I had a lot of fun with this one. Yet another in the "gift pet" series, this one is based on a leopard gecko! My stepdad has a couple of these and honestly they are just the coolest. I love how smiley they always look XD too dang cute!

The viscling looked through the window with scared sharp eyes. The humans were tall and daunting, towering over him with ease. It was pretty busy today in the shop, as the spotted viscling could see other visclings being picked up by the humans, and taken away to be never seen again. He wasn't sure where they were being taken, but his naive little young mind just hoped they were okay.

While he was spaced out in thought, two figures loomed over him. Coming out of a trance, he could see they were interested in him, almost curious. He lowered his ears in fright. A fond look graced both figures' features, before they left to go to the front desk, where the owner of the shop was standing. The viscling was rather warm to that particular human, as she was the one who would clean his cage and give him small kisses and hugs. Even then, he was still scared of other humans.

His ears perked up as the shopowner looked towards him. 'Ah! I'm so glad you are interested in him! I was afraid no one would adopt him for his unique mutations. Tch. Scares away the children, apparently,' He could see her talking animatedly to the two strangers, but he wasn't sure what she was saying. Then, all three of them started walking towards his cage and he could feel his anxiety spike up again. What were they going to do to me?

She unlocked the glass door and slid it open, cooing soft words to the viscling as she came to pick him up. It helped to ease him slightly, but he was still unsure of what was happening. She brought him to the desk, still whispering soft words to the viscling, before looking back up to the two figures and speaking in that language he still didn't understand. 'A bow, yes?'

'Yes. He's a gift for our special someone,' One of the figures smiled gently and winked.

The woman nodded, and bent under the desk to get out a blue ribbon, as well as a treat for the viscling. She gently picked up the tip of his tail with one hand, while offering the treat to him with the other. He took the treat as she began tying the ribbon around his tail into a beautiful bow. Once finished, she stood back and nodded sage-like, before giving him one last hug and kiss on the forehead.

'Thank you so much for adopting him. I was so worried that no one would take him. I know he will be in good hands.' She looked at the two figures gratefully, before picking up the viscling and gently handing him to one of the figures. They exited the shop, viscling in hand, walking to their vehicle which spooked the little creature out- What a weird looking machine, a huge block of metal?, he thought. They placed him in the backseat, before getting inside the car themselves. Both figures looked at the viscling, and he stared curiously back. One looked at the other, before saying, 'If I love him already, I know he will too.'

"Alright, who did it." The now grown viscet stared hard at the two dog-like visclings sitting in front of him, both looking very guilty.

"D-did what, Kiwi?" The brown one decided to try her luck and act clueless. It clearly wasn't working. He just glared even harder.

"I know one of you did it! You ate my food! It was right there on the table when I left!" He accused. Both visclings shrunk in fear, looking at the empty and torn bag that now laid on the floor. While the commotion was going on, a figure (now known to Kiwi as 'Mom'), came down the stairs. She could already tell what had happened, and laughed to herself as she saw Kiwi's angry stare.

'Now, now, Ki, don't get mad. I'll bring all three of you to the park later and we can get some more food afterwards,' She soothed him. Hearing the words 'park' and 'food', all three of the viscets brightened up, to Mom's amusement. 'Go outside and play. I'm gonna get ready, and we'll go to the park in a few,' She opened the door, signaling that they should go outside. Kiwi gave the two visclings one last hard stare, and got into a position ready to pounce.

"You guys are still not off the hook." He said, glaringly. The two visclings knew what was about to happen. They took off, scrambling for the door, and Kiwi counted to 5 before he began chase. Mom laughed again, before sighing fondly.

'Ah, I remember when you were a shy little thing. You've grown so well, Kiwi.' (790/800)
