How do they use it to achieve their dreams?: Veli was born weak, embarrassed of her strength, she sought out to change her fate. Although nothing can be done by powers known outside of magic, Veli has an unfailing and determined heart, by each day, she has grown a slight bit stronger. Her strength in spirit might outweigh her physical abilities, but she believes this does not make her any less worthy of being known as strong.

How do they use it to achieve their dreams?: Melin grew up in an old part of Western China, protected by a border of mountains. The village was poor but happy, each day was a wonderful surprise! A long time ago, war raged upon China, everyday innocents were killed and scattered. The invaders raided villages and took anyone they could as slaves. That included Meilin’s grandfather. One day, her grandfather had taken a course of action by gathering everyone that had been captured at night. With a torch in hand, they ran through a hidden tunnel at the side of a hill. Through the tunnel they ran, chased by the invaders who had awoken and were gaining on their tail. Eventually they lost them in the tunnel and managed to make it out alive to the inner area of the mountains where they formed the village. Meilin often wondered, how did grandfather knew when to escape and what course of action. So one day, she decided to ask him. “Grandfather, there is something that I’ve always wanted to ask you. How did you manage to escape the invaders who attacked our home? I don’t think I could have done that, I’m not brave, strong, or clever.” Her grandfather smiled with a twinkle in his eye. “Come child, there is always more to strength and intelligence then the eye can see. Take a seat.” Curious Meilin sat in front of her grandfather, wondering what he had to say. “Now Meilin, I am no genius nor am I as strong as a bull. But... I am a confident man, that night, I was confident that we would make it, it was our only hope. Remember confidence is the key, not the enemy. Use it wisely and it will take you anywhere.” Her grandfather stoped, then started chuckling. “Oh what am I saying, my age must be getting to me. Don’t worry Meilin, I have confidence in you.”

From that day on, Meilin grew more confident in herself little by little. It started off with small fixes in her village, like what to do if the well was out or if the farming told broke. Her greatest dream though, was to continue her grandfather’s legacy of his confidence. He was confident in her so she must be confident with herself.

How do they use it to achieve their dreams?: Amai has always dreamed of being the fastest kal alive, they’ve never been seen doing anything slowly. Nothing is fast enough for this kal. They use their strength to run in huge marathons, usually placing at 1st or 2nd. (They hate hearing about the only time they’ve ever placed at 3rd...) They’ve always loved zooming around their house ever since they were little.
Extra: The one time they placed in 3rd, they’d broken their ankle. They broke it while running, not stopping to check it or anything. When it broke, they felt a sharp pain but didn’t care at all since they were so close to the finish line. They’d only winced slightly, not wanting to bring any attention to themself at all so they could keep running.
