Is there anyway you could change the settings so that I don't have to sign into my google account to view it?

We see the beauty in the pain —
The story in the rain.

The wind it wails softly by —
And we wonder: why?

The cold stone of mourning —
The bright light of dawn —
Have one thing in common —
Their stories go on.

We see the beauty in the pain —
The story in the rain.

Time wanders by on a slow, cold march —
And we wonder. Why?
The world is quiet here.

Honestly, a lot of it is experience. I have done some stuff in school, the really basic stuff when I was younger, plot, setting, characters, literary devices etc. But now it's mostly experience or YouTube. XD
My friend showed me an awesome YouTube account (Is that what they're called XD Brain fart.) Terrible writing advice. It is fantastic.

Well for grammar and such I did school (obviously) I have a pinterest board where I keep some particular things I find informative but I think the most I've learned about writing is from reading. Just reading, not even necessarily books about writing (though those can help) and just writing myself.

If crediting me for art/character design then please use TheSongOfTheStars on Toyhou.se
or FiveSecondsToFly on deviantart for anywhere else

I don't learn that much from school (I could rant about how they teach writing for days); most of my knowledge comes from reading and writing. I follow some blogs, most of them about worldbuilding and writing characters that don't belong to your race/culture/religion/et cetera. I also learn a lot about characters from studying real people--I'm definitely the type to sit in the corner people-watching. I tend to read a lot of memoirs, too.

Speaking of non-sequiturs, I didn't know that so many of you like rock music too!

I use the Institute of Excellence in Writing (IEW)... curriculum? Idk if I use the whole curriculum, lol. It teaches how to teach writing, as well as writing-structure and style. And it does everything gradually, too? So it teaches through gradual and repetitive; and it's pretty interesting, too. I observe a lot through reading as well, but IEW gives me the tools to notice things >^.^<

Three cheers for rock~! XD

What's the last thing you researched for a story?
I was wondering what people would be into first if they were in unfamiliar 'territory', so I asked about that on the Lazy Writers' thread. I think that was my last one...? :p

What's the last thing you researched for a story?

The average sizes of people from different countries, along with different fantasy humanoids. Mostly spriggans because I love them, but also kitsunes. :3
