There are usually animals in the secondary and sometimes main cast when I'm writing fantasy; if I'm doing realistic or historical fiction, there's often some environmental theme or conflict. I actually don't really like using animal characters as pets.

Which roles do animals play in your writing?

Great roles. It's funny, either I have a fantasy work that's centered on animals or animal-like humanoids, or I have those very rare fantasy works that don't have animals at all. That comes even more rare if you count werewolves as animals, because then the only story that doesn't include animals that I can think of is "Broken Wing", my fallen angel story. I could include "The Six Heroes", a fantasy novel that I will eventually get back to, if you don't count centaurs or harpies as animals. I just can't help but include animals in my works, I love them so much that I'm going to become a zoologist, and I find them far easier to interact with than humans.

Basically none. Mack has Bailey and there are animals in the Seventh Kingdom and such, but I don't write animals. I avoid books with them cuz I really just don't enjoy that kinda thing, so I don't write about them much either.

Not many so far. If I do use them, theyll most likely be as pets and won't play much of a key role (though I may end up witting some fantasy stuff which will have talking animals and mythical creatures n such)

Next to none, really, besides pets. Which is funny actually. Before I really got into writing, I started roleplaying, and I would only roleplay animals because I thought humans were boring. When I got into writing stories and such, I figured that wasn't the case, and humans are actually quite fun to develop and create. Animals dropped from my interest list and now I only write and roleplay people.

All the roles. I just really like writing animals and find it much easier to handle one than a human character. If I'm doing humans I'm usually not very happy with how it turns out. Somehow it doesn't feel realistic.

Well. Not very big ones, actually. I mean, unless you count animal-human mixes as animals, then no, I can't remember the last time I really wrote an animal character in an actual story. They've all been humanoid.

But thank you so much! I did put a lot of time and effort into it and it's still far from done. I'm really liking where it's going so far though.

Hello, I am a couch potato writer basically

I am very good at formal writing (for essays, emails, that lot) but it's SOO BORING to me. My dad wants me to become a writer but I don't want to. "You have talent use it" I can do what I want with it lol *puts it in trash*

But it's useful when you need to write convincing emails :3 People always say I have a big vocabulary for my age but it's because I read a lot. Idk it just comes naturally
