Hey, thanks! c:
Aaah, I'm so sorry, that sucks! D: It's... kinda fifty-fifty, actually. They're quite dumb, so we have to make sure their water levels stay low, and have to try and make sure they don't chase us out into the real world, lol. They're so teeny that they can fit through chicken-wire as well, though, which isn't useful for trying to keep them alive! So yeah, with the first clutch we had to run out and catch chicks every now and then before the cat found 'em o,o

Mama's been disguising her nest again, and I haven't seen her move from it — which means I still can't count the eggs! I did manage to get some pictures of her brooding, though:

She was trying to turn them and nearly knocked herself over, poor thing, lol.
Afternoon:
She finally moved off to get food, and there are eleven eggs! o:

Naw, male-quail was preening the other girl; giving her a cute lil head-rub :'3
Both girls were working on hiding the nest o.o

Well the first clutch last year only hatched about half-ish, so I'd guess probably that again? It'll be interesting to see, though, because my mum's started wondering if both females were using the nest (and I'm starting to doubt it, lol). So if that's the case, and they share incubation, then I guess the outcome could be higher ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

There's still only thirteen eggs, btw :p
I did document them doing... something...? a few days ago though, but I keep forgetting to post it lol; hopefully tonight, since I remember rn XD
