Also; I started to ask on Discord, but then it never happened, so I have a question;
I have three ideas for a Primary Antagonist's motive. Without much spoilers, PA wants a magic thingie that would be bad for everybody except him. Should it be because A) his magic is weak and he was always ridiculed for it, and now he wants revenge, B) his parents/family didn't really understand their magic so something went wrong and they're out of the picture somehow, or C) he had a friend when he was really little and the friend's magic went haywire, killing them/putting them in a coma/making them unable to function on their own?
NaNo is free, so fear not! I did the camp last summer, and it was great. Not sure I can do this camp, though, since school, but I am cheering you on!
As for PA, Option A sounds a little like Dr. Doofenshmirtz from Phineas and Ferb, though it would be bad for obvious reasons. I'm not sure how Option B relates overmuch, unless this thing helps PA understand his magic, in which case I'm not sure it would be such a bad thing for everyone else. Option C sounds like it could be a good motive, if the magic doohicky somehow promised to fix all the ills with said friend ((Like Anikin in Star Wars getting more dark side power to save his wife. Except then it doesn't work the way he wanted it to and still didn't save his wife.))
