For those of you who have done Nano, what's the best way to prepare?
Well, I did the camp this July. I'd definitely suggest having a plot outline ready to go, because there will be days when you won't want to write. If you have the plot worked out, you can then go through on those days and write from one point to the next and fix it in later drafts.
How many characters have killed? And have you brought some back to life in another story just to be eventually killed again?
A little morbid, but no. I haven't actually done it. I did have this story planned out that I never actually wrote where a side character was found dead, and later the main characters had to talk to him using someone who could talk to the spirits of the dead, so that was kinda resurrection, but not really.
Are you doing Nano? What'll your story be about?
I don't think I will, for the same reason I did it in the summer. School is problematic, and I'm getting nightly homework that's hard enough to keep up with. If I did, it probably would be a collection of short stories or maybe one long one on a response to a quote out of context or nine. ((If you're ever looking for things to write about, listen in on someone else's conversation long enough to catch just one line, and use that as your starter. It leads to some interesting results!))
