what i would say to you if i had the chance. what i would do to go back in time and talk to you, to remind you how loved you are. how your curly hair is nothing to be ashamed of. that it's okay to speak up for yourself. not everyone will treat you like she does. i wish i was there to protect you when no one else was, i see you in other people often. i'm reminded of you every day. you are memorable. you are loveable.

there is nothing wrong with you and i apologise that i wasn't there to support you, bub.

there is so much evil in this world, i know you trust others so easily. little did we both know, evil was so close to us. she was meant to protect us from harm.

the snow is melting outside, but you're warm. watching cbeebies in your rocking chair. could life be any better? maybe if daddy wasn't so focused on the camera.

you're oblivious as to what the future holds. everyone is. do they know how much hurt i feel? i wish you understood how i felt.

i'm not hurting because i want to go back to how it was,

but because i was oblivious to what my mother is really like.

oh how much i dislike it now.. but at the same time, i'm growing and aware.
