct 29, 2023 5:50 am

Somewhat a fun story in regards to this one. I had the line "running through my head, running through my head" on repeat in my head and at first I couldn't remember where I got it from, so I started writing this poem. Only to later find out with some help from my partner that it was from the song "All the things she said" by t.A.T.u. that I got the line from. A real blast from the past.

Kico the wave runner wrote:
Image

Running through the sunlight,
running through the waves.
It never ceases to amaze
with paws almost ablaze
the others wonder where he aims
when running through the waves;
Kico is yearning for his true place.
Dreaming of the stories he heard
searching for the truth behind those words.
Running through the sun-waves,
he seeks that path with delight
knowing where he's been
seeing what he's seen.
Keep running through the waves
leading to the story that fades away.
Running through the waves.

[ Poem ] ~ Lullaby

Postby Vazchu » Sun Oct 29, 2023 5:55 am

Thoumoh's Lullaby wrote:
Image

Somewhat a mythical story, somewhat a distant Lullaby of the past
when he would sing, words as that of a spell were cast -
a spell of winter's lost Holiday cheer that forever would last.
Calming and peaceful, he lifts the expectations and spirits,
wholesome and true, no longer a myth, no longer a ghost.
He will calmly await the winter's arrival,
waiting for the glittering snow and its cold.
Their essence that he closely will hold
closer than most, dearer and not lost.
He carries them as a lantern through snowstorms
as he calmingly sings
the Lullaby of a dreamer.

[ Song ] ~ Neglected tale

Postby Vazchu » Sun Oct 29, 2023 6:04 am

A song for my ND Eve, based on the melody of "Such horrible things" by Creature Feature.

Cursed gift of Christmas Eve wrote:
Image

This is a story
the neglected tale
where Eve was the star;
sit down now, let's hear
this story's fate!

When she hatched
she would always bite the other's tail
and later pretend
"Oh no, it wasn't Eve!"
and then she would bite 'em again.
Oh, how she loved their cry!

When she was two
she would trick
the vampire juveniles -
a game in the woods
yes, time for her fun!
They would be forever lost
quite a reasonable cost.
Oh, how she loved their fear!

When she was six
she made the most evil deed.
Her only friend, Sin, was quite dull,
the laughter in her skull
urged her to bury Sin alive,
her friend didn't survive.
Oh, she forgot, Sin is a zombie alright!

Eve's not a bad gal, even though she does bad things,
very bad things, such horrible things ...
But it's not quite what it seems!

Aw, hell, she's exactly what she seems ...

[ Song ] ~ Buried alive

Postby Vazchu » Sat Mar 30, 2024 7:45 am

A song somewhat based on the melody for "Heores are calling" by Smash into pieces.
Sin of Muhthem's Death wrote:Image

As the skies are falling, it all started down below,
hear that distant calling, the limbs be crawling,
they see her rise up, she cannot be held down.
Buried six feet under, she's coming up, coming up, coming up.

That madness in her mind, spreading fright.
She's the undead killer, though not very bright.
They see her fighting through the echoes of the night,
retreating at the first sign of light.

Hear her distant calling, while the limbs be crawling,
they see her rise up, she's coming up, coming up, coming up.

The nightmare's just beginning and she's the prisoner of doubt,
the voices of her maddened mind; calling out, calling out, calling out.
No wonder she cannot ever find, the reason she's the Living Sin,
one may come to believe that she's completely blind.
