How far do you think a writer should take their readers' advice?
This has bothered me too. I think that first and foremost, write for yourself. Readers are important and authors wouldn't really get anywhere without them, but you shouldn't let people influence your writing too much. If you do, you'll eventually stop writing your original story and basically be coping a fanfic.
But like, by all means, listen to advice. Even if you don't follow it, you'll have it for later. If it's something like "I like you could probably cut back on commas in this chapter" then go, read through, see if what they're saying makes sense. But if it's like "I don't like your descriptions at all" don't let it get to you.
Idk if any of that made sense, lol. I'm exhausted.
