Snip One

The Encounter
When I got to the grocery store where he worked I immediately searched for his form. I made sure no one saw me looking at him, waiting for him to notice me. Then he did notice me. I quickly looked away; "yeah good idea", I huffed. When I dared to peek another glance, he wasn't there. What? Where did he go? This is what you get for being shy, I scorned myself. I felt the disappointment grow inside me as I started to leave when I felt a tap on my shoulder. Swirling around, I met his bright blue eyes and his mischievous smirk.
"W-W-Will!" I stammered.
"Not so much as even a hi?"
I laughed, "Hi Will."
"Hello Cate."
He continued working and I left with a blush on my face.

Snip Two

The Friend Request
"Just do it", I tried to pep talk myself. "Just send the stinkin' friend request!" I was once again on his Facebook account, looking at his profile picture. If anyone ever found out I was creeping Will's facebook profile, I would never hear the end of it. My friends and family would tease me to no end.
My nerves got to me and I closed the window on my laptop.
"Stupid, stupid, stupid!" I scorned myself. I opened a new window and went back to his profile. "Deep breath's. Deep breaths." My mouse sensor hovered over the option to send the friend request.
'CLICK'
I slammed my laptop shut and screamed into a pillow.

Snip 3

*Will's POV*
She actually asked me to be her friend on Facebook. I sat there staring at the request for at least ten minutes.
Does she know how much I go to look at her profile? Someone must have seen and told her. Now everyone's going to tease me... right?
After getting over the shock, I accepted her request and analyzed every post she'd ever made... twice.
Maybe I'm being a bit obsessive...
She has the prettiest eyes I've ever seen. Every time I see her, it takes me a couple of minutes to actually say something. I manage to play it cool though, I wonder if she's thinking of me...

Snip 4

*Will's POV*
She actually sent me a friend request?! Dalton, my best friend, was the only one who knew I liked her, and that was only because he found out I had saved a picture of her to my phone. Dalton had been teasing me consistently and kept encouraging me to ask her out. It's not that I'm shy, it's just... Linda...
Linda and I had been on two dates, she's a nice girl, but I don't have the same sparks with her as I do with Cate. Cate started a wildfire inside me, but I'm afraid that wildfire could easily get out of control or overcome me and that's not what I want.
I accepted the friend request as I pondered these things... What am I getting myself into?

Oh my! I love these short snips. Most leave a lot of good things out and don't get too much to the point. I was flailing my arms when she sent the request, and even though this kind of starts off in the middle, it hits a lot still and still gives plenty. I also love how she shuts the computer and screams into the pillow, I'd probably have done something like that. XDD.

*Cate's POV*
I chewed on my thumbnail. He had accepted my request, but it wasn't enough. He hasn't started a conversation with me yet. I opened the chat box. If he accepted my friend request then surely he would like to chat. Right? So what should I say? I typed my option's.
heeeyy!!!! No, I don't want him thinking I'm some desperate pre-teen.
hi Ugh, too simple, as if I don't like him.
what's up sexy? I only typed this for my own amusement but then my finger slipped from the backspace key to the enter key.
I stared in horror at the computer screen. NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO!!!!!
"Nooooo!!!" I screamed at the computer.
