My Form for RPWs #829, #858, and NxM Pup - DO NOT POST!

Postby booklover789 » Tue Jan 19, 2016 10:14 am

PLEASE DO NOT POST ON THIS THREAD.

My form for RPWs #829, #858, and Nuria x Myrr Pup. These RPWs are up for adoption again over at the RPW Pound, and I have been instructed by the owner of the RPW Pound, Ciphir, to create a topic for them as my forms would be too lengthy to post on the original RPW Pound thread.

If this is in the wrong place, I do apologize, mods, but I didn't know where else to put it. Please move this if it needs to be moved, and thanks in advance if you do this.

Why do I Want Her?
When I first saw Nuria put up for adoption, I squealed with glee. At first, I thought that I'd try for her for sure - after all, I'd tried for Nuria when she was first up for adoption and lost. I still remember feeling crushed that I'd lost her, after working for so many hours on her form with my two friends (it was a jointly-made adoption form, where three different people had to work together to make a crucial part of the form). So, with my mind made up, I went off to try out for Nuria. When I read over her requirements, I realized I'd have to keep her mate, which wasn't a problem for me at all. I spent a few hours looking up information I wanted to incorporate into Nuria's form - almost all of it Pokemon-related - and finally realized that my ideas for Nuria wouldn't work at all. After spending time and energy on that just to get to a dead end, I felt very disappointed, and I threw in the towel. I figured that at that point in time, it just must not have been meant to be.
I then looked into Myrrddin, her powerful and neat mate. While I wasn't attracted to his design at first, I looked into the character that SoulfireWolf had created. I found myself intrigued, and wondered if I'd try out for him later. Then I looked at the other lovely RPW SoulfireWolf donated, Ginerva. Now, I loved her creative design, but there was just this disconnect. I couldn't seem to really relate to the RPW, and couldn't find any common ground between us. With all of my characters, even the most dastardly ones, there is something that draws me to them in the first place, something that intrigues me. If there's a disconnect between a character and myself, I don't try out for them, no matter how much I might like their design. So, when I felt the connection fizzle out between myself and Ginerva, well, I gave up on her.
Thinking that I wouldn't find anyone and deciding I'd be content to sit by and watch this round proceed without taking place, well, that's when I realized I hadn't reached the bottom of the list of RPWs. I then remembered that there was another wolf that SoulfireWolf had donated: the child of Myrrddin and Nuria. The moment I clicked on the link to her ref, I felt a spark. I felt a connection the moment I looked at this spunky girl. Just looking at her, I felt a joy well up inside of me. I felt this immense, unmistakable happiness grow within me. The longer I looked at her the more I fell in love with her messy hair, her gorgeous color palette, her amazing tail, her lovely accessories, her sweet dark grey paws, the small speckles of light on top of her darker fur, and her absolutely amazing eyes. Everything about her spoke to my heart, and drew me in. Looking at her, I thought of one of my favorite songs: We Are the Brave by VERIDIA. This was what sparked my inspiration for her characterization. I was going to make this RPW the bravest one I'd ever met. I was going to have this little one be braver than any of my full-grown RPWs. I was going to make her more fearless than Fiado, my Marine Corps RPW. I was going to make her more determined than Azlyn, my chef RPW. I was going to make her as kick-butt as Balto, my underdog RPW. This RPW would be the bravest of them all. She would be something I personally would look to to remind me that no matter what comes your way, you can be brave. You can overcome your circumstances and get a better life for yourself if you don't give up. Vera would remind me that no matter what I have to deal with, no matter what I've been through, I can still persevere and overcome if I have enough determination, guts, and moxie.
And with that, I began work on Vera's form.

What Will I do With Her?
Well, first off, she'll get a spot on my Weebly character website. What I haven't told people is that I'm seriously considering copying a portion of my website and branching out, creating an entirely new website. For what? My RPWs! :) This would be a heck of a lot easier to deal with for me in terms of coding and other stuff, but even with copying a portion of the website I currently have, it would take a LOT of work. I mean, just, TONS of time to deal with. Now, I'm not one to back down from a challenge, and this idea has been bouncing around in my head for awhile. So, if I ever decide to do this, she'd no longer have a spot on my Weebly character website, but she WOULD have her own place on the new website! ;) More on this will come later, though, once I decide what I'm doing. For now, let's say that whatever I decide to do, I will make absolutely certain that she will have her own page where she can stay, and where I can keep art of her and the information I will write up regarding her. She will always have a spot in my heart, of course, and because of this, I want to do my absolute best to provide for her a place where she can reside comfortably, and where I can access her information easily. Be that on my current Weebly site or another one, only time will tell. For now, she'll get a spot on my Weebly site, of course - in the future, she might be moved from there to my new, better site.
Now, what else will I do with this sweetheart? If you haven't guessed by now, I love to draw, even though I personally don't think much of my abilities in this field. I prefer to sketch traditionally, and nearly every character I have has at least one piece of artwork done by me traditionally, and some of my more frequently-used characters - such as my fursona, Rocktalon - have a TON of pieces, most of which aren't even uploaded to my character website yet due to time constraints on my part. I sketch all the time - in between classes at my school (this happens FREQUENTLY), during boring lectures at my school (which thankfully don't happen frequently), and during church (this happens on a once-a-week basis). I greatly prefer my digital artwork style to my traditionally-drawn artwork style, but digital art work takes a LOT longer for me to do than sketches. Sketches take enough time as it is - having to do digital artwork takes at least five times as long. Now, the rewards are nicer, but more stress-inducing on my part. Being a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to my art, if I'm not happy with it, it gets scrapped and never seen again. I'll redo the entire project if I'm not happy with it. And with traditional art, this can take awhile. With digital art, it takes even longer. I'm not complaining at all - I'm merely explaining why I have so much traditional art compared to the little amount of digital art I have. I love digital art - it's just more time-consuming on my part. And with a hectic college schedule where I'm usually overloaded with classes (according to the college, a certain number of units is normal; when you're overloaded, you're over the recommended number of units per school semester), I don't always have the time to be sitting down to create wonderful digital art pieces. So, should I win her, I will be mainly drawing her traditionally. These drawings will be uploaded to my Weebly character site - or other site, should I ever get it up and running properly - whenever I can find the time to upload them from my camera and digitally crop them.
Now, just because I don't have time to draw her doesn't mean that others won't. :) One of my friends on here, fauxfawn, is an AMAZING artist. I order from her every once in awhile, when she's open. She's done art of my RPWs before, and I ADORE her work. So, if I do win Vera, rest assured that she'll get art, be it from me or ordered from other users.
On top of all this, I love writing. I'll be sure to incorporate Vera into my other RPW stories, and I'll write about her in whatever free time I have. I adore writing, so you can be sure I'll be writing up something about her, be it as simple as a Q&A or something as complex as a full-blown action/adventure story. And with an RPW as adventurous as Vera, I'm sure there will be plenty to talk about. ;)

Female

Body Type:
Height: N/A (she's not done growing yet)
Build: N/A (she's not done growing yet)
Size: Moderate/Medium (neither small-boned nor big-boned)
Skinny or Fat? Neither - she's average, and building muscle currently, so while her weight may be a little odd, it's only because her body is growing accustomed to having muscle instead of fat.

Romantic and Sexual Orientation:
Heteroromantic Asexual

Family:
Father - Myrrddin
Mother - Nuria

Theme Songs:
Vocal - We Are the Brave - VERIDIA
Instrumental - Imagining - Deemo - Brian Crain

Favorite Soundscape:
Spaceship - Preset: Engine Control Room

Occupation:
While she's a little young to have a true job, Vera does count working out as something she works at. She started with running and jogging, and then worked her way up to learning unarmed martial arts - particularly Jujutsu, Hapkido, and Savate. Having finished her training in Jujutsu, she is still continuing her studies in Hapkido and Savate, on top of deciding to take on Boxing. Very determined to do well in everything she does, Vera is certain she'll do excellently at whatever physical job she may need to perform, be that now, with the training she's gotten so far, or later on in life, when she has more experience and training under her belt.

Hobby:
Trekkie
With a penchant for all things Star Trek-related, Vera is definitely a Trekkie. In any free time that she has, she can usually be found in front of the television, watching reruns. She adores Star Trek, and truly feels a pull towards certain characters - most notably, the loner Q, whom she's told many she personally relates to on many levels. If you hate on this character in her presence, she'll probably kick you out of her house. Now, just because she has a certain fondness for a character in TNG doesn't mean that she's against watching other series. She's open to watching any Star Trek series, be it The Original Series (TOS), The Animated Series (TAS), The Next Generation (TNG), Deep Space 9 (DS9), Voyager, or Enterprise. She's seen every Star Trek movie in existence (including the newer ones), and she adores each and every one of them. She plans on sharing this love of Star Trek with whatever friends she makes in the future, and if they aren't willing to accept this important part of her life, she's told herself that she'll refuse their friendship.

Medical Issue(s):
  • Two Healed Front Legs. Vera once broke both of her front legs after a particularly intense battle in one of her martial arts classes. The other student was expelled, and she was sent to the hospital with not much hope of recovering fully. With her determination and fast-healing body, Vera was well in no time and was back to fighting once again. Her front legs might hurt every once in awhile, particularly in colder weather, but there are no noticeable deformities in her front legs, though one small scar can be seen and felt on each posterior portion of both of her front legs from the surgery needed to set the bones back to their correct state.

Powers?
SoulfireWolf wrote:Acid is also being taught alongside his adoptive sister how to cast magic and create potions and such. However he can't seem to get it quite right and always seems to be outdone by [Vera]. It's rather annoying actually, she seems to have been born with the skills in his opinion and it gives her an unfair advantage. He constantly strives to be better yet she is constantly proving him wrong and he doesn't exactly like it. Of course it's not exactly easy being adopted, at least for him, and being beaten by his little sister was rather hard on him.

Vera doesn't have powers, but her father has been trying teaching her and her adoptive brother to cast spells and create potions. She does very well at potion-making, but has never been good at the magic part. She doesn't mind much, though, and enjoys spending this time with her father and adoptive brother.

Long Personality:
Vera is often seen as unruly and disrespectful. She isn't really - she just happens to roll her eyes a lot. She also gets annoyed a heck of a lot more than most RPWs her age. She is extremely intelligent and gifted for her age, and feels as if the general age-group that she's stuck in doesn't really appreciate her brilliance. In this way, she can seem conceited and "holier-than-thou," but this isn't really her fault. She truly is smarter than the average RPW her age - but this doesn't give her any right to lord it over anyone else. While she realizes this as one of her faults, she still is working on no longer continuing this bad behavior.

Vera tends to be very harsh in her language choices. A black-and-white RPW, she sees things as they truly are, and has no delusions that her fellow RPWs may have pertaining to how cruel life can be. She can often be heard insulting others, and thinks very poorly of those that don't stand with her. In her mind, if you don't stand with her, you stand against her. Very quick to lash out at others if angry, this aspect of Vera's personality just makes others think poorly of her. Vera knows she has anger issues, and tries to take them out on inanimate objects, like punching bags. She's very energetic and active, and loves to work out and train in martial arts and other exercises, such as running, jogging, and boxing. She wants to become strong enough to never be messed with by older RPWs again in the future, and is training now to become stronger later on. A self-proclaimed "adrenaline junkie," Vera loves to feel her heart rate increase and her body preparing to fight or run for it. She adores feeling that rush of excitement and thrill, such as one feels when riding a roller coaster. Because of this, Vera pushes herself into situations that might not be the most advisable - she'll voluntarily fight older RPWs that are stronger or more experienced than she is in fighting just because she wants to feel that rush and that excitement, feeling the adrenaline coursing through her veins. Because of this, she can make stupid decisions - but there is one good thing to be said about this: she always gets herself out of whatever she gets herself into, even if she gets out bruised and feeling awful. She understands that choices have consequences, and she willingly pays up every time she does something wrong.

This RPW doesn't need to go to any self-help seminars anytime soon - Vera has an excellent view of herself, and looks at herself in a very positive light. When asked if there was anything she hated about herself, she honestly would respond that she was perfect, and didn't need to change anything about her physical appearance. Her personality, she'd admit, is a little on the rougher side, so that she'd definitely tell you needs to be worked on a bit - but other than that, she really doesn't self-depreciate. She builds herself up instead of tearing herself down, and seems to have all the confidence in the world.

This pup might be small, but that doesn't stop her from rocking out to her favorite tunes. Something interesting about her is that she'll only listen to three genres: soundtrack, rock music, and metal. She doesn't care what kinds of music she listens to, so long as they fall under those three categories. Intense music for an intense RPW, Vera believes that her music is representation of herself and what she stands for - and she wouldn't be too far off in her calculations. A serious RPW, this pup isn't easily amused, and can rarely be seen laughing at others jokes. She'll smile just as frequently as she wants to, but laughing? That's something she really doesn't do much. She just doesn't seem to find anything funny - she really does not have the best sense of humor, and absolutely loathes jokes that make fun of others, even if they're done with a clearly-intended joking manner. Vera takes most everything literally, so most jokes are honestly just lost on her.

If Vera is anything, she is brave. Courageous to a fault, she's willing to throw caution to the wind and race into whatever danger might be staring her down. She honestly has no fear of anything - she is the true definition of fearless. Stubbornness can be a downfall, and for Vera, it definitely is. When she's put her mind to doing something seemingly stupid - say, for example, her trying to beat up a fully-grown RPW to prove that she's not the weakling that RPW has accused her of being - she will not budge and will refuse to listen to anyone, even if that being is one of her parents or her BFF, Avarice. Stubbornness, can, of course, also be a good thing. If she's put into a situation where most would buckle under peer pressure, Vera doesn't bat an eyelash. Vera is most certainly not easily persuaded, that's for sure. She'll sit through yelling and screaming from her attackers, but will still refuse to give up what she holds to be true. Vera doesn't seem to have any fears - except, of course, when it comes to her family members and her one close friend, Avarice. In regard to these four RPWs, if they are ever in trouble, Vera will drop everything and run to help them before herself. For them and them only, she feels fear. She fears that she'll lose them, and be left all alone in the world, without a soul to care for her. This is because, underneath her hard exterior, she really does have a heart of gold - even if she still isn't the most mature RPW on the block. She knows she has a long way to go, maturity-wise - but that fact doesn't faze her at all. Being the determined RPW that she is, she plans on taking life by the horns and staring it down until she conquers it. She won't take losing to something she knows she can beat.

Nuria
Mother
Vera thinks highly of both of her parents. Nuria always helps Vera in everything that she wants to do, and will only tell her to stop doing something if it's a big deal. Vera appreciates that Nuria lets her do most anything she wants, though will still be there if she gets into massive trouble to lend a listening ear and helping paw. She adores both of her parents, and Vera counts herself lucky to be the child of such an awesome RPW as Nuria. Sometimes her mother will not understand things that Vera does - particularly her listening to such a "ruckus" of music, as Nuria calls it - but these things she'll let slide, as long as Vera isn't harming herself or anyone else. Vera likes hanging out with her mom, and while she might not want to be around her 24-7, Vera still loves and appreciates her mother for all that she's done for her. She hopes one day to be able to pay her back for all the nice things she's done for Vera throughout her short life.

Myrrddin
Father
Vera looks up to her father very much. She loves him very much, and appreciates how he's always been there to both play with her and listen to her when she needs to rant. His advice is very good and sound, and Vera nearly always takes his advice into consideration when making a large decision in her life. She loves learning how to make potions with him, and counts this a one of her favorite points her week. She might not always understand her father's quiet ways, but she still gets along very well with him nevertheless, and has sworn to always love him, no matter what happens. She appreciates all he's done for her, and has tried her best to be a good student to him as a means of paying him back, and showing her appreciation.

SoulfireWolf wrote:Vera;
Now despite how he feels about Nuria and Myr, he has to admit he loves his spunky little sister. She's always been there to both bug him and give him someone to rant to. She's always taken his side so long as she gets to be a part of whatever plan. These two aren't a normal brother and sister, they almost never fight unless she starts to show off with her good potion making skills. Other than that the two protect one another, fight for one another, and most of all trust one another dearly. These two will always be close, or so they hope. They vowed to never grow distant no matter what happens.

Acidium
Adoptive Brother
Vera was very close to her adoptive brother before he moved away. She was able to hang out with him and have fun - he was practically the only RPW who was ever willing to just hang out with her, and for that she appreciated her older brother. When he moved out, Vera was distraught for months, missing the only brother she'd known. Now she's over it, and really doesn't care if Acid comes back into her life - she counts him as a traitor, going against his vow to not grow distant with her. She wants no part of him unless he's willing to apologize and stick around, which really doesn't seem like a likely choice he'll make.

Avarice
Best Friend
When her brother left her, Vera felt a hole in her heart that needed to be filled. She found that fulfillment in a slightly-older teen RPW, Avarice. She met him at school, where he showed great promise in creating candies - particularly candy canes. Vera got along with Avarice almost instantly, what with his chatty and polite personality. They also have similar tastes in music, so this was another thing Vera loved to talk with him about. Vera would never admit it to anyone, but she has a slight crush on Avarice. Now, this doesn't mean she wants to act out on this crush - she just feels a pull towards him that she's never felt around any other RPW. Ultimately, she knows Avarice is much older than her, so she knows it will probably never work between them, and she's pushed it out of her mind to focus on their friendship instead. She and Avarice get along like two peas in a pod - while they definitely have their differences, these things don't seem to matter to Vera, as she gets along just fine with her BFF, Avarice.

Gold wrote:"Er" for short, often referred to as "Er-head," because she definitely acts like one sometimes. She's much newer and is lacking a bit in development. But I imagine she'll have a short temper. She's not hateful, and doesn't hold grudges. But if someone says something she finds offensive/ignorant, she snaps before she's able to really think. However, she's quick to apologize and make amends when her brain catches up to her. Always speaks what's on her mind, has no filter, whether good or potentially bad comments.

Eris
Good Friend
Vera loves being around Eris. While she's not a BFF, Eris is definitely a good friend to Vera. With her non-hateful, not-holding-grudges type of personality, Vera gets along with her very well. And, with a short temper, Vera might have to be careful what she says around Eris if she doesn't want a fight, but if a fight ever does happen, Vera can count on Eris to apologize appropriately, and relatively quickly. Vera appreciates that Eris is someone she can go to for an honest opinion, as she blurts out whatever she's thinking. If Vera ever needs feedback on anything, she'll generally go to Eris, the only RPW she knows who will give her a blunt and truthful - and possibly insulting - answer.

Gold wrote:She's the kind of girl who listens to obscure music and shops at thrift stores. She prefers to hang out in larger groups, unless she knows you well. She's the life of the party, she just has ridiculous comebacks for every situation. She considers herself fluent in sarcasm and social affairs. She's not afraid to talk to anyone, and can often be found chatting up someone sitting alone or butting in on a conversation she overhears. She has an intolerance for intolerance, and will hold grudges if she sees you as a judgemental person. Sometimes this leads her to judge others a bit too quickly, which makes forming close one-on-one relationships a bit more difficult, despite her large social circle.

Piper
Friend
Vera really enjoys being around Piper. She gets along very well with the older RPW, and counts her as one of her very few friends in this world. Piper is a lot like Vera, what with her judging personality and sarcastic, witty comments to most anyone who has ears to listen to her speak. Vera, while she doesn't hang around Piper as much as she'd like, still does enjoy hanging around this awesome RPW, so full of confidence that it seems to drip from the very words she speaks.

Gold wrote:A gentle giant, loves giving and receiving pet names....He's very loving and trusting, to a fault, even. He falls very fast and very hard for others. Sometimes others get scared off by what they perceive to be 'clingy' behavior, which has cost him a few friendships. However, the ones he's held on to are very near and dear to him. He doesn't mean to overwhelm or scare off others, but he just doesn't like to exclude or neglect his friends. Very outdoorsy and active. He's very affectionate as well and always gives big bear hugs when greeting old friends. Classic example of the guy next door.

Theodore
Semi-Friend
Vera does enjoy hanging around Theodore when he is in one of his outdoorsy moods, and when he's just as active as Vera she loves exercising with him and her mother, but she dislikes how clingy and huggy he is, and would honestly prefer if he wasn't so attached to his friends. Vera completely understands waning to be near to those you love, but to cling to them so tightly, well, Vera just doesn't get it.

fauxfawn wrote:Tropica is named for her bright colored fur and paint, but also for her affinity for tropical locations. She is definitely a beach goer, wherever there is sand, the sea and sunshine, you with find this wolf girl. She works with beach management to stay close to her passion. You can find her helping life guards manage their schedules, helping tourist find the nearest hotels, and coordinating watersports and beach events. Most of the time, she is competing in the events herself! She is outgoing and carefree, even when the job gets tough and the budget gets cut. As long as the ocean is nearby, she can't become frazzled.

Tropica
Acquaintance
Vera doesn't know Tropica very well, but from what she can gather from the brightly-colored wolf in the short time she's known her, Vera likes her very much. Vera loves her easy-going personality and hard-work drive, and enjoys hanging around her whenever she goes to the beach.

Ton-Ton
Unknown Relationship
Vera doesn't know Ton-Ton at all. She just knows he exists, honestly. She sometimes sees him, lurking in shadows in the hallways in her school, but has never bothered to go over and introduce herself. She hopes one day to get to know this mysterious RPW better, as she really does think he looks sweet.

Why do I Want Her?
When I first saw Nuria put up for adoption, I honestly couldn't believe my eyes. I squealed with glee. I knew I'd try for her - after all, I'd tried for Nuria when she was first up for adoption and lost.
So, why try again?
After nearly finishing Vera's form, I realized that I had actually started to formulate some ideas for characterization for her parents, Nuria and Myrrddin. I looked once again at Nuria's beautiful design, and found myself drawn to her yet again. I still love her, after all this time. Her gorgeous red eyes, lovely pale orange fur, and amazingly bright and yellow tail and hair all speak to me - they really show how beautiful she is. And, while I do get the sense that she can be very calm around her child, I get the distinct feeling that she would change at the drop of a hat if her child were ever in danger. This, along with what I all ready previously mentioned, is why I decided to try out for Nuria...for the second time.

What Will I do With Her?
So, I basically said everything above in Vera's post, but I do love to draw. In terms of preference, I prefer to sketch traditionally, and nearly every character I have has at least one piece of artwork done by me traditionally. And with a hectic college schedule where I'm usually overloaded with classes, I don't always have the time to be sitting down to create wonderful digital art pieces. So, should I win her, I will be mainly drawing her traditionally. These drawings will be uploaded to my Weebly character site - or other site, should I ever get it up and running properly - whenever I can find the time to upload them from my camera and digitally crop them.
Now, just because I don't have time to draw her doesn't mean that others won't! One of my friends on here, fauxfawn, is an AMAZING artist. I order from her every once in awhile, when she's open. She's done art of my RPWs before, and I ADORE her work. So, if I do win Nuria, rest assured that she'll get art, be it from me or ordered from other users.
On top of all this, I'm sure you'll see later in this form that I love writing. I'll be sure to incorporate Nuria into my other RPW stories, and I'll write about her in whatever free time I have. I adore writing, so you can be sure I'll be writing up something about her, be it as simple as a Q&A or something as complex as a full story. And with an RPW as awesome as Nuria, I'm sure I'll do just fine writing something up. ;)

Child - Vera

Theme Songs:
Vocal - Renegade - Cimorelli and Someday - Måns Zelmerlöw
Instrumental - World on Fire - Les Friction

Occupation and Hobby:
Pokemon Trainer
Nuria's profession isn't the easiest to deal with. She holds the title of Pokemon Trainer. Having left home in her teens to pursue her dream with only a Pokédex and her first Pokemon, Matilda, Nuria excelled and showed great promise to becoming a better trainer than most. While she's followed her dream and trained hard her entire life, her job isn't all sunshine and roses. The main issue with this line of work is that this job doesn't make much money. Another problem is trying to schedule your busy home-life around this particular job...if a line of work that pays little to nothing can really be called as such. Nuria always has Poké Balls on her, ready to catch any Pokemon she finds running about, but Nuria is now more focused on her home-life, and not her Pokemon-life. While she keeps all of her badges - both old and new - in a lovely wooden and glass case in her bedroom, displaying them on the wall proudly to show her accomplishments, Nuria prefers to care for the Pokemon she has now and for her family, and will only go to work when absolutely necessary. She does still enjoy her work, and really does become happy when going to work, but she has come to realize that her family is more important than her own needs and wants, so she has logically cut down this hobby of hers to be less prominent in her current life.

Medical Issue(s):
  • Hydrophobia - The fear of water. Nuria hates water, and will do her best to not get wet in every situation. In Summer, she refuses to go to the beach or the pool. She will not partake in water balloon fights, and will only bathe once a month. She loathes water, and won't drink it, either. She'll stick to other juices or beverages, such as coffee and orange juice.
  • Pyromania - Individuals with this impulse-control disorder recurrently fail to resist impulses to deliberately start fires. While this impulse has grown less with age, Nuria still struggles with this impulse-control disorder. Her Pokemon keep her in check if her husband can't, so she hasn't started a fire in years - but that doesn't mean she doesn't struggle with the longing to do so every so often.

'Someday' by Måns Zelmerlöw wrote:We're like fire and gasoline in the final movie scene.
You're the beauty, I'm the beast...
More a nightmare than a dream.
And we've made enough mistakes,
We should probably walk away;
'Cause it always ends the same...
With us bursting into flames.

Romeo and Juliet in a different silhouette;
You're the problem, I'm the mess...
You go right when I go left.

Powers?
Nuria doesn't have any powers. She is a pyromaniac, however, and other RPWs have thought that she had fire powers for this reason - but Nuria truly doesn't have any powers.

Short Personality:
Kind
Sweet
Caring
Active
Loving
Patient
Energetic
Protective
Determined
Opinionated
Independent
Easily-Irritated
Helping-Nature
Not a Doormat
Compassionate
Loyal to the Core
Always On the Go
Doesn't Tolerate Abuse or Bullying
Dances to the Beat of Her Own Drum
Talkative Around RPWs She's Familiar With
Will Prove That She Can Do Anything She Puts Her Mind To

Long Personality:
Nuria is determined and stubborn to a fault. When she gets her mind onto something, she doesn't let it go. While this is great when she's battling someone or wanting to get work done, it also can have its downfalls. Often, when she gets a negative thought into her head or an old bad memory pops up, it won't leave her. It will latch onto her memory and recycle itself, repeating on an endless loop until Nuria finally finds something else to think about, or someone suggests something to her to get her mind off of whatever it is that plagues her.

Generally patient, Nuria does have her easily-irritable moments. She has gotten more irritable with age, but because she's also matured, she has learned how to keep her more volatile emotions under lock and key. They really only peek out when someone is being rude or catty or unnecessarily uncivilized, and if the being is annoying or bothersome enough, Nuria will snap and attack him or her, particularly if he or she has threatened any one of Nuria's family members. If you hurt her family, nothing will hold her back from attacking instantly. Her 'mother bear' side comes out in times like this, and her normally calm and patient attitude disappears completely.

Nuria doesn't care much about what others think of her - unless they're family, of course. She dances to the beat of her own drum, and does what she feels is right in every circumstance she comes across. This could be due to her stubbornness and determination, but it could also be attributed to the fact that she knows what she believes and why she believes it. She is strong in what she feels is right, and will not back down from her stance unless she is absolutely 100% proven incorrect.

Energetic and active, Nuria seems to always be doing something, be that cleaning the house, training her Pokemon, or carting her child wherever the young one wants to go. Nuria, being caring by nature, seems to use her energy, time, and money on others, and rarely on herself. She does have her moments, however, like when she went out and bought an entire set of photographs of fire...or that time she went and purchased an entire set of fire-colored books. She will splurge on herself from time to time, but most of the time she'll focus on other beings, like her Pokemon and her family. Now, that's not to say she's a doormat - if Nuria really does need something, she'll speak up and get it. If something needs to be done and someone is hindering her from doing it, she'll move and get whatever needs to be done completed. She won't stand and just take abuse, and will speak up if she knows someone is hurting another being. She can't stand bullying - not after what happened to her as a child - and will stick up for whomever needs sticking up for in any case of bullying. She will not tolerate these things, and will not hesitate to raise her voice about them.

Never one to rely upon others, Nuria is very independent and prefers to take care of herself. If worse comes to worst, Nuria can fend for herself, as she knows how to get food and could easily fall back on her not-so-well-paying job. While she knows this would impact her entire life in a somewhat negative way, she understands that if she needed to do this, she would do this. Being independent, Nuria knows how to weigh her options and make the correct decisions. While most would think of her as weak because of her quiet nature, Nuria can make her own choices and can figure out quite quickly the way things need to be done.

If someone's annoying her, Nuria's calm and sweet demeanor will wash away in seconds. Nuria won't hesitate to snap and yell at the other RPW, particularly if she's all ready told them once or twice to stop whatever it is they're doing. In this regard, Nuria hasn't changed much from her previous disposition, but at least she's not like this 24-7. Nuria does her best to keep her temper under control, and does very well at this on most days - but on bad ones, you'd do best to not tick her off, unless you want her becoming angry with you.

Sweet, kind, and loving, Nuria has always had a sensitive side most would never have guessed she had. Most RPWs judge her by her scary appearance, what with her bushy fur, fluffy tail, and sclera-less eyes; they refuse to speak with her because they think of her as frightening and not loving, as she truly is. While she can resent being shunned by the majority of the society in which she resides, she knows that ultimately, those that are willing to speak with her on a civilized level are beings she truly wishes to be around. After getting stabbed in the back in her childhood by her closest friend, she set out of her home with a Pokemon, changed from her previously-loud-mouthed ways into a quiet little girl. This quietness eventually gave way to a patient attitude within her, and has made her the RPW she is today. While she despises that she had to learn about heartbreak so early on as a child, she appreciates that it's made her into a much better RPW today. She once was harsh and angry at the world, but when she realized that being angry at everyone only pushed others away, she chose a different route. While this route took years to walk down, she's finally reached a point where she can look back and see how she's improved. And right now, she likes her current self a heck of a lot better than her old self.

Myrrddin
Mate
Nuria loves Myrrddin with her entire heart and soul. She couldn't imagine loving anyone more than her husband, and absolutely adores him with her entire being. She may love her Pokemon a whole lot, and would rather die than see them hurt - but she loves her mate and child far more than she'll ever love her Pokemon. Her mate is her entire world - when she saw how her Pokemon reacted to Myrr upon first meeting him, she knew instantly that he was the one. He was the one RPW that she was meant to be with for her whole life. When she realized this, she quite literally dropped everything to be with him. She spent every hour by his side, helping him deal with his emotional trauma that he carried throughout the years. She became a caring individual because of him - without Myrrddin in her life, Nuria would never have become such a loving, kind RPW as she is today. She will love Myrr forever.

Vera
Daughter
Nuria loves her daughter wholeheartedly. She would fight 'til the death for those that she loves, and Vera definitely falls into this category. Nuria can be a protective mother, but thankfully not overprotective. Nuria, while she can be a guardian for her pup, allows Vera to make her own choices in life. Otherwise, how else will Vera learn to do things? How will the pup ever understand how the world works, and how we all receive consequences for our actions? Nuria teaches Vera all that she knows, and she makes sure to keep their relationship good and open. She would prefer for Vera to tell her everything than to be one of those parents that is so strict that they scare their child into never speaking about anything. Nuria also hangs out with her daughter frequently, as both tend to be interested in the same exercising regiment. Nuria loves spending time with her daughter, and does her best to provide for her, and to give her the opportunities she wasn't given until later in life. Nuria wants what is best for her daughter, and she will do everything in her power to make sure Vera is getting what she needs.

SoulfireWolf wrote:One day Acid came home to find his adoptive father with a female wolf who called herself Nuria. He hated her from day one, slowly the attention he had from Myr was taken away. A few years later they were married, and eventually had a daughter. Acid despises Nuria, as she was the one to start this. He would commonly act quite rotten to her, although she never seemed to care much. From pranks to downright rude actions he was never a nice guy towards her.

Nuria;
These two are polar opposites, nothing good has ever came from these two meeting one another. Whether Acid is spitting his venomous words at her or she's snapping back at him these two get along as well as water and oil. They'll be among one another but never mix. Acid won't even give Nuria the time of day (or night) when it comes to spendjg family time. He finds her a cancer to his family, unfortunately. He can't seem to get rid of her, and she always comes back twice as annoying. He hates it and wishes she would go away so life would return to how it used to be.

Acidium
Adoptive Son
While Nuria might have been annoyed and disappointed in Acid's behavior towards her, she never knew how to approach the pup about it, so she just let it slide. She did her best to ignore him and his childish antics, focusing on her mate and biological child instead. After all, if Acid didn't want to get to know her better, who was she to demand he get along with her? She would often be as kind as she could to him - and even though she might have appeared weak to the average passer-by, she really was plotting how to make Acid realize the error of his ways. She never succeeded in this, though, and then moved on to fighting back. While she tried her best to be civilized, Acid refused to show such a courtesy to her. This is when she became a bit vindictive, and she started trying to prank him back, yelling at him whenever he'd come too close to her child...she was worried he'd take his antics too far and harm her family. Eventually he left, and she thankfully no longer has to deal with his bad attitude.

Avarice
Vera's Best Friend
Nuria appreciates Vera finding a better friend in life than Acid. She was honestly a bit afraid Acid would have been a bad influence on her child. She counts Avarice as a much better choice, as she has a feeling the young wolf loves Vera just as much as he would a family member. Avarice is very polite and punctual, and while he does listen to the racket that her daughter does, Nuria appreciates all Avarice has done to help Vera through a difficult time in her life. Nuria doesn't hate Avarice at all - in fact, she quite adores the little candy-making wolf, and is very happy to welcome him into her life.

fauxfawn wrote:Tropica is named for her bright colored fur and paint, but also for her affinity for tropical locations.

Tropica
Friend
Nuria loves hanging around Tropica. This RPW is so lively and carefree that Nuria can always find a smile on her face when she's around. While Nuria wishes Tropica was a larger part of Vera's life, what with all of her good personality traits and potential to be a great role-model for the young pup, Vera just isn't as close to Tropica as Nuria is. Ultimately, Nuria counts herself blest to have Tropica as one of her few friends in life, and loves spending time with her whenever she has a few hours of free time.

Eris
Friend
Nuria does enjoy being around Eris, when the RPW isn't throwing one of her hissy fits in one of her rages from her short temper. Thankfully these hissy fits, while they happen more frequently than Nuria would prefer, are generally short and over with soon. And Eris does always apologize about her behavior, and owns up to her mistakes. This is something Nuria 100% appreciates, as she believes that this aspect will instill within Vera things her child will need to know later on in life. On a personal note, Nuria does like being around Eris - the RPW, while easily-angered, does have her lovely qualities. Nuria does greatly enjoy hanging around her, and will often spend a few hours of her day conversing with Eris, if she has the time to do so.

Theodore
Acquaintance
Nuria loves Theodore's outgoing personality, as he is usually the only one she can hang around and go exercising with other than her daughter. He happens to be a little clingy, and this did cause some issues with Myrrddin when Nuria introduced him to Theodore. Myrrddin thought Theodore was stealing his girlfriend, but when he finally realized that was how Thedore was with everyone, he backed down. Nuria still likes to go out exercising with Theodore, but after the misunderstanding between him and Myrrddin, she has done her best to distance herself from the too-clingy RPW.

Piper
Acquaintance
Nuria didn't get off on the right foot with Piper. She really isn't sure how to feel about the RPW, except for few things she knows she does appreciate: Piper, while being very judgmental of others, does have a sweet heart, even if its not seen very easily on the surface. She's intolerant of intolerance, and that's another thing Nuria likes about her. Other than that, however, she'd honestly prefer that Vera not get too heavily involved with Piper, as she believes the older RPW may be a bad influence on her child.

Why do I Want Him?
When I first set eyes on this guy, I have to be honest with you - I wasn't attracted to him in the least. Certainly, his color palette is nice and all, but I just didn't feel a spark of connection. I began work on Vera's form, looking every so often at her father and mother so I knew where she came from and would thus be able to better create a good form for her. Once I finished Vera's form, I read it over and began the story (seen below). I then went back to the kennels and decided to search for any other RPWs that I might have wanted to try out for, and my gaze fell on Nuria first. When I read that she had to stay mated with her current mate, Myrrddin, I filled out the basics of a form for Nuria and then looked for her mate. I set eyes on Myrr, and still wasn't hugely impressed. I didn't hate him in the least - I just didn't feel the immediate connection I did with Nuria and Vera. So, I looked into the character SoulfireWolf had created in Myrrddin. I saw the art that SoulfireWolf created for the character. Suddenly, I fell in love with him. Certainly, there were massive aspects of his personality I disliked and planned on changing, as were some other major portions of his overall characterization - but I knew that with him being in the RPW Pound that I could easily fix those things in my form. I then PMed SoulfireWolf for permission to use certain elements of his/her form in my form for Myrr, as I'd fallen in love with particular aspects of his characterization. I promised SoulfireWolf that I'd use my own words as best as I could, and would probably tweak and change things to fit my view of Myrrddin best. SoulfireWolf agreed, allowing me to do this. With my mind made up that I would try for Myrr, I looked once again at his design. I saw what I hadn't before - his color palette fits him perfectly. The markings adorning his body are so lovely and delicate-looking, and aren't what you'd expect to see on a powerful sorcerer. His long hair and extra fluffy tail perfectly fit his overall personality and characterization. Myrrddin is perfect for both me and his family - and how I couldn't see that before was a fault purely of my own. So, with my determined attitude set on trying out for Myrr, I went off to write up an amazing form for him, promising myself that I'd try my best to not only win him, but his mate and child as well.

What Will I do With Him?
So, I basically said everything above in Vera's post, but I do love to draw. I prefer to sketch traditionally, and nearly every character I have has at least one piece of artwork done by me traditionally. Being a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to my art, if I'm not happy with it, it gets scrapped and never seen again. And with a hectic college schedule where I'm usually overloaded with classes, I don't always have the time to be sitting down to create wonderful digital art pieces. So, should I win him, I will be mainly drawing him traditionally. These drawings will be uploaded to my Weebly character site - or other site, should I ever get it up and running properly - whenever I can find the time to upload them from my camera and digitally crop them.
Now, just because I don't have time to draw him doesn't mean that others won't! One of my friends on here, fauxfawn, is an AMAZING artist. I order from her every once in awhile, when she's open. She's done art of my RPWs before, and I ADORE her work. So, if I do win Myrrddin, rest assured that he'll get art, be it from me or ordered from other users.
On top of all this, I'm sure you'll see later in this form that I love writing. I'll be sure to incorporate Myrr into my other RPW stories, and I'll write about him in whatever free time I have. I adore writing, so you can be sure I'll be writing up something about him, be it as simple as a Q&A or something as complex as a full story. And with an RPW as totally rad as Myrrdin, I'm sure I'll do just fine finding something to write about. ;)

Occupation:
Magician
Myrrddin is a professional magician. While he got his start just helping out at children's functions and fooling his friends, he soon honed his skills enough to become very successful. He now has two jobs:
1. Working as a "secret agent" deceiver for the government. This job entails exactly what you'd expect - Myrrddin's job is to go out and fool the enemy in any slightly tense military course of action. While he's not a soldier and prefers not to hurt others, he counts this job as very important, as he's rarely called to do anything in this regard. When he is called in, he knows it's important and that he's not only protecting his family, but his country as well.
2. Teaching magic classes at a local school. Myrrddin spends most of his workdays teaching at a local school, helping young RPWs hone their magical talents. The school is extremely elusive, and will not allow any RPW in who does not show clear magical prowess, so Myrrdin counts it as a blessing to be able to work at such a school where he is paid appropriately for his services. His workdays aren't too awful in terms of hours, and he always comes home cheerful, grateful to see his family at the end of each and every day.

Hobby:
Creating Potions
His love is to take simple ingredients and form something new with them. While he excells at magic and not potion-making, he has at least tried to pass on the few skills he does have in this field onto his children, so as to keep the feeling of being able to create magic alive within them. He hopes that this skill will be passed on from generation to generation, never to be lost in history.

Medical Issue(s):
  • Phobias. Myrrddin has many phobias. He has Claustrophobia (fear of tight spaces), Isolophobia (fear of being alone), Soteriophobia (fear of dependence on others), and an unnamed phobia where he feels the fear of unintentionally hurting someone (this would probably be something like Agliophobia, which is the fear of pain).

'Hard Life' by Brad Paisley wrote:Stop starin' at me.

Everybody feels bad,
And you don't understand,
It's not like I'm alone.

'Cause everyone has battles to fight...
And I don't need your sympathy tonight.

There's a lot I can't do...
But don't be judgin' me.
I'm in a body I hate...
But I have my faith, more then what you see.

Yeah, it's a hard life...
But I'm okay.
If I didn't have this, I wouldn't be who I am today.
And I have lots of friends,
Oh, and I have love.
Yeah, I have a hard life but in some ways everybody does.

What's up With His Paint?
Overall Power:
Manipulating energy around him, as well as taking energy from a variety of sources near to him.

Detailed Explanation:
Myrrddin has the power to manipulate and take energy from his surroundings. This allows him to be able to do a great many things (seen in detail below) and these actions may have positive or negative outcomes, depending upon the action taken. He tends to not do things that have negative outcomes, but will do them if the situation calls for it, even though he detests hurting others and seeing them in pain.

Powers:
Light
This action has entirely positive outcomes. He can bend light energy and use it for many things, such as...
- Trapping it and creating warmth using said trapped light
- Altering his form and shape
- Creating illusions
- Traveling quickly

Shadows
This action has mostly negative outcomes. He can use darkness and shadows for a great deal of things, though doing so can take a toll on his body, though not his mind. If he summoned a shadow creature, he'd be extremely weak, and perhaps wouldn't even be able to stand for very long afterwards - until, of course, his body recuperated. If he chose to use shadow travel, he could potentially pass out for any amount of time up to a month - but this type of travel causes his body to not age. He uses these powers extremely rarely, and will usually only use them in life-or-death situations. The things he can do with this power are...
- Using slight magic, such as small and/or temporary curses, slightly poisoning foods and/or water supplies, etc.
- Summoning shadow creatures at his will
- Dealing with demons
- Shadow travel

Life Force
This action has some positive outcomes and some negative outcomes. He can take the life from any creature or living thing - this can be something as small as a plant, or something as large as an elephant. If absolutely 100% needed, he could also use this power to take life from himself, though he'd never do that unless the situation was dire. Things he can do with this power are...
- Draining the life force from other creatures (this makes them age quicker and may cause death)
- Lengthening his own lifespan (if used on himself)
- Healing both himself and others

Sound
This action has mixed results. Using this power, he can...
- Make others hear voices that aren't real
- Alter the sound of his own voice at will

Grasp
This action has mixed results. If he can help it, he prefers not to use this power, however, as he deems it as "being lazy." Using this power, he can...
- Grab things (like one would be able to grab something with a paw or hand)
- Move things
- Levitate things

Long Personality:
Protective by nature, Myrrddin looks out for his family, and would defend them 'til his dying breath. While Myrr might be a magician, and being deceiving to others is in his job description, the only beings in the universe he is truly open with are his family members. He's quite a deal-striker, and will do his best to protect his family and guard them from danger. When he cannot do this, he feels distraught and torn inside, as if he were less of a wolf and less of a mate and less of a father for not being able to even care for his family.

Quiet and secretive normally, Myrr doesn't say much. However, in his line of work, he has to talk a lot, so he tends to balance out naturally. When he's at work, he speaks for hours on end - when he's at home, he isn't much of a chatterbox. Sometimes, this is for the best. He really does need his alone-time, to be lost in thought and to process what has gone on in his day. Without this alone-time, he will become snappy, rude, and calloused. He will no longer be the sweet RPW that most know him as. Thankfully this has only happened a few times, as most of the time, Myrr can explain to whomever he's around that he just needs a few minutes to breathe, and they give him that space.

Myrrddin hates bright lights and despises having to work in the bright lighting of the schools. This is why at home, he rarely has the lights on in his house. He prefers darker conditions and candlelight to the harsh, bright, not natural light of the fluorescent bulbs he has to be under for most of his work week.

Because he is a magician and has such powerful paint, Myrr tends to be feared by others. He wishes this wasn't so, but nothing he does seems to change the fact that between his powers and his scary appearance, little children are afraid of him. His daughter, Acid, and Avarice are the glaring exceptions to this rule, and he is grateful that he has at least someone in his life who thinks of him as handsome instead of horrifying.

Curious by nature, sometimes Myrrddin gets himself stuck in odd situations. He can usually find a way to get out of them, but on the off chance that he gets himself in a jam where he can't untangle himself, Nuria is always there to lend a helping paw. Unlike the emotionless RPWs that Myrr so very much despises, Nuria is very filled with emotion and helps Myrrddin to open up regarding his more quiet-personality. Without Nuria, Myrr would've become a hermit a long time ago, shutting himself out from the world. Acid was also a very large part in helping Myrrddin cope with the loss of his parents, but Nuria was the final "nail in the coffin" of Myrr's days of emotional distraught. When Nuria came along, Myrrdin came out of his shell. With Acid around, yes, Myrr was a bit more outgoing and he did learn to buck up or get out, but without the sweetness of Nuria and her gentle nature, Myrr would've stayed an immature RPW, concerned only with tricking and pranking others.

Myrr is very intelligent and pays very close attention to detail. If something is off, no matter how small, Myrrddin will notice it. Also good at thinking ahead, Myrr can usually figure out the outcome of an event before that outcome comes to be. This can freak other RPWs out, so Myrrddin does his best to not do this in front of RPWs he doesn't know very well.

A deal-maker and joker by nature, while Myrr isn't all that funny, he laughs wholeheartedly at others' jokes. Myrrddin tends to be serious most of the time, but when he finds something hilarious, he won't hesitate to laugh at it. One thing he found particularly funny was his entire class failing a bet he'd made with them - if over 75% of the class could get an A on a particularly hard exam, Myrr would buy each and every one of them lunch for a week. Only 43% got an A, so they lost the bet. They all then had to pitch in and buy Myrrddin lunch for a week - but not just any lunch; it was lunch from any restaurant that Myrr so chose to eat at. The students made the bet knowing full well the consequences, and they lost anyway. Myrrddin laughed at that for weeks, particularly when any one of his students would remind him of it.

Filled with emotion, Myrr does tend to feel things very intensely. If he's sad, he'll be bawling, crying his eyes out. If he's happy, you'll be able to tell by the large grin on his face. If he's upset, you'll clearly see it because of his lashing tail and grinding teeth. He feels things deeply and harshly - if something goes wrong, he may even throw a slight fit before figuring out what to do next. He isn't fearful by nature, but if something scares him, you'll notice the terror in his eyes. Most of the time he's fairly normal and even-keel, as he's matured past his angsty and anger-filled teen years. He now has the maturity to look at things and not react harshly...though whether he chooses to use this maturity or not is solely up to him and how he's feeling at that given moment. Thankfully, Nuria's always around to lend a helping paw, and she can usually get him to get back on track and focused on what's important. For this, Myrrddin is very grateful for Nuria, and he appreciates all she's done for him.

Nuria
Mate
Myrrddin loves Nuria wholeheartedly and unabashedly. He counts her as his saving grace in life. Without her coming into his life, Myrrddin would have been at least a bit happy living with Acid, but he wouldn't have been the best RPW he could've been without her. Before she came into his life, he often felt sorrow that would overcome him for days on end. While Acid could always cheer him up with a prank or two, Nuria could literally brighten his entire day with just a few words of encouragement. Myrrddin still loves Acid and still counts him as a son, but when Nuria came into his life was when everything changed for Myrrddin. He knew he'd finally found someone who would love him and stick by him forever - and that love is what still burns strong in their relationship today.

Vera
Daughter
Myrr adores his daughter, and loves her with all of his heart. He's always gotten along very well with Vera, and was actually the one to inspire her name. He wanted to name her Veridia or Veridian, but Nuria disagreed, and suggested a different V name instead. So, Myrrddin went off in search of another one, and eventually found Veraria. Nuria wanted it to be smaller and less like her own name, so she suggested Vera. Myrrddin loved the name and agreed to name the baby that. Vera is spunky, and Myrrddin loves her fearless attitude. He has always loved her take-the-bull-by-the-horns attitude, particularly on her stance on taking hold of problems in her life. He couldn't be more proud of his daughter, and will love her forever.

SoulfireWolf wrote:He was found by a cunning wolf that went by the name Myrddin, Myrr for short. Myr wasn't married nor did he have a daughter at the time, so he was quite lonely. Once Myr saw Acid sitting all alone in the forest he couldn't leave him there, so he took him in and raised him as his own. Naturally Myr wanted to name his first son something cool, to him Mortimer was rather bland and in his opinion made him sound like an old man, so he called him acid instead. Acid was quite the little troublemaker, but with Myr that was only natural. The two would go off together and constantly mess with the other wolves that came into the woods until Acid was about 5 years old. On his fifth birthday Myr decided it would be time to teach him magic, as Myr had learned and been using his entire life. Acid took a fascination to Necromancy, no surprise to anyone. Of course Myrr wasn't as experiances in this type, he's more of the illusion and making a deal kind of guy. Naturally Myrr tried to teach him, but couldn't do the job. Myrddin decided it was time to give Acid the box he had kept for years, unsure of what was inside. Acid didn't quite know what to do with it until he found the key in his roo where it had sat there, growing dust for years. He never opened the box, however, in fear of it being similar to the greek myth Pandora's box.

Myrddin;
Myrddin and Acid got along great until Myr got married and had a child. That's when things started to go downhill. Acid grew distant and resentful of them both, although he tried not to show it as Acid needed Myr for both a home and a way to learn magic. Myr didn't seem to interact with Acid much, he knew how resentful Acid was. It was obvious when your envy and anger show. Myr, however, still loves Acid like the son he is to Myr and even if he leaves Myr knows that he tried his best to give Acid a kind and loving home.

Acidium
Adoptive Son
Myrrddin once loved Acid like a son. He took him in, watched over him, and had a great rowdy time with him for five years. But when Acid turned against Myrr and his new family, Myrrddin slowly watched his previously-great relationship with the pup shatter into a million pieces. This broke his heart, but he knew that Acid would make his own choices in life, and allowed him to do so. Sometimes, when you love something, you have to let it go. And that's exactly what Myrr did with Acid. Just because Acid is no longer a part of Myrr's life, however, doesn't mean that Myrrddin will ever forget Acid or stop loving him. Acid will always be Myrr's kid-brother, and nothing will ever change that.

Avarice
Vera's Best Friend
Myrrddin likes Avarice a lot. He appreciates how this young pup will be such a good influence on his daughter, Vera, what with his politeness, punctuality, and rule-following nature. Myrrddin does find it amusing that the pup doesn't speak much, particularly when compared with how frequently Vera talks, but in this regard, Myrr can find something in common with the young wolf. Myrrddin gets along very well with Avarice, and has never thought ill of him. While Avarice was a bit skittish around Myrr when he first was introduced to him, the pup has warmed up to him and loves to watch Myrrddin work on potions and magic, though the young one was not gifted with this talent himself.

fauxfawn wrote:Tropica is named for her bright colored fur and paint, but also for her affinity for tropical locations.

More of a friend to Nuria than to him, Myrrddin merely knows that Tropica exists. He doesn't know her well enough to say if she's a nice RPW or not, but since Nuria adores her, Myrrddin gathers that she must be a pretty sweet gal. He doesn't know if he'll ever get to know her or not, but he's not against the idea at all.

Eris
Unknown Relationship
Myrrddin doesn't really like Eris. She's quite a hothead, even if she does apologize afterwards. He believe she needs more discipline in her life to get her to really stop snapping at everyone. However, he does appreciate that she actually does apologize, as some RPWs will just blow up and never say a word about it again. While he does understand that Eris has some potential to be a good role-model for Vera, he'd honestly prefer to not really be around her very often. Angry RPWs make him angry, and he'd rather be on his best behavior and in the best state of mind he could possibly be in. So, while he doesn't hate Eris, he just doesn't understand why Nuria and Vera enjoy being in her company so constantly.

Piper
Acquaintance
Myrrddin didn't get off on the right foot with Piper. He really isn't sure how to feel about the RPW, except for few things he knows he does appreciate: Piper, while being very judgmental of others, does have a sweet heart, even if its not seen very easily on the surface. She's intolerant of intolerance, and that's another thing Myrrddin agrees with her about. Other than that, however, he'd honestly prefer that Vera not get too heavily involved with Piper, as he thinks the older RPW may be a bad influence on her child. He can appreciate the small, little things Piper does that are good, but other than those small things, he deems most of what Piper does as inappropriate for his child to be doing.

Theodore
Unknown Relationship
When Nuria first introduced Myrrddin to Theodore, Myrrddin thought Theodore was stealing his girlfriend. When he finally realized that was how Thedore was with everyone, he backed down a bit. Nuria still likes to go out exercising with Theodore, but after the misunderstanding between him and Myrrddin, she has done her best to distance herself from the too-clingy RPW. Myrrddin no longer speaks to Theodore, as they are not on the best of terms. He doesn't hate Theodore by any means - he is just very uncomfortable that his wife and child are still hanging around him.

Re: My Form for RPWs #829, #858, and NxM Pup - DO NOT POST!

Postby booklover789 » Sun Feb 07, 2016 10:19 am

Story:

72 hours in the future...
Vera raced ahead, her small paws pounding the ground as she ran, panting. Her eyes narrowed as her breaths came out in gasps. I'm not leaving yet, she thought.
The ground beneath her cracked as another explosion rocked the air she breathed.
A closer explosion shook the very lungs within her chest.
She didn't dare look behind her.
The ground suddenly disappeared beneath her paws.
She grunted with exertion as she flew through the air, pushing off the chunk of asphalt with her back legs and landing hard on her front two back on solid ground, the blades of grass crushed underneath her weight.
She continued to race forward, adrenaline pumping through her system. Exhilaration mixed with fear. Euphoria with horror. She couldn't tell what she was feeling - danger or intrigue? Ecstasy or foreboding? Was she enjoying this, or was she terrified?
The blood roared in her ears.
Without any warning, something tripped her. She stumbled and skidded along the harsh ground, dirt clogging her nostrils and obstructing her vision. She shook her head, sniffling a bit until she could smell. She wiped the grainy substance from her eyes and blinked, the raw, painful feeling burning into her memory. Her orb necklace was threatening to tangle itself around her neck. She knew it wouldn't, but that wasn't what worried Vera most - no, what worried her was that it could fall into the wrong paws. And she wouldn't let that happen.
She was flying through the air again, but not of her own choice. Pain erupted in four of her ribs as she felt the air whoosh past her. She tumbled, head over paws, through the open expanse of nothingness. When she hit the ground, saying that she was winded would be the understatement of the year. She choked, trying to get air into her tired little lungs.
Her necklace was still around her neck. She looked up at the monster. "You don't scare me," she taunted.
The shadow became larger. The RPW looked puny compared to the massive shadow that seemed to swallow her whole.
Vera refused to lose. "You're nothing. I can still beat you." She shakily got to her paws, her lungs heaving as they tried to inhale properly once again.
She looked like something out of a movie - her hair, so normally and neatly pulled back into a ponytail now whipping around her face from the high winds that threatened to tear her claws from the turf; her eyes, burning and angry from dirt and grit that still hadn't gotten out; the glowing necklace, faintly emitting a pale turquoise light in the growing darkness; her fur, scuffed and messy-looking, chunks of it completely missing; and her gaze, hard and determined. She wouldn't break. She refused to.
With a snarl, she leapt forward, facing the beast head-on.

Presently...
"Freak," whispered someone into her ear.
Vera just kept walking, and rolled her eyes, blowing the hair out of them in an upset manner.
Someone tripped her, and she fell directly into a mud puddle. Growling in anger and annoyance, she stood, looked behind her, and honed in on who was to blame for making her fur get dirty. She snarled, leaping forward and snapping at the wolf.
The young RPW had a look of horror in his eyes as he leapt back in fear.
"Don't do that to me ever again," Vera warned, kicking a dirt clod into his face, smiling as it exploded on impact. "Do it again, and you'll not be coming to school for a very, very long time."
The RPW whimpered and then jetted off, tail between his legs.
Vera smiled with pleasure, and then turned, trotting down the dirt hill that led to the waiting area, where all pups her age were stuck at the end of every day, waiting for their parents to pick them up and take them home. At the bottom of the hill was a secluded, grassy area with small benches dotting the landscape every so often. Most RPWs didn't even use the benches, and preferred to run around and play in groups, as they were doing when Vera reached the bottom of the sandy hill. She paused, glanced around, and realized that what had happened every day of her life had happened once again: the other RPW pups were too frightened to mess with her, and they feared trying to spark a friendship with her, so whenever she'd walk in their direction, they'd swiftly go in a different one, leaving Vera all alone. She growled in annoyance, rolling her eyes once again. "All the children here are just too namby-pamby to hang around me. Pshaw. What wimps."

Nuria showed up right on time, punctual as usual. She walked up the dusty road to the school, and soon saw the grassy area the children were playing in. Spotting her child, she smiled sweetly, trotting over to pick her up.
She didn't quite make it.
Another parent pulled her aside, and said in a rather rude tone, "Your child is an outrage!"
"Excuse me?" Nuria said, a puzzled look on her face.
"She kicked a dirt clod at my baby's face!"
Nuria narrowed her eyes in suspicion. "And how old is this baby of yours? Vera's age?"
The other mother frowned, anger clearly creeping into her voice. "What's it to you? Who cares how old my child is? Yours should not be throwing dirt clods! Someone could get hurt!"
Nuria was exasperated with the overprotective parent. "Look, he probably just ticked her off. He deserved whatever he got. She doesn't usually lash out like that, and will only do so when really provoked, okay?"
"Why don't you just buzz off, lady? You know nothing about parenting!"
Nuria took a deep breath, trying her hardest to not lash out in anger. "Might I remind you, ma'am, she gets her easily-irritable nature from me." She paused, figuring out how to say the next sentence. When she'd thought it through, she continued, annoyance making her voice lilt. "And, unlike my daughter, I won't show any mercy to brats who treat us with contempt."
The other mother paled. "You stay away from my little boy!"
"Then you tell him not to mess with my daughter," she threatened. She could feel her blood starting to boil, and knew that if this lady didn't back down, she'd leap forward and attack.
The parent raced off, snatched up her kid, and ran away, yanking him after her.
After a few moments to cool down, Nuria continued to trot forward, once again spotting her child. She smiled in her direction, pleased to see that Vera had made it through another school day successfully.
Matilda popped her head out of the thick fur at the base of Nuria's neck. She leapt atop Nuria's head and looked down into her eyes. "Maaatilda?"
Nuria smiled at the little one's question. "Matilda, I'm not very happy you stowed away - again, I might add - but since you're here, you may go and play with Vera, yes."
The Eevee's eyes lit up, and she leapt down and raced off towards Nuria's daughter. Seeing the young one so full of energy and happiness made Nuria smile. She sighed, getting lost in her memories. I remember holding her for the first time...

Ten years previously....
Nuria raced into the school. "Professor! Professor!"
"Yes?" she asked, turning and looking down at the eager pup.
"My dad told me you called and wanted me to come here! He said you have something for me?"
She smiled, setting the clipboard down and flipping a switch. The room went dark, and four lights shone brightly, illuminating four different Poke Balls sitting on the table. "You have your choice of what I'll be giving you, Nuria. You've shown great promise, and I wish to reward you for your hard work and tireless energy. Choose wisely, for you only get one."
Nuria held her breath in anticipation.
"You have your choice - Charmander, the fire Pokemon; Squirtle, the water Pokemon; Bulbasaur, the grass Pokemon; or Eevee, the normal Pokemon."
Nuria's eyes lit up when she heard the word fire. "I want Charmander!"
"Now, now, think about this carefully, young one," the professor warned. "You need to remember - you can only have one of these four."
Nuria took a deep breath, and walked up to the table. "Could I see what they look like? Can they come out of the balls so I can play with them?"
The professor smiled. "Not unless you plan on keeping all of them."
"Oh," Nuria said dejectedly.
"But I can show you what they look like using this," the professor said, handing Nuria a small orange box with black buttons and a screen. She flipped open the cover and clicked through a few of the buttons, showing the pictures of Charmander, Squirtle, Bulbasaur, and Eevee. "This is a Pokedex. It contains information about Pokemon we know of currently. What you need to do with your Pokemon is find others and store any additional information you find about these Pokemon in here, okay?"
Nuria nodded, glancing eagerly at the screen. Right away she knew she wouldn't want to take Squirtle or Bulbasaur - they just didn't look like fun Pokemon to be around. Looking at Charmander, she felt a connection immediately - but not one that really made her heart soar. She frowned in confusion. "But...but...but...Professor, I don't want Charmander. Why don't I want him?"
The professor laughed. "Your destiny is to choose someone different, young one. While you may have fire within you, perhaps that fire isn't best translated in a companion, hm?"
Nuria nodded wordlessly, looking at the screen as the Pokemon flashed before her eyes. Finally, Eevee's picture came up. Nuria knew the moment she looked at the fluffy little Pokemon that while she was not special and was merely a normal Pokemon, she was the one Nuria desired. "I want that one," she said, pointing a paw at the screen.
"Then you want the last one on the right."
Nuria walked over to the table and picked up the Poke Ball. She studied it for half a second, and then felt the urge to throw it. Without even thinking about what she was doing, she threw the ball as hard as she could. It soared through the air, and upon impact with the ceiling, it exploded. Out of the smoke fell an Eevee. She yelped as she fell, and whimpered when Nuria caught her. Nuria smiled down into the Pokemon's face. "Don't worry," she whispered, "you're going to be fine now, okay?"
The Eevee looked up with watery eyes, sniffled, and curled into a ball in Nuria's paws.
The professor smiled, clipping a belt around Nuria's waist. "Those are more Poke Balls for you, all right? The one towards your front paw is for this Eevee to stay in. The rest are for you to catch other Pokemon. Got it?"
"Got it."
"You will not only use this Eevee to battle other Pokemon, but you're also expected to care for it as you would any member of your family. Understood?"
"Yes, Professor Rivers."
"Good. Now, one final thing before you leave. Your Pokemon might just be called an Eevee, but you have the choice to give her a nickname. Would you like to do so?"
Nuria smiled as she looked down at the Pokemon, fast asleep in her arms. "Matilda. I'm going to call her Matilda."

After putting Matilda back into her Poke Ball, Nuria went to the place she was instructed to go to next: the Gym. She stayed for many hours every single day for about a month, training with other Pokemon Trainers there, and getting two badges within the next four months. She obtained her second Pokemon, a Quilava she called Sprig, during this time as well.
One day, as she traveled from city to city looking for more Pokemon in her Pokedex, Nuria stumbled upon a lovely, quaint little house. Called the Pokemon House, this place housed Pokemon that had been abandoned by their previous owners. Nuria looked through the stalls and stayed there a week, helping the Pokemon who had been given a hard hand in life. While volunteering there, she found out about a Pokemon called Kainda. A Klefki Pokemon, this little one had been abandoned by her previous owner because of her being "too weak and useless to battle." Nuria felt compassion for the young one, and took her in as her third Pokemon.

Nuria became very good at battling, and while she lost quite a few battles in her time, she'd earned up 16 badges in no time. She was working towards getting her 17th...when she met Myrrddin.

Present-Day...
Nuria smiled as she watched Matilda and Vera play. Matilda leapt atop Vera's head, snuggling into her hair. With a contented sigh, the eevee fell asleep. Vera shook her head, dislodging the poor creature, who tumbled to the ground, snarling playfully at the RPW.
Avarice trotted over to Nuria. "Hello, Mrs....um....uh...." Forgetting her name, he cleared his throat and tried again. "Hi there, Vera's mom. How're you today?"
Nuria smiled. "My name's Nuria. I'm doing fine, Avarice. How're you?"
"Good, thanks." He dipped his head, quickly turning his attention to Vera. "Vera wanted me to ask you if I could sleep over at your house in a few days."
Nuria's mind was active. She narrowed her eyes in thought. Does this boy have pure intentions? She glanced over at Avarice, who was meekly looking up at her. Nuria nodded, her decision made. "What are your intentions, Avarice?"
"Um...sorry, but I don't know what you mean, ma'am."
"You're coming over. What do you plan to do while at my house?"
"Oh, that's easy," he said with a smile. "Watch movies with Vera and stay up all night long talking about rock music!"
"And you won't mind my Pokemon?"
His smile increased. "I love Pokemon. No problems there."
"They may keep you up."
"I hadn't planned on sleeping anyway, ma'am, what with the talking about music and watching movies."
"What movies will you watch?"
"Whatever you allow us to, of course."
She smiled. "Fine then, you may come over in four days."
"Saturday - cool! Thanks so much, Nuria! I mean, uh, thank you, ma'am."
She ruffled his hair. "No need for professional labels. I'm Nuria - call me as such."
"Of course, ma'am -" He coughed, and then corrected himself. "Yes, Nuria."
"Good boy," she praised, patting him on the shoulder. "Now, why don't you run off and spend a bit of time with Vera? I think Matilda is getting worn out playing with her. She can be a bit rough on the Eevee."
"Of course, Nuria," Avarice said with a smile and a flick of his candy cane-shaped tail. He trotted over, trading places with Matilda, who came racing back to Nuria, leaping into the thick fur on her chest.
Nuria laughed. "Now you'll remember not to stow away, Matilda!"
Matilda purred, feeling afraid and tired at first, but soon relaxing, enjoying the feeling of the heartbeat from underneath her master's fur.

Eight years previously....
Myrrddin was trying his hardest to get the spell correct. "Shadows," he murmured, focusing all of his loneliness into one place a few feet from where he stood. Suddenly, he collapsed, a solid black beam of energy shooting from his paws. This energy almost manifested into a creature, but dissipated in the cool air before it could form properly. Myrrddin cursed. "Are you kidding?" he weakly cried out, trying to stand but continuously falling to the ground, his legs feeling like jelly. He growled in frustration, using all of his remaining energy to hoist himself up to his paws. "I will not be bested by some stupid spell," he murmured, closing his eyes and focusing again on trying to summon the creature.
Something pushed him.
He fell backward, hitting his head on the hard bricks behind him. The last thing he remembered was a blinding white light. He was unconscious in seconds.

When his eyes opened, he blinked against the harsh white light filtering in through his tired eyelids. When his slitted pupils finally were able to focus, he found himself looking at an orange RPW with unruly yellow hair. Her white-less red eyes stared at him in concern. "You okay?" she asked.
He blinked again, and shook his head, which only resulted in him feeling dizzy. "Bit dizzy and weak, but fine, thanks. Why am I here? And...where am I?"
"Hospital," the orange RPW said, flicking her thick, bushy tail. "I found you laying on the street unconscious. My Pokemon helped me bring you here."
"Your...your what?"
The RPW smiled, reaching for her belt. She pulled out a small white and red ball and tossed it gently to the ground. It opened, and out popped a green and white creature, about half of the RPW's height. "This is Sprig. He's a Quilava," she said, smiling. "He isn't strong enough to carry others, so he wasn't a large help, but he does love snuggling."
He leapt up onto the bed, sniffed Myrrddin's face, and curled up next to him.
Myrrddin felt very awkward. "Um....uh...I don't do well with pets."
"He's not a pet," the RPW snapped harshly. "He's a Pokemon. If you think he's nothing more than a mere animal, I'll just leave you alone in here," she threatened, lashing her tail.
Sprig stood up, recognizing the threatening tone his master's voice had taken. He leapt off the bed, snarled in Myrrddin's direction, and spikes of fire sprouted from his back.
Myrrddin freaked out. "I DIDN'T MEAN IT!" he shrieked in fear.
Sprig believed him, and calmed down.
The orange RPW glared in his direction. "Who do you think you are, insulting my Pokemon like that? They saved your life, you idiot!"
"I'm...I'm...I'm..."
"You're WHAT, bozo?"
"I'm sorry," he said meekly. "I didn't mean to hurt its feelings."
"Sprig is a he," she spat.
"I didn't mean to hurt his feelings, honestly. I'm just really tired right now. What...what happened to me? I was trying to cast a spell, but something must've gone wrong, and-"
"You passed out," the orange RPW snapped. "And you're pretty lucky I took pity on you. I won't do that again anytime soon," she snarled, turning her back on him and trotting towards the door. "Come along, Sprig. We're leaving this moron to himself."
"Please, don't leave!" he called. "I don't have anyone else!"
She froze. "What did you say?" she said quietly.
"I...I don't have anyone else. My family's all dead."
"What?"
"I...um..." He sighed, trying not to burst into tears, the memory looping in his mind. "My mother was killed a few years ago in an accident with my mentor, who was teaching me how to shadow travel. When he showed me how to do it, something went wrong in his calculations, and...my mother was caught in the crossfire." He stopped, breathing heavily, doing his best to not allow the tears forming in his eyes to spill onto his cheeks. "My father died many years ago in a freak forest fire. I have no siblings, so...I'm alone. I mean, I sort of took in this younger RPW, but...I have no one else to be around. He can't really care for me, what with him being so young."
Her eyes narrowed. She refused to turn around. "What about your mentor, huh?"
Myrrddin's tears started leaking from his eyes. "He...he left me. Five years ago, he left me. Blamed me for my mother's death and refused to take responsibility. I'm sorry. I'm...I'm so sorry about this. I didn't...I didn't mean t-t-t-to..." His words were no longer understandable as tears streamed down his cheeks and sobs wracked his small frame.
The orange RPW turned around, took one look at Myrrddin, and realized he was being truthful. In her shock, she dropped her entire belt of Pokemon, who then all came out of their balls. They stared at Myrrddin in confusion. One stepped forward: Matilda. She leapt across the floor gracefully, eventually jumping onto his bed. She sat at the foot and stared up at him. "Eeeeeeveeeee?" she asked, tilting her head.
Myrrddin jerked forward, grabbed the fuzzy brown ball of fur, and hugged her tightly. She squealed in fright, but soon relaxed with his grip. "I'm sorry," he whispered between his sobs and gasps for air. "I just need someone. Please don't bite me."
Matilda smiled and licked him on the nose.
Sprig jumped onto the bed next, and leaned his head against Myrrddin's body.
Kainda silently floated over. She rested the tips of her keys against the crown of Myrrddin's head.
Jerry was next. Being a massive Arcanine, he could barely fit next to Mrrddin on the bed, but he managed to squeeze in next to him, laying his head on top of the RPW's head.
Spokane floated over next, and rested his tiny arms on Myrrddin's left shoulder.
The last Pokemon trotted over. A Shiny Rapidash, silver fire flowed freely from the pony's mane. Her dark grey hooves clacked against the floor as she walked towards Myrrddin. Out of the norm for her, Phoenix rested her large head on Myrrddin's leg, whinnying softly to calm him.
The orange RPW's eyes were filled with tears. "You...you...you..." she managed to breathe out, suddenly stopping her talking all together as she looked at the scene before her. Each and every Pokemon, who had sworn their lives to her and her alone, were now accepting another RPW as their friend. No, he would never be higher than she in their eyes - but the fact that they weren't all shooting balls of power at him was amazing. She took a deep breath and walked forward, towards the bed. She gently placed a paw on Myrrddin's head.
He looked up at her, tears still streaming down his cheeks.
She suddenly knew why her Pokemon were acting this way. Everything came together in her head, as if she had been playing a giant jigsaw puzzle and the final piece had been plaid at long last. "My name is Nuria," she said, smiling, tears making her eyes glitter in the harsh hospital lighting.
"I'm Myrrddin. Call me Myrr."
She smiled, and leaned down to kiss his forehead. "You'll never be alone again, Myrr. I promise."

Present-Day...
Myrr was in his study, working on potions. He'd just finished batch #342, and was taking a break. Staring at the crusted-over pages of his old spellbook, he was lost in thought, remembering the first day his life fell apart.

Two years previously...
"You've got to be kidding me. Acid, why are you leaving?"
"Because you invited HER into your life."
"I'm not replacing you," Myrr said. "I love you, Acid. You'll always be my son. Nothing will ever change that."
"You ignore me!"
"I'm not ignoring you - I'm just having to split my time up between you and Nuria. You can't blame me for falling in love, Acid."
"I do."
Myrr sighed, rubbing his forehead. "All this started when I brought Nuria into my life. You remember, don't you? It was six years ago."
"Don't remind me. For a whole five years we hung out and had fun, and now you've ruined everything. No, no, no - SHE has ruined everything, because YOU invited her in. And now you've got a kid! There's no getting rid of her now..."
"So you hate me."
"You and that fool you call your wife."
He growled. "You might be my son, but you will NOT talk about Nuria that way."
"Yeah, well, at least something good came out of your marriage."
"What's that?"
"Your daughter. Your REAL daughter, I mean. The one who replaced me as well. Oh, I like her, so don't worry 'bout me coming back for her. But you? And that foolish RPW who loves fire so much? No. NO. I hate you both. I don't ever want to see you again."
Myrr's eyes filled with tears. He was losing the only RPW that he had cared for after his parents' deaths so many years ago. "I love you, Acid. Please, don't leave."
"Begging will do nothing."
Myrrddin nodded. "Fine. You make your own choices in life."
"I'm leaving."
"So be it."

That night, Acid left without a goodbye. Myrrddin went to check on the boy, as he always did, and found his room completely empty. He broke down sobbing in the doorway, completely unable to process what was happening. He'd lost the only friend he'd had before he met Nuria. He had lost the only thing that, for five years of his life, had brought him happiness and joy. He sobbed so loudly, he was afraid he'd wake Vera. He stood and managed to creep out the door into the backyard, where he broke down and sobbed loudly, tears rolling down his face in torrents. His heart felt as if it had been ripped to shreds.
He felt a paw on his shoulder.
He turned around.
Nuria was there. "What's wrong?"
"A-A-Acid, he...he....he's..."
Nuria gently placed a paw on his cheek. "He's gone?"
He nodded, no words escaping his lips.
She hugged him. "It's for the best, dear. He'll be better off on his own. You've taught him well enough so that he can fend for himself."
He continued to cry.
"It's okay, Myrr. Everything will be all right."
He managed to choke out a few words. "At least you're still here."
Nuria hugged him tighter. "You remember what I told you before, don't you? I made a promise to you."
He nodded wordlessly.
"And I'll keep that promise, Myrr. As long as I'm here, you'll never be alone."

Present-Day...
Myrr shook his head, clearing the memory from it. He smiled then, remembering how Avarice had gotten involved in Vera's life after Acid left. His pup was distraught with worry and concern - Avarice was able to take that from her. "You know, that boy might just fall for her," he murmured, chuckling as he stirred in another ingredient into the vial. "No matter. Her destiny is her own, and not one for me to meddle in."
He turned around, and gasped in shock, nearly dropping his potion.
Kainda was floating right before his eyes. She smiled, chimed a happy little tune, and floated about the room.
"I thought Nuria put you back in your Pokeball, Kainda," he reprimanded the Klefki. He sighed, putting the potion down in a silver and glass container, stopping it off with a cork. "Kainda, really, I'm afraid you'll break something. Please leave."
Kainda chirped unhappily, and floated out of the open doorway.
Myrrddin frowned, slipping off his protective goggles. "I thought I closed that door," he murmured, trotting over and latching it shut, locking it twice. He slipped the key, which was always on a chain so as to make it easier to find, over his head. When he was sure it was snugly around his neck, he then rattled the nob, and found the door to be fully closed. "How odd," he muttered. Shrugging, he pushed the incident out of his mind, focusing on what needed to be done next with the potions.
What he didn't notice was a shadow lurking just outside the window. Its yellow, glowing eyes stared at him. It chuckled softly.

Nuria trotted forward, knowing that she'd need to get home soon to make dinner for Myrr. "Vera! We need to go now! Say goodbye to your friend, all right?"
Vera nodded, hugged Avarice goodbye, and raced off in Nuria's direction. "Ready to go, Mom!"

Vera trotted alongside her mother.
"So, what did you do in school today?"
"Uh..." Vera trailed off, thinking about what had happened earlier, and wondering if she should mention anything to her mother. She decided that she would, as Nuria couldn't do much in regards to the situation, but if the parent of the child came forth and started getting after her, Vera knew Nuria would need to know about what had happened. "Well, this kid tripped me today, and made me fall into a mud puddle."
"So that's why your hair is brown," Nuria commented, a slightly amused lilt to her voice clearly present.
Vera nodded. "I warned him with a growl, and snapped a bit - but I didn't bite him, I promise. Anyways, he was a wimp - looked pretty scared at my warning. He still didn't back down, though, so I kicked a dirt clod in his face."
"A small one, I presume?"
"Meh, it wasn't small but it wasn't large, either. Anyways, after it exploded in his face, I threatened to hurt him if he did that to me again. Then he backed down." Vera paused, and looked up at her mother. "You're displeased with me?"
"No, I'm displeased with the boy who did this to you. His mother should have taught him better."
"Or his father," Vera said with a slight smile. "You never know who his parents are."
"His mother," Nuria said with a determined look on her face. "I know she is overprotective and overbearing. Now, she obviously loves the kid - but she's not strict enough with him, even though she is overprotective. This combination has resulted in a bratty, spoiled child who decided to take out his annoyance with life on you." She steamed. "RPWs like that confuse me, honestly. Why they even decide to have children is beyond me. If you know you won't be a good parent, don't become one."
Vera nodded, lost in thought. "But, Mom, what if an accident happens? What if you love an RPW so much that the love manifests itself as a baby, but you know you won't be a good parent?"
"Well, yes, that does happen. That's how it happened with you," Nuria said, smiling down at her child. "I loved Myrrddin so much, and he loved me with the same intensity, that you were formed."
Vera smiled, beaming at the knowledge that she had been formed by love.
"As for a real answer to your question, though, you could always give the kid up for adoption. After all, before I had you, I looked into adopting. I even adopted Myrr's adopted child - you remember that?"
Vera nodded once again, the happy feelings gone from her features. A hardened look was plainly seen on her face. "Yeah, I remember the jerk all right. He deceived me into thinking he was my friend. Guess I learned early that the world isn't what it appears to be, huh?"
Nuria frowned at her child's foreboding language. "Vera, dear, do try to look at the bright side. Can you think of something good that came of it?"
Vera then smiled, remembering her friend. "I would never have met Avarice if that didn't happen. You pulled me out of the school I used to go to and put me here, where I met him."
"That's right. And I would have never pulled you out if Acid hadn't left us but continued attending there."
"Mmmhmmm."
Nuria suddenly got a wild hair. "Matilda, please crawl onto my back," she instructed, shaking the fur around her neck to wake the sleeping Eevee.
Matilda yawned, stretched, and crawled onto Nuria's back.
"Hold on tight," she whispered. Turning to Vera, she smiled, a confident look on her face. "So, Vera, you wanna race?"
"You know I love to race. Why even ask?" Vera said, slinging her bag over her shoulder. "Where to?"
Nuria chuckled, her claws coming out for better traction on the dirt and grass. "Home."
"That has to be at least two miles away!"
"Then we'll get our workout in for the day," Nuria responded, a determined glint in her eyes. "If I win, you have to fold the laundry for the next two days."
"And if I win, you have to make me enough carrot cake for me to eat as much as I want for the next two whole days. Deal?"
"Deal."
Matilda counted down the seconds as she gripped Nuria's fur tightly, a slightly frightened expression on her small face. "Eevee. Eeeeeveeee. Eeeeeeeveeeeeeeee. MAAAAATILDAAAAAAA!"
They were off, racing towards their humble home.

Nuria won, of course, having longer legs than short, little Vera. But Vera was very close...just not close enough. They tumbled into the house through the open door, and Matilda went flying off of Nuria's back. Thankfully Phoenix had just trotted out through another doorway in the house, and Matilda landed squarely on her back.
Nuria and Vera squeezed their way through the doors, laughing and trying to one-up each other. Nuria wasn't quite paying attention to where she was going, as she was so focused on her child's pleased laugh. She then ran straight into the locked door of Myrr's study.
Vera ran straight into her, even though she tried her best to dig her paws into the ground and skid to a halt.

BANG!
Myrrddin jumped in fright, the vial he'd been holding flying into the air. He leapt up and caught it, putting it securely into the case and stopping it up with a cork.
He glared at the door, pulled off his goggles, and started walking towards it.
BANG!
He merely flinched this time. He pulled off the gloves he'd been working with, tossing them in the trashcan. His narrowed, angry eyes were glowing as he unlocked the door and yanked it open.
Nuria fell right on top of him and pinned him to the ground.
Vera fell on top of her.
Both were laughing so hard, tears were streaming down their cheeks.
Myrrddin, once angry at the noise, now smiled and hugged his wife. "Dearest! You're home!"
Nuria was still laughing and was unable to respond to Myrrddin's statement for a good few minutes. When she finally caught her breath, she looked down into his eyes lovingly. "Myrr, my darling! What've you been doing in here all day?"
"Making potions."
"Teach me how to make them, Dad!" Vera said, her voice muffled as she dug her way out of her mother's thick back-fur.
Myrrddin chuckled. "Once I finish them, I promise I will, sweetie."
Nuria stirred, trying to sit up and get off of Myrrddin, but realized too late that her claws had lodged in his thick hair. She pulled and tugged, but this only resulted in her falling forward once again, laughter escaping her mouth. "I'm stuck!"
Vera managed to get herself untangled, and looked over at her parents with a slightly perplexed look on her face. "I can help, if you want me to."
"No, no," Myrrddin said, struggling to stand up. "It's fine, sweetie - we'll get ourselves out of this somehow."
Vera caught the hint. "May I go and play with Phoenix and Matilda?"
"Yes, but please include the other Pokemon as well, all right, Vera?" Nuria said, her lips still smiling.
"Yes, Mom," Vera said with a smile and a happy tilt of her head. With a flick of her tail, she raced off through the open doorway, trying to find the Pokemon throughout the house.
Nuria looked down with a smile. "Did you plan this, you idiot?"
Myrrdin looked up at her lovingly. "Nope, but I'm glad it happened."
"You're glad we're stuck?"
Myrr shook his head, a slight smirk on his face. "I'm glad I can do this." He suddenly shifted his weight, causing the two to spin in a circle, rolling all the other way to the side of the room.
Nuria laughed. "Myrr! I'm dizzy now!"
"That was the point."
"Jerk!"
"Fluffy-fur!"
"Idiot!"
"Bell-head!"
"Stupid-head!"
The two erupted in joyous laughter, which wasn't a common sound to be heard from both of them at once.
Nuria finally managed to dislodge her claws from Myrr's thick mane of fur. She stood to the side and lent him a paw to stand up.
He did so, sat beside her, and leaned his head on her shoulder. "I've missed you."
"I've only been gone for a few days, Myrr," Nuria said, leaning her head against his. "You know that I have to keep my Pokemon Trainer status renewed, and to do that I have to travel to the nearest Pokemon gym and battle someone."
"Did you get the badge?"
"Of course I did," she said proudly.
"I'm happy for you," said Myrr, "but I'm happier for me."
"Why's that?"
"I get you back."
Nuria smiled and kissed his forehead. "I never left, darling...and I never will."
Myrr looked into her eyes, a smile on his lips. "You promise?"
She stared at him, smiling. "Promise."
"Uh...Nuri?"
"Yes, Myrr?"
"May I, uh..."
"May you what?"
"Can I kiss you?"
Nuria burst out laughing. "My stars, Myrr."
"Wh-Wh-What?"
"You haven't learned yet?"
Myrrddin looked down at the ground. "I didn't mean to insult you, Nuria. I just - "
"Hush," she scolded him. "You've never hurt my feelings, Myrr, and I don't think it's possible for you to even do that."
"Then...why did you - "
"You can be as thick as mud sometimes," Nuria said with a smile. "You never have to ask my permission to kiss me, Myrr. I love you. You love me. Now, for other things, yes, permission is needed - but a simple little kiss, or a hug? There's no need to fear rejection, Myrr. I'll never tell you 'no' in regards to those things."
He smiled. "I love you, Nuria. You're the light of my life."
"And I love you, Myrr. Without you, I would never have found my place in this world."
He leaned his forehead against hers, a completely content look on his face.
She entwined her thick tail with his. She smiled, completely serene.

The shadow outside the window glared. It would have roared if it didn't know that doing so would create too much attention. The yellow eyes slitted, barely even visible. Anger rolled off of the being in waves as it stared in through the window at the two RPWs.

The next few days went by without the slightest problem. Vera did well in school, and was looking forward to Avarice coming over to spend the night watching Disney films with her. Nuria cared for her Pokemon, and trained them all the new moves she'd learned at the gym. Myrrddin finished up 400 of his 600 potions that needed to be completed, and was planning ahead for next week when he'd go and teach at the school.
Everything was perfect.
Except for the shadow.
The shadow followed Myrr everywhere he went. The shadow followed Nuria when she dropped off Vera at school, and then followed the young RPW around throughout the day. It spied on them, and they didn't even notice...until it was too late.

Vera came home from school one day feeling good. Tomorrow is the sleepover! she thought happily. She dropped off her book bag, patted each Pokemon once on the head, and went off to find her father. "It's potion-making-day," she said, ready to face the challenge head-on. She got to his door, knocked, and entered. "Hello, Dad!"
"Sweetie," he said, turning. He held a box. "I know we'd planned on doing potions today, but...well, I have a surprise instead."
"What is it?" she asked, looking at the box.
He opened it. "I want you to have this. It will protect you from anything that tries to harm you."
She stared at the orb-necklace. "It's very pretty, Dad, but...why give this to me now?"
"This has been in my family for generations. Each child breaks off a piece of the necklace and forges something of value to them. Because I was an only child, my parents allowed me to break off two pieces, which I formed into the beads in my hair and tail."
Vera looked at them, and nodded, noticing the resemblance.
Myrrddin smiled. "And now it's your turn."
"Do I break off a piece now?"
"No. For now, just keep the whole necklace. When you've decided what you'll make out of the bead, you may break off a bead and form anything from it, thanks to its magical properties. And, when you're old enough to have kids, one bead will go to yours, and so on and so forth."
"Why not give me two beads? I'm an only child."
Myrr coughed. "Well, that was the, um, other surprise. You're going to have a new baby brother or sister soon, Vera. Your mother just found out yesterday."
"You...you're serious?!" Vera jumped up and down with glee. "That's great!"
Myrrddin smiled. "I'm glad to hear you're not jealous."
"Why would I be jealous of a little sibling who will love and adore me?"
Myrr laughed. After he caught his breath, he spoke once again. "Now, don't tell your mother that I told you - she wants to tell you herself. I mean, she probably won't mind that I told you, but just to be on the safe side, keep quiet until she tells you about it, okay?"
Vera nodded, calming down and going back to her normally-serious self.
Myrrddin then got back to the main topic. "So, take this necklace, Vera, and decide for yourself what you wish to make with it. This will help you in all walks of life. But, Vera, I must warn you, sweetie - you can't lose this. If this falls into the wrong paws, catastrophic things will happen."
"Why?" she asked, reaching forward and taking the necklace in her paws.
"This necklace is magic. In good paws, it will protect and help whomever wears it. In evil paws, it will allow the user to take advantage of all others who have a piece of this necklace."
"Is that why you've kept it a secret all these years?"
"Yes. And now, Vera, it is up to you to keep the necklace safe. Can I trust you to do this for me, sweetie?"
"Of course," she said, smiling as she held the glowing turquoise balls, held together by thin pieces of chain.
"Good. I know you'll decide what's right for you, Vera, and that's all I've ever wanted."
"I love you, Dad."
"Love you too, sweetie."
Vera slipped the necklace over her head, and felt it automatically adjust, so that it was snugly 'round her neck. "I won't let you down, Dad. I promise."
The shadow smiled as it glared in through the window. "We'll see about that," it said, cackling as quietly as it could.

The next day, Nuria dropped Vera off at school as usual, and was on her way home. She was humming a happy tune, thinking about what she had to do for the day before she'd go back to pick Vera up at school. She found herself thinking of Myrrddin, and if they'd have time to go out to eat for lunch.
Vera was on her way up the dirt slope to the school at the top of the hill, her Star Trek badge pinned tightly onto her backpack. The necklace was still tightly gripping the fur at her neck.
Myrrddin had been experimenting with potions long before Nuria and Vera were awake, and had all six Pokemon keeping him company. He'd kissed Nuria on the cheek, ruffled his daughter's hair, and watched as they both trotted off to school. Then, it was back to making potions. He'd just finished his 50th for the day when he felt the ground rumble. He frowned, making sure everything was sealed tightly and put away properly. He gathered the Pokemon in the safest room of the house - the bathroom - and waited for the ground to stop shaking. Some Pokemon were fine - Kainda and Spokane were a-okay, floating in the air towards the ceiling; Phoenix and Jerry were all right as well, their hooves and paws planted firmly on the tile. But Matilda and Sprig were freaking out, racing all over the floor and squealing. Myrrddin did his best to calm them down, and looked at Matilda intently. "You are the calmest Pokemon I've ever known," he murmured. "Why are you freaking out all of a sudden? What's wrong?"
"MAAAATILLLLLLDAAAAA!" she shrieked, cowering to the ground and shaking in fear.
Myrrddin sighed. "If only I'd finished that potion that would've allowed me to understand you," he muttered angrily. "Can ANY of you tell me what's wrong?"
Phoenix whinnied. Jerry growled and glared at the door. Kainda and Spokane both floated farther away from the door to the bathroom. Sprig gripped Myrrddin's leg and whimpered. Matilda crawled over to where Myrrddin was and plunged her claws into his other leg. She refused to let go.
Myrrddin sighed. "All right, gang. Let's go find Nuria. I'm sure she can tell me what's up with you all. She's probably on her way back from dropping Vera off at school."
Every Pokemon suddenly freaked out. Phoenix stood and raced over to the door, bucking it down. Matilda shrieked and leapt off of Myrr's leg, landing on Pheonix's back, followed by Sprig. Jerry was hot on their tails, with Kainda and Spokane floating after him. All six Pokemon raced out of the house and towards the school.
Myrrddin followed as fast as he possibly could, wondering what the heck was wrong with all of the Pokemon.

Nuria was making a list of restaurants she wanted to go to when the ground started shaking. She quickly thought it was an earthquake and looked for shelter. Finding none, she raced as fast as she could towards her home, knowing she'd at least make it to the doorway for shelter, or that she'd find someplace else along the way. Standing out in the open, however, was not an option. While she was racing off, she could have sworn she heard Matilda crying. She continued to run, but as she got closer to her house, she knew she wasn't imagining it - she saw with her own eyes the group of Pokemon racing towards her. They surrounded her in seconds, leaping upon her and licking, nuzzling, and hugging her. "Woah, you guys!" she said, chuckling. "We need to find shelter! C'mon - let's get back in the house now, okay?"
They refused to let her get up, and the shaking was only becoming more violent.
Myrrddin raced over a few seconds later. "Nuria! Are you all right?"
"Fine! But we need to get inside, Myrr! We're not safe out in the open!"
"Call them back to their Poke Balls so we can move!"
"I don't have the belt!"
Myrrddin narrowed his eyes and raced back into the shaking house. He looked and looked, but couldn't find the belt anywhere. He managed to find three spare Poke Balls under the couch, grabbed them, and raced back to Nuria, tossing them her way. The balls caught Jerry, Phoenix, and Spokane. Matilda, Kainda, and Sprig were still left, but they were less of a threat to Nuria than Phoenix and Jerry had been. She gathered the balls and ordered the other Pokemon to stop surrounding her. They all trotted back to the house, and stayed in the open doorway after they made sure the door wouldn't swing shut on them.
Matilda refused to let go of Nuria's fur, and she was trembling horribly.
The shaking was so loud that it was hard to hear anything.
Myrrddin looked over at Nuria, and yelled, "Why is she so afraid? It's just an earthquake!"
"I don't know!" Nuria yelled back. "She keeps muttering about an evil shadow. I really don't understand what she keeps going on and on about!"
Myrrddin frowned. "An evil shadow?"
Suddenly, the ground erupted. Dirt flew everywhere, raining down on Nuria, Myrr, and the Pokemon. The RPWs shook their fur, and when they looked up, they paled.
Nuria did her best not to scream. "What is that?!"
The shadow was massive. It glared down at the two RPWs with yellow glowing eyes. Its voice was like a rock slide, loud and unpleasant to listen to. "You are the magician's nephew, are you not?"
Myrr nearly fainted from fright. "Um...what? You're...you're talking to me?"
"YOU!" it roared, reaching a shadowy hand down and grabbing him. It threw Myrrddin into the air.
Nuria screamed. "MYRR!"
Her shrieks did no good. The shadow creature continued to fling Myrr into the air, higher and higher with every throw. Finally, he wound up and threw Myrr out of sight.
Nuria's eyes filled with tears. "NO!" She dropped the Poke Balls, and they exploded when they hit the shaking ground. All six formed a circle around Nuria, protecting her from the shadow creature. She sobbed, crumbling to the ground. "No...no...Myrr...Myrr...please..."

Vera's whole school was in chaos. Children were screaming, crying, and throwing hissy fits.
She rolled her eyes. "What a bunch of wimps. It's just an earthquake."
Avarice raced over and hugged her tightly. "Vera! Oh, I'm so glad you're okay."
She frowned as she patted his back. "What? Um...why wouldn't I be okay?"
Avarice pulled back. "You haven't seen the news reports, have you?"
Her frown deepened. "What's going on, Avri?"
He took a deep breath, brushed his hair out of his eyes, and looked at her.
Vera had never seen his eyes before. "Your eyes, Avri...they're beautiful."
He bit his lip as he blushed. "Well, uh, thanks. I think you're rather pretty yourself."
Vera couldn't believe her ears. "You...you think I'm pretty?"
"Well, sure. I've always thought that."
The ground suddenly shook again, this time much harsher. The thin ceiling cracked above them, and plaster rained down.
"You have to listen to me, Vera. Get out of the school. Get out NOW. You can't be here for much longer - it will find you. You need to run. NOW!" He stepped back, and his hair once again covered his eyes.
"Wait!" Vera yelled over the noise from the shaking. "Why are you telling me all this? I mean, yeah, you're my friend, but...why do you care so much? Don't you want to be safe, too? Why risk coming back to tell me all this when you could've just run off?"
Avarice hugged her tightly. "If you're safe, I'm safe," he murmured into her ear.
Her eyes suddenly sparked turquoise. They quickly returned to their normal pink color, and she pulled back from him slightly. "Then you run. Get to safety. I'll see you again once this is all over, right?"
"I promise," Avarice said, nodding. "You have my word."
She nodded, stepping back. "I'll see you later, Avri. Stay safe."
Avarice suddenly darted forward and kissed Vera on the cheek. "I can't lose you," he said. "You're the only fried I've ever had."
"You won't lose me," Vera said with a smile. "You won't ever lose me."
And with that, she raced off down the hill, bolting back towards her home.

Re: My Form for RPWs #829, #858, and NxM Pup - DO NOT POST!

Vera raced ahead, her small paws pounding the ground as she ran, panting. Her eyes narrowed as her breaths came out in gasps. I'm not leaving you, she thought.
The ground beneath her cracked as another explosion rocked the air she breathed.
A closer explosion shook the very lungs within her chest.
The shadow creature was throwing balls of darkness, which exploded everywhere.
She was flying through the air again, but not of her own choice. She tumbled, head over paws, through the open expanse of nothingness. When she hit the ground, saying that she was winded would be an understatement. She choked, trying to get air into her tired little lungs.
Nuria screamed. "Vera! Get out of there!"
She looked over at her mother, cowering beside the shadow creature. "Where's Daddy?" she yelled.
Nuria shook her head as tears streamed down her face. "I'm so sorry. I couldn't save him..."
Time seemed to freeze for Vera. "Daddy's...gone?" she whispered in horror.
Her eyes lit up turquoise. Anger coursed through her veins. She looked up at the monster. "You don't scare me," Vera taunted.
The shadow became larger.
The shadow creature batted her away.
She flew through the air, tumbling head-over-paws until she slammed into the side of the house. A heap on the ground, she couldn't move.
Nuria snapped. "THAT'S IT!" she roared in fury. "You can hurt me all you want - but you DO NOT TOUCH MY CHILD!" She flicked her wrist, and from the thick fur emerged three different matches. She lit them, and threw them at the monster. One lit just in front of it, one behind it, and one beside it. Within a matter of seconds, the fire was crackling higher than Nuria had ever seen it.
The shadow creature was boxed in. Apparently, it hated fire.
Nuria had trapped it.
A dark magenta light suddenly emanated from a spot not too far away from the house. It surrounded the shadow creature and the fire and slowly drained each one of the life it held. Soon, the shadow creature was no more, and the fire was extinguished.
Nuria knew what the light meant. "Myrrddin is still alive," she breathed, shoving past her Pokemon and racing towards where the light had come from. She ran straight into Myrrddin, and both broke down sobbing. "Oh, Myrr, you idiot - I thought you were - "
"No, no, I'm fine, I'm fine," he reassured her, hugging her with one paw, while the other held a small, swirling ball of black and pink light. Suddenly, his happy expression turned cold. "Where is Vera?"
Nuria's eyes darkened. "No...this isn't right. She should have followed me here," she said worriedly.
Myrrddin raced forward, reaching the side of the house in no time.
The Pokemon had surrounded Vera, and each was trying in vain to get her to move.
She wasn't budging.
Myrrddin shooed them all away and knelt down beside her. He shoved his head down near hers.
She wasn't breathing.
He took her pulse.
Her heart had stopped.
Nuria finally reached the house, and the scene before her worried her very much. "Myrr...why isn't Vera moving? Did that monster knock her out?"
"She's gone, Nuria," Myrr croaked out, tears streaming down his cheeks.
Nuria fell to the ground. "NOOO!" she screamed in agony. "No, I refuse to believe that. Myrr, you're powerful. You brilliant idiot! You can save her!"
Myrr blinked the tears from his eyes. "I don't know if I can, Nuria. I can prolong someone's life...but to GIVE them life...I think that's even beyond me."
"You have to try, Myrr. Please...this is our daughter. YOU HAVE TO TRY!"
Myrrddin looked at the glowing orb in his paws. "I can try," he murmured, glancing at his daughter. "Forgive me if this does not work, sweetie." He pushed the orb into Vera's heart.
The necklace started to glow brighter as Vera was lifted up into the air, a pinkish-grey light surrounding her.
Myrr felt swayed by the wind the power was kicking up. "It's not enough!" he yelled. "She needs more energy!"
Suddenly, he got an idea. "Me," he murmured. "It's me." He narrowed his eyes, and put a paw to his chest. He yanked and pulled, yelling in pain as a large white orb of light came from his body. It floated up from his paw to Vera, still floating in the air.
He collapsed, unable to give any more of his life to her. "It's still not enough," he weakly called back to Nuria.
Nuria leapt forward. "Take mine!"
Myrr looked back tiredly, an expression of horror on his face. "You must be kidding. We've got a baby on the way!"
"And our other baby is in danger. DO SOMETHING!"
Myrrddin nodded, agreeing with her. He motioned for her to come forward, and she did. He placed a paw on her chest. "I'm sorry. This will hurt."
Her hardened gaze told him that she wasn't moving. "Do it. Save our baby."
He grunted with exertion as he pulled a slightly yellowish orb of light from her chest, and fed it up to Vera.
As Myrr had warned, Nuria was in great pain. She immediately fell to the ground as tears rolled down her cheeks. She screamed.
Myrr realized that Nuria had less of life energy than he had had, so he stopped. "That's all I can take from you, Nuri," he said weakly, laying down next to her. "If I take any more, you'll die."
She sobbed. "Vera won't make it, will she?" She looked up at the child, still floating, suspended in the air.
Myrrddin's eyes filled with tears as he looked up at her. "I've done all I can do. I'm...I'm sorry, Nuria. I'm so sorry."
"Don't be sorry, you idiot," Nuria said, reaching over for his paw. "You've done more than I could ever have hoped for. You did your best. That's all Vera would have wanted."
He grabbed onto her paw, and held it as tightly as he could have. Myrr suddenly saw movement out of the corner of his eye. He glanced over, and saw a teen RPW racing towards them.
It was Avarice.
"Vera!" he yelled in horror, skidding to a halt next to her parents. "What's wrong with her?"
"She's dying," Nuria explained.
"We need more energy to get her to come back," Myrr finished.
Avarice looked up at her and then back down at Myrrddin and Nuria. "Take mine."
"What?"
"Take my life energy. Save her. She's...she's the only friend I've ever had."
Myrrddin motioned for him to come closer. "Your parents will kill me, boyo."
"My dad will understand. Wolves do crazy things for love, right?" He smiled a crooked smile, a slight blush creeping into his cheeks.
Myrr was shocked for only a split second. He pushed his paw into Avarice's chest. "You realize this will hurt, right?"
"Sometimes, the best things in life do," Avarice responded with a nod. "Do what must be done."
Myrrddin closed his eyes and concentrated.
A pale green orb floated out of Avarice's chest and into Vera's.
Myrr suddenly collapsed, unable to transfer anything else. "I'm too weak," he whispered. "I can't take anything else..."
Avarice panted when he finally stopped yelling in pain. "It's fine," he said. "You tried your best, sir."
Suddenly, a blinding bright light shone from up above them.
All three weakened and weary RPWs looked up at the glowing ball of light. It shone brighter and brighter, until it exploded into a ball of rainbow sparkles that rained down on them.
Vera slowly drifted to the ground, and landed next to her mother.
She didn't move.
Avarice crawled over, being the one who was least weak out of all the RPWs who were there, and nudged her with his nose. "Vera? Are you okay?"
Vera groaned and rolled over, her eyes glowing turquoise. "What happened?"
Nuria cried tears of joy.
Myrr broke down and sobbed in the first time in weeks.
Avarice's eyes filled with tears. "You're okay. You-you-YOU'RE OKAY!"
Vera's eyes slowly dimmed back to their normal magenta. "What are you all on about? What's wrong?"
The only responses she got were wet, soggy hugs from every RPW there, and teary-eyed kisses from her parents.

Weeks later, once everything had been sorted out, Vera understood what had happened. She felt stronger now than she had before, and knew it would be no time before she hit her growth spurt. Avarice eventually confessed his love for her, and he and Vera hung out frequently...usually under the watchful eye of Vera's parents. Vera improved in her potions skills with her father as her mentor, and became stronger by working out alongside her mother.
Myrr never took another day for granted. He quit his job at the school and decided to spend his days more wisely with his family.
Nuria took back up her job as Pokemon Trainer, and earned up seven more badges within the course of the next three months. This job allowed her not only to travel, but to stay home with her family far more frequently than she'd anticipated.
Vera finally decided on what she wanted her bead to be. One day, she broke off a piece - her father, mother, and Avarice watching her intently - and held it in her paws. The bead felt malleable, like clay. She thought of what she wanted it to be, and felt the bead form into a solid, hard object, just as large as it had once been. She smiled, looking down at the turquoise elephant in her paws, a thin chain loop dangling from the bead. She looked to her left, where she'd laid the necklace. It glowed for a moment, and then ceased emitting light. Vera saw that where she had broken off a piece, a new piece had grown in its place, creating a seamless loop of chain and beading yet again. She slipped the new necklace around her head, and felt the chain magically tighten around her neck. She tugged on it gently, and didn't feel it move. She pulled harder, and it refused to break. She smiled up at her father. "I've chosen, Dad."
Myrrddin stepped forward, gathered the orb necklace in his paws, and put it back into the ornately-carved wooden container. "Why did you choose an elephant?"
Vera smiled. "Elephants never forget, and I never want to forget my past - only improve from it. The past has made me who I am today, and without it, I wouldn't be the wolf you see before you. No, I don't want to forget - I want to remember every last moment of my history, no matter how sad or awful it might be. I want to remember...forever."
Myrrddin set the box down and hugged his daughter. "I'm so proud of you, Vera."
"And I'm proud of you, Dad."
"For what?"
"For always doing the right thing."

And while it may sound cliche, they really did live happily ever after.
