Are you better at writing silly or serious things?
Serious. I'm not overly good at humour, and to be perfectly honest I would much rather break my readers hearts than make them laugh!

What are some of your characters' quirks?
Hmmm...Claire bites her lip when she's worries... dunno really.

Do you ever invent languages for your fantasy worlds?
Oh umm... not really thb. The occasional swear, but that's about it.

How do you work around writing a character that's completely different from you (Or even a little bit different, something along those lines)?
Hmm, sounds hard. I guess you need to know them, you need to write with them a lot. If you know a character well enough, they will start becoming much more easy to write, and have ideas of their own. ^-^

Does anyone ever really want to write something, but you aren't quite sure what to write? I want a small break from my main story/stories, but I don't know what to write about. I kinda want to write something superhero-ish. I don't know. XD

Well, depending on where your charries are switching dimension, you could try black/worm holes ((Scientifically or naturally)), Devices that change the individual's plane of existence ((and thus, the dimension)), a central hub with a bunch of doors/portals that lead to other dimensions, or you could make up a scientific-sounding explanation involving dark/negative matter.

Serious things are honestly the most written thing from me.

Ummm, not now.
For me story I'm writing, there are these dead creatures that I'm going to call "Clickers" and they will have there own 'clicking language'; but that's still an idea, nothing official.

I don't think I can? All my characters are based off of me and 2 of my non-related sister and brother. I think if I had to write character that's different from me, they would be happy/giggle all the freaking time. xD

I have a rather odd way of dealing with this actually. I stop writing my main story for a while and spend some time getting to know my character. I imagine them in various situations and when I give my own opinion about something I like to imagine what my character's opinion would be. In the end I get so familiar with my character writing them becomes like witing about a friend.

I try to find something I do have in common with them, and focus on that some. It's really hard to find a character who has absolutely nothing in common with you at all.

xxxxxIn the movies, it's depicted in an almost dream-like state; during the first charge, time seems to slow. Explosions rock the camera, but the men push bravely on; a few comrades fall, but they fall knowing their sacrifice was for home. You watch as the heroes overcome seemingly insurmountable odds to win the day and return home beloved by all.

Let me tell you now, war isn't like that.

It's horrifyingly real.

I've found myself no longer enjoying my story or characters, which is really sad because I used to love it ): anyone else experience similar problems?

Well, I really love Gwendolyn (from the story I shared here). I'm not sure why, but I think it's because... Her personality first. She is what I wished I was like, strong, stubborn, but kind and gentle. Secondly, she's going to live through a lot and I know she will stay strong despite that.
Is that a good enough reason?

That's what sadly happens to me with most stories... I start writing, absolutely love it, then at some I don't enjoy it anymore... And then there it is, another unfinished story.
